I just got a response from the reservations specialist at the resort (I cut & pasted some of your questions...)
Here\'s what she said:

Quote
Thanks so much for those questions.  There are several great ones in there.  As well, i\'m taking these questions and posting them into the Travel Tips / FAQs section.  Were you able to find that section on the website earlier?

Please feel free to contribute any more questions that you run into, as I\'d like to keep the FAQs section up to date the best i can.

A few things to keep in mind to pass to your friends is that WE ARE NOT the same promoters as Rock the Resort.  I\'ve been coordinating festivals for many years, as well I\'ve worked on every Jam Cruise (one of only 27).  I\'m familiar with what\'s going to make this event work and you\'ll never miss another one after you experience your first.  THAT I can guarantee!  It seems like a pricey ticket, but when was the last time that you were able to rock out to your favorite bands with less than 1,000 people in attendance?

****

Why does this event cost so much compared to your average festival?
The answer is easy, this is NOT your average festival.  You have a bed to retire to at the end of the night, you have your own personal shower & toilets, you have room service, maid service, full bar services and you also have all of the other perks that come with any resort.  You DO NOT have to pack a tent, setup a tent, sleep on the ground, pack up a tent and most importantly, you don\'t have to deal with rain!  From the moment that you drive onto the property, our number 1 goal is to make YOU feel pampered.

Will there be bars on site?
There will be multiple full liquor bars open on site, as well as satellite beer stations.

Can I bring my own alcohol?
YES! One of awesome perks of The Rock n Roll Resort is that it is BYOB if you are 21+!  We understand that this isn\'t a cheap ticket, but when you factor in all the savings by bringing in your own alcohol vs paying expensive venue prices you end up saving A LOT more money!

Can I bring my own alcohol everywhere?
You cannot bring your own alcohol into the music venues, but you will be allowed to bring in your own alcohol into the venues after the bars must close, as per NY State law.  You can bring your alcohol anywhere else throughout the property at any other time as well.

How many beds per room?
Rooms either have 2 double beds, 2 queens or 1 king.  If you add in a third person to your room you will also have a rollaway cot in the room.

If you come in a group of three (3) people, you will have a rollaway cot brought to the room that you purchased.

If you come in a group of four (4) people, it will be assumed that there will be 2 people sleeping in each queen bed.

There will be a maximum of 4 wristbands allowed per room.  Rooms with king sized beds will have a maximum of three (3) patrons in them.

What is the difference between ext balcony and a balcony room?
Extended (Ext) rooms are rooms with queen beds, whereas rooms that aren\'t labeled \'Ext\' have double beds.

cheers,
shannon

While I agree wholeheartedly, you have to think of this in a different context IMHO. Think of it in the context of something like Jamcruise, and it has more similarities to that than a traditional Music Festival. Not too mention this is in April.

After having chatted with my friend last night briefly about this I think I am def going to go. There are some announcements planned that I think are going to please a lot of people.

The Spa will be open so that will be a nice plus. the BYOB is a very nice touch. I have known one of the people involved for over 10 years. He definitely knows what he is doing, I have personally worked festivals with him, and other business ventures over the years. I think this is going to end up being epic.

Food for thought:  Will the chances of getting laid at Rock n\' Roll Resort Fesetival be higher than an "average" festival?
