I was home sick last night so I literally watched everything TNT had to offer NBA wise.  I really enjoyed the fantasy draft.  It was awesome for a basketball nerd like myself.

As for the saturday night competitions, I am shocked that Ray or even Paul (both being in the final round) did not win the 3 point contest.   Ray had an awesome first round nailing 20.  But then couldn\'t pull through in that 2nd round.  Slam dunk contest was ridiculous.  The whole Blake Griffin over the car bit was over the top.   I personally enjoyed JaVale McGee\'s two basket double dunk.

The dude with the dunk from the actual foul line was impressive and Griffin with his elbow in the hoop was better than jumping the hood of a Kia.

i didn\'t catch the second half of the first round or much of the finals. blake\'s car dunk wasn\'t really that great. ibaka\'s foul line dunk was pretty good, especially considering the dude is 7\' tall. i would have liked it if mcgee broke out the double dunk in the finals...or maybe just did the arms spread double dunk (the one he attempted once during his first attempt) as the first dunk. huge degree of difficulty with that first 50 pointer. it would have been great if blake completed his first dunk (the huge tomahawk reverse 360) on his first attempt. just watching him try and miss had me in awe

ok just youtubed the rest of the contest. looks like derozan got robbed. griffin\'s dunks really not that impressive

Derozan definitely should have made the finals.  I think he would\'ve given Griffin better competition than McGee.  that being said the final round is all up to fan voting so Griffin would\'ve won no matter who he was up against.  Griffin\'s first dunk was his best though.

last night actually was an awful all star game to watch.
smartly, doc rested the four celtics for most of the game. (no surprise there)
i still haven\'t recovered from cheering for lebron (in a moment of weakness).

I have to disagree and say the car dunk was awesome.  Huge risk factor for starters.  He\'s got to jump over the hood while looking up at the ball.  Jump too close, you smash your knees into the car and then faceplant on the hood.  Jump from too far, you can\'t grab the rim and faceplant on the floor on the other side of the hood.  Check out this vid for how close the jump is.  It\'s pretty dangerous.  Throw in the nice touches of the sunroof alley-oop and Griffin dropping off the rim onto the hood you have a sweet looking dunk.

There\'s also the behind-the-scenes aspects of the dunk.  Griffin and Davis are both Clippers and the contest is on their home court.  In fact, the dunk is probably the greatest moment in the history of the Clippers franchise.  You have the most explosive dunker alive doing the riskiest and glitziest dunk of the night.  Can\'t ask for much more.

I watched the first half against the Nuggets last night. and quite disgusted, went to sleep at half time.   You can tell the whole team chemistry is off.  They are emotionally hurting. I don\'t know what Danny Ainge was thinking.  Sure, Perk had missed half the season and they were winning technically without him.  But having his presence is important.  The Celtics are like a family.  I don\'t know why a GM would screw with the team\'s mental game as we head into the playoffs.  That was a summer move.

As for the Thunder, I hope they take out the Lakers at some point this playoff season in the West.  That will be the only good thing to happen out of this whole Perk trade.

On a side note, watched Heat-Bulls last night.  Bulls impressed me a lot.  I really think that they are the team to beat in the East.

Danny Ainge for Executive of the Year. Awesome. Anyone know the address to send flowers?

I\'m used to The Lakers facing the better teams in the league. They DO play in the Western Conference.

While I\'ll admit to somewhat myopic vision when it comes to the 2 time Defending NBA Champion Lakers I am just really happy to see the Celtics make a really fucking stupid move.
