I had a classic moment this morning at my doctor\'s office.  I\'ve been seeing this specialist a lot over the last few months, and he\'s actually become a really good friend at the same time. and today, I had to be checked out for something again, and sadly, got bad news.  But to break the tension, before he told me, to make me laugh, he goes, "I am pretty nervous for you......" he took this dramatic pause  "....I don\'t think the Celtics are going to win without Perk."

my original post was talking celtics.   If the celtics pull this off without perk, i will be impressed.  I still believe they can do it, but I just don\'t know how Big Baby and Wallace are going to stop those gangly arms of Gasol.  C\'s have proven they can deal with the 30 point Kobe games, and still win.....but they have not proven they can box out the Lakers big guys without Perk.  Last game was proof of that.  By no means am I jumping ship, but I am worried.  Its going to take the entire team to step it up.   The big three and rondo better have the games of their lives. I know they have it in them. I just hope its tonight!!!

GO CELTICS!

Well, that will go down as a classic finals game.  Celtics leading for three quarters, playing tough defense, offensively mismanage themselves and hand the title to the Lakers in the 4th.  They never should have lost that lead.  No excuse.  They were out rebounded and outplayed in that 4th quarter.  Even at the end, with a chance to come from behind and tie it...they just couldn\'t get themselves together.

Personally, both teams played awful tonight.  Low scoring game.  The Lakers proved to be the less shitty of two teams.  Congrats, Lakers fans.    And thank you, Celtics, I did enjoy this playoff ride.  till next year.....

artest thanking his psychiatrist after the game was high comedy. i don\'t know if i would call that game a classic. memorable but not classic. i\'m not a fan of either team (i was rooting for the celtics) but i\'m kind of glad that kobe was able to (mostly) redeem himself after the first three quarters. just a brutal offensive game all around, though it was due to some excellent defense, so it\'s almost forgivable. i\'m not sure the celtics ever should have been winning that game. they were outplayed from the start.

i have a feeling this offseason will bring a lot of change to both of these teams and the nba in general.

Congratulations to the 2010 NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers!

A brutal series that pushed me to the limit as a fan, but I never gave up, even as Kobe missed shot after shot last night, and ultimately, defense won the championship. And of course, Kobe and Pau came up huge in the fourth quarter, as did Fisher with the three.

But the hero of the game was none other than your friend and mine, Mr. Ron Artest. When no none else did squat in the first half, he got steals and hit shots. He saved their season. What a player. What a team. What a franchise.

Go Lakers!

Ron Artest is the best interview EVER!!!!!
So it all came together just in time to disappoint celt fan worldwide. I FUCKING LOVE THAT! FUCK THE CELTICS AND THEIR LAUDED HISTORY. ALL THAT SHIT IS IN THE PAST. THE LAKERS ARE THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE AS IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN. FUCK THE CELTICS! A Finals win against them is sweeter than over anyone else and it\'s really too bad that all celt fan got from "The Big 3 +1" was one title. No it\'s not they got fucking lucky that time also that The Lakers really didn\'t understand their own greatness at the time.

Kobe has 5 and it\'s not going to end anytime soon even with his injuries and age Kobe is not done. Sorry non Lakers fans but Kobe is hungry for more and will get his.
For all the talk of boston being the better "team" it sure was a total Lakers team effort that put those fucks in the grave.
Yep they got old real fast and showed they just could not keep up with the real Champs when it counted.
Did I say fuck the celtics already?

you are most definitely right with that comment. this summer that team will be picked apart.  I think Rondo will be all that\'s left.  and maybe Pierce. But there\'s a lot of talk Pierce will jump ship.  Ray Ray is a free agent and will not get signed back.  Garnett may be traded.  Danny Ainge in assembling that team proved that he\'s heartless and he will get rid of whoever he has to, to make a winning team.   Doc Rivers will no longer be the coach, he made it loud and clear after the game by stating "was" and not "is"when answering questions.

So when the celts take the floor in the late fall, should be interesting what team is actually out there.....

I just hope, no matter what they do, they create a team that can beat you guys next year in a game 7 fourth quarter.

He was the reason that they were in the game for those first 3 quarters.  I had doubted Artest and his abilities, but he clearly had Paul Pierce pegged and just outplayed him.

In the Celtics, I was the most disappointed in Paul Pierce.   We already knew Ray Allen was in a starks-like shooting funk.   We already knew Garnett was giving all he could.   But Pierce...he spent most the game trying to showboat and be the hero.  And that does not win a title.   I have to say I was impressed with Wallace/Davis.  They both played with such heart. I had been worried about them replacing Perk, and I was wrong.  I really should have been worried about the ego of Paul Pierce.
