I won\'t cry leith, i don\'t invest all of my emotions in professional sports.

sorry i didn\'t lay out every situation in which the lakers could win this game, next time i\'ll make a lengthy diatribe discussing every possible scenario.

It\'s the difference between actually being a great team and being great because the other team wasn\'t playing to their potential.

So basically, what happened tonight, right?

No not at all. See When The Lakers played a shitty game like last game and relied on Kobe they lost by 6 and actually made it a game at the end. The celtics play shitty and The Lakers made them look like kids on the court in complete control the entire game.
See the difference?
Either way Cheers to Game 7!

the celtics had their asses handed to them in game 2 against the cavs, moreso than the lakers did tonight.  they came back and won the next game and eventually took the series.  they had their asses handed to them in game 5 against the magic, guess what?  the celtics came back and took the series.  you still act like the lakers are the only great team on the court, when the celtics wouldn\'t be in gam7 of the nba finals if they weren\'t great enough to overcome the obstacles that they already have.  at least recognize that and don\'t just put your blind love of the lakers in front claiming their the only good team playing at this point in the year.

Absolutely right.   Lakers fans keep forgetting that this is not the Celtics of the regular season, the Celtics of the playoffs have been entirely a different creature.  They bounce back after horrible losses.   Even in this series..... look at Game 2 and Game 4.  Someone will step up and do something on Thursday. I don\'t know who.  Pierce, Garnett, Allen (he is half way out of his miserable funk)??    I really think the make or break is if Perk plays.  I just have no faith in Wallace right now and Big Baby can\'t do it all alone....

They\'re playing in L.A. not at home like against the Cavs and frankly I feel the celtics are lucky to be here at all and
are only in Game 7 because The Lakers haven\'t played like this except for in Game One.The celtics have not showed the type of dominance in an entire game as The Lakers have in 2 of their 3 wins.

They got lucky in Game 2 with Allen playing out of his head. I guess you can hope it happens again....

so if the celtics win game 7 by 3 points are you just gonna consider the Lakers the uncrowned champions since they didn\'t win by an amount you deem high enough to be championship material?

Not at all. If both teams play a great game and it\'s not one sided and actually contested the whole game instead of one team letting up as the celts did last game and Kobe was able to keep The Lakers in the game. If The Lakers had pulled out that win I would have been agreeing with Tray that Kobe won that game for them but by no means would it have been a great win but one I would have taken.
I\'m just saying the celtics have won squeakers and The Lakers have won big. I expect if The Lakers play like they did tonight the celtics have no chance no matter how well they play.

This series is real convenient... Lakers win game 1 and 3... Celtics win games 2, 4 & 5...  Oh no, elimination game, of course Lakers win...  Game 7, Lakers at home...  Of course Lakers win, that\'s how it was scripted at the before game 1 of the series...  I wonder who was in on it this time, maybe the players this time...

my grandfather used to always tell me basketball was fixed.  and i would argue with him.  but you know, i had a discussion with the hubs, a day or so ago, and i said to him, if celtics don\'t win in game 6... every gambler in the world will bet against them in game 7 and go for the lakers.   So, if the celtics won, gamblers would be poor, bookies would be rich. So if Celtics win in Game 7, part of me is going to question if the old man was always right....

on a superstitious note, I bought a rondo tshirt at the TDBank Garden the night I went to Game 4 vs Orlando Magic.  I put it on at the game, and they lost.   Long story short, every time i wear that damn tshirt, they lose.   no joke.  games i dont wear it, when its down in the wash....they win.    Last night, wore the effin shirt.  So, Thursday, no Rondo shirt.

I don\'t really care about basketball; but I said at work yesterday that last night was the celtics chance to win.

I don\'t see them winning game 7.

I used to be superstitious, but then I realized that what I did or wore had no bearing on the outcome of the game... I do however have the utmost respect for the superstitions of the actual players...

I had a classic moment this morning at my doctor\'s office.  I\'ve been seeing this specialist a lot over the last few months, and he\'s actually become a really good friend at the same time. and today, I had to be checked out for something again, and sadly, got bad news.  But to break the tension, before he told me, to make me laugh, he goes, "I am pretty nervous for you......" he took this dramatic pause  "....I don\'t think the Celtics are going to win without Perk."
