i\'ve held many a breakfast pregames at peculiar pub. but let me warn you: it gets very crowded, is difficult to get beers quickly, and the beers are typical NYC prices -- meaning, like 6 or 7 bucks. but that being said, they have good beers there. i wouldn\'t mind going there, but personally, money\'s tight and i would prefer the cheaper option..

if beers are $3 then I\'m fine with Down the Hatch...and they better not be more than that b/c they have a SHITTY beer selection.  Peculiar Pub has a HUGE beer selection, and there is a wide variety between $4 and $6.

peculiar pub beer selection:

like i said, many a pregame at the peculiar pub. and you know i love beers. i just figured down the hatch would be cheaper. but really, whatever. let\'s do peculiar. and i swear i\'ll eat my hat (or whomever\'s hat) if i buy a pint there for less than $5, like that old menu says. there\'s no way.

so peculiar it is. we all confirmed for that? i\'d hate to have someone lingering at down the hatch...

Looks like the Train unless you really want to drive.  If someone who is driving back to CT on the Merrit/95 let me know (and you have space for 2-3)

ok, let\'s meet at puculiar -- 9:30-10ish -- have some good beers and then if we need to transition into high-gear drunken retardedness (which we will, of course...) then we can shift to down the hatch. it\'s a short walk.

Does look like an old menu...i\'ll take Diana\'s word that prices have increased.  Worst case scenario, the bars are 5-10 minute walk from each other.  Let\'s start at down the hatch.  inCognito, have we met?

ok, so we\'re back to down the hatch, yeah? probably a safe bet to keep original plan to avoid confusion. we could always migrate if down the hatch blows.

first of all, you\'re killin me, nels!

secondly, what\'s tricky (aka pretty deceiving) about those prices is that they don\'t include the 15% gratuity that they add to all drinks.

seriously tho, i\'m on deadline. stop changing our plans!
