SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (AP) -- A member of Utah\'s polygamous Kingston clan was sentenced Monday to a year in prison for taking a 15-year-old cousin -- who was also his aunt -- as his wife.

Jeremy Ortell Kingston pleaded guilty to incest in an arrangement with prosecutors. The felony charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor if Kingston successfully completes three years\' probation.

Kingston was 24 when he took LuAnn Kingston as his fourth wife in 1995. Family members say he has at least 17 children.

At a hearing in October, Kingston told the judge: "I had a relationship, a sexual relationship, with LuAnn for about four years. That relationship ended about four years ago."

After Monday\'s sentencing, Luann Kingston told reporters: "I was glad that they saw through all of his save-face comments."

LuAnn Kingston left her marriage in 2000, taking with her their two daughters. She said she went to police hoping to set an example for other polygamous wives.

The Kingston clan, also known as the Latter Day Church of Christ, includes an estimated 1,200 members. The secretive group has amassed a $150 million business empire, running Utah companies that include pawn shops, restaurant supply stores and dairies.

The clan is not part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which practiced polygamy widely until the 1890s, when church leaders renounced it as a condition for Utah statehood.

Polygamists are now excommunicated from the Mormon church.

Last year, Jeremy Kingston\'s uncle, David Ortell Kingston, was released from prison after serving four years for committing incest with a 16-year-old niece.

You guys are freakin\' psychic. I finally rented the first season as I do not have HBO. Freakin\' Hilarious as close to Seinfeld as one can get these days. After reading the above article and before I read Dave\'s post that phrase popped into my head too. BTW the end of that "group episode is absolutely the best. His poor oblivious Uncle LOL.

yup, the group is definitely one of the best in the 1st season.. i\'m also a big fan of \'beloved aunt\' and \'ted and mary\'... actually, the whole season is darn near perfect..

Ted and Mary is great. His infatuation w/ Mary is spot on. I myself have been in that same situation ya know? I can not wait to see more of this show. I have been hearing abt it for awhile now but w/ no HBO..... What season are they @ now or has it been cancelled? Good show makes sense to cancel huh? Seems that\'s what happens to good shows

i hear ya leith.. the way he can\'t stop talking about mary is hilarious, but right on the money at the same time (it\'s funny cause it\'s true!)...

they\'re 4 episodes into season 4 now.. ben stiller was on the first 3, along with christine taylor (:drool:).. david schwimmer joins the cast next week, and mel brooks is on for the season as well.. i recommend finding a way to see it.. great show.

i actually didn\'t start watching until almost the end of last season, then i was hooked.

i\'d also like to take the opportunity to pimp Arrested Development. an absolute gem from FOX, also on sunday at 9:30... since you don\'t have hbo, it works out pretty good. i tivo both of them, and usually watch on monday...

DAMN!! I knew it. If I do not have HBO they put on a great show. It has always been like that. When I was a kid I had to go over my friend Paul\'s house to catch Fraggle Rock. When I do happen to get HBO no good shows on @ the time. NO HBO love 4 me

No Arrested is my new favorite show @ the moment. Speaking of incest, when will Micheal slip up and try to make it w/ his cousin?

 Yeah this past epi. was great. GM has such a guilty longing in his eyes in that scene.
Has it been 12 epi.\'s? Wow! Pretty sure I have seen \'em all just did not realise it was 12 so far. Hopefully FOX will leave well enough alone. If the 70\'s Show can keep going this better.

You know I totally did not realize that the reason T.Chong left was the legal problems until like 3 months ago. Yeah I enjoy the "circle" ( I love the poker one.  Eric: "Great Pot" pause  "I mean there must be like 3 or 4 dollars in there." ) myself which probably explains why i just figured it out.
