2. If Lafayette is offed, I may stop watching the show. He is by far the best character on the show. If anything, I hope he becomes a vampire to induce a twist on his bad-ass character. How is he more annoying compared to other characters on this show? Just wondering your reasons. I\'m a huge Lafayette fan. His scenes are fucking great.

i couldn\'t agree more....although he\'s probably my second favorite character next to eric
Agreed on all points.

Also, this show is doing exactly what HBO wants it to do; I am considering getting HBO after I move just to watch it.

well next week is the season finale, so you can hold off on getting hbo for a good while knowing how often their seasons come out.

I\'m just not a fan of the character.  His personality changes like the wind.  In a matter of seconds he\'ll go from being a short order cook, to a drug dealer, to a male prostitute, to a gangbanger to a clean cut guy who looks like he should be working for the government.  He\'s got too much going on for me to get into his character.  Let\'s stick to one personality so that people can get to know what he about rather than changing it from scene to scene.

His employment changes from being taxed or untaxed, his personality however does not. His values and personality are CONSTANT in every \'physical\' form. The only reason he appeared clean cut and in "government-like" attire was to have a shot at pwning the hypocritical politician who partakes in all of the leisure activities he speaks out against, all facilitated by Lafayette\'s personal business endeavors. He is a true entrepeneur, that\'s why, in your point of view, he "changes like the wind." I\'ll still argue that he does not. You know which side of every debate Lafayette stands. He\'s the man.

Eric is definitely the shit. And how big is that mother fucker? He dwarfs everyone.

Are you saying that\'s bullshit that the season is ending? I\'m not sure what you\'re questioning or pissed about.

So Eric is 6\'4" and has been voted sexiest man in Sweden 5 times. Wow. Oh and his mother\'s name is My.. My Skarsgard.

The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

One of my favorite scenes of the season involves Eric at Fangtasia when a woman asks if she can take his picture. He says yes, she does, and then Longshadow destroys the phone with which she took it. The woman looks befuddled and says, "I thought you said I could take your picture." Eric then replies, with his typical deadpan sarcastic superiority, "I said you take it; I did not say that you could keep it." Priceless.

it got off to a bit of a slow start, but i guess all shows do their first season.

Has anyone here read the books?
a pretty good way to end a season. i will either torrent or watch the next ones...

the only thing i don\'t like is jason joining the anti-vampire bloc. i like his character too much (lovable loser) to see him do something that foolish.

I thought the ending was good.
Def don\'t like Jason in the anti-vampire church, esp with the whole Bill and Sookie thing.  If Lafeyette is dead I\'m gonna be pissed, he\'s one of my favorite characters.
I had actually started to read the first book, but couldn\'t get too far into it before getting sucked into a different book.  I think the only reason it didn\'t pull me in though is cause I had already seen the show.

All that I can or will say is that I\'m pleased with the final scene and if they follow the books, then it is what it is.  Was that cryptic enough or do I need to put a spoiler on it?

She not in the books, so for them to add her, her character will probably play out next season.  My guess is that she will create a lot of tension between Bill and Sookie.
