NE Reptile Expo
« on: September 09, 2008, 09:05:53 pm »
For those interested, which is probably nobody except for maybe AlLexi (get it, Alli and Lexing... err, sorry. No. Bad.)

ANYHOW

The fall New England Reptile Expo will take place at the usual location at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester NH on Saturday, October 4th from 10am to 4pm.

The expo will include more than 100 vendor tables, with great buys on a huge selection of reptiles, invertebrates, supplies, herp food, and more!

Admission is $7/adults, and $3/kids 7-12.

The Radisson is located at 700 Elm St., just off of I-293 exit 5.  Detailed directions and other show information is available at http://www.ReptileExpo.com

Plenty of parking is available in the covered Radisson parking garage on Granite St.  If there is an event going on across the street at the Verizon Arena, there may be a sign indicating an "Event" parking rate of $10 or more.  Be sure to tell the attendant (if present) that you are attending the reptile expo in the hotel, and take a parking ticket.  Be sure to get a voucher from the Reptile Expo admission table, which will allow you to receive a 50% discount on the parking rate when you leave.  With the discount, the current rate would be $2 for up to 2 hours, and $3 for up to 4 hours.  Full day would be $4.50.

The prices do tend to be under the typical market price. It\'s NH too, so no sales tax. Look on the website, they should have a list of vendors there. It will give you some idea of what will be available. I think it\'s safe to say there will be a good supply of lights.

I went to one at the same place in the spring and thought all of the housing accessories (lights, screen tops, bowls, "furniture", substrate, etc.) were really reasonably priced. Some of the stuff was dirt cheap.

i usually go onto appleherp.com (or something like that) and they\'re $25 a piece for the largest (which i think is what i need)...i have to take the measurement of the light fixture again.

thanks for the info though
