it\'s kinda cute that numbers thinks he was the first person to pluralize rufus....

considering it was actually Gabe who did it, back in june of 2005, long before numbers knew who the breakfast was...

or even had pubes for that matter.

:D

I\'m still questioning why Dave knows when #\'s got pubes:chin:

i\'ve got pubes.

as the first person to ever listen to Hard Luck Harry, i\'m going to have to vote for the message on this one.

but seriously, i am severely dissapointed in Mooboo\'s lack of game time and might have to go with HLH this year. I mean, the argument will always be:
"my favorite breakfast song" vs "the song that has raged the hardest this year"

in this second category we see hard hitters like eppy 2, eppy 3, OE, Gladys, Sundance, etc really fall short in 2008. hard luck, queeb, roofies, and  several of the new tunes have  really been forces to be reckoned with.

in conclusion: HLH vs Buquebus

Sundance hasn\'t been played in 2008 so I don\'t think it can even qualify for the TOT.

i real disappointment this year for me has been eschers 2.  Used to always be a monster, seems like they do really basic things with it these days.

i think ALL songs in the breakfast catalogue (even from pb era), whether they were played or not, should be in the TOT. but I will be considering the value of the songs based on this past years\' shows....

and wait, is the TOT even happening this year?  I\'m pretty sure it used to happen in June and last year it was like August?

It has been in the summer in the past, but it really should be held in January 2009. Otherwise, the last half of the year gets left out.

On a related note, should those of us using the "how good the song has been this year" philosophy be including the part of the 2007 that came after the ToT?

Good point.

Although this year is different than most.. Naturally I\'m only taking versions with all four current members into account.

And yes, I agree January of \'09 would be proper.

Wouldn\'t it make more sense to have a tournament of shows from 2008 vs. songs?

Every year the songs are the same...and by that I mean there are only going to be 5 or 6 songs that have the potential to win...and one of them will win every year.

I believe the ToT was in October last year. So anything from last year\'s Freakout -> Present we should maybe take in to consideration.
