IRON MAIDEN 5/31/08 Irvine Meadows
« on: June 01, 2008, 02:09:24 pm »
Transylvania (Tape played during opening video montage)
Churchill\'s Speech
Aces High
Two Minutes To Midnight
Revelations
The Trooper
Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Powerslave
Wasted Years
Number of the Beast
Heaven Can Wait
Run to the hills
Can I Play With Madness
Fear of the Dark
Iron Maiden
E:
Moonchild
The Clairvoyant
Hallowed Be Thy Name

HOLY FUCK!!!!!!!! I have seen Maiden on every tour since 1982 except the 2 w/ Blaze and I have to tell you this was the second best I have ever heard them and honestly the best is probably just that due to nostalgia. They were that good!

Hearing these songs I grew up on now as an adult brought so much new meaning to them it was ridiculous. In the middle of Wasted Years I found myself in tears as I realized yes I am living in my Golden Years and Life is fucking awesome!!!!!!!!

2 Minutes to Midnight is more relevant now than it has ever been and to hear Ancient Mariner again 23 years later and have it still give me goosebumps says alot about this band\'s songs.

Brought the Eddie mummy back had the Cyborg Eddie and the playing was top notch as usual with these guys!
Steve Harris had Irvine Meadows bumping with Bass Leads all over.

Bruce was in good voice and had plenty of energy to fuck w/ Security.

Dave and Adrian were spot on and Jannick just kicks ass.

Nicko was inset w/his drums but man that guy can wail on the skins!

It was so awesome to look around and see people of all ages rocking the fuck out to Iron Maiden. This band still brings it like it\'s 1980!

Not many stops left in the U.S. but MSG is coming and if you like Metal at all you had better get your ass there or you will regret it.

Bruce has always been an arrogant prick and a nancy about his voice so I can see him saying something stupid like that. However he was having a time w/security last night and it was hilarious.
It was fucking crazy in there. It was the second sold out night in a row in one of their favorite venues so they brought it hard. The crowd was just as nuts. 2 bonfires on the lawn with people jumping over the flames was unbelievable.
