With some more shows to listen to I have revised my list a bit.

1. The Sound- Still my favorite
2. Reel Time- Even with the UM vibe this song is freakin\' STRONG.! The Indy version just vaulted it up to #2.
3. World Needs Us- Getting better and better.
4. The Message- I just love to boogie to this one.
5. Synergy- Some SER insane freakin\' jams come out of this one.
6. Rush- I am still not sold but liking it more and more
7. Living Daylights- Still last but no longer sucks. The version from NJ seems slowed down from previous versions and it worked better for me but still a rather boring song for a band like this.

So again my love for lyrics is coming through strong.

1 - Living Daylights (it\'s nice to see a heavy original that doesn\'t need to be jammed out for 20 minutes - ala, The Chase)
2 - The Sound
3 - Reel Time
4 - Rush (this would be higher, but the vocals still need some tweaking)
5 - World Needs Us
6 - Synergy (still don\'t know what to make of this)
7 - The Message
The best music is essentially there to provide you something to face the world with - Bruce Springsteen

i think after listening to rush a few different times, i think playing it inverted would be pretty sick, that slowed down istrumental part before the jam (played normally) would be a cool way to end a jam
break it down, simplify

Synergy - this song has it all
The World Needs Us - finally moving closer to its potential
Living Daylights - thats right motherfucker
Reel Time - expand on the last part and it\'ll be a great mid-set song (especially apart of a scheme sandwich)
Rush - drop some lyrics or invert it
The Sound - good song but i don\'t expect them to take this song in any other direction than its already been played
The Message - liked it when it debuted but after seeing it a couple more times I think it just disrupts a setlist. it would fit well before a raging first set closer or possibly after a more mellow first set opener, but thats about it. maybe first of two encore songs would work too.
Smell my mule.

1-synergy
2-rush
3-world needs us
4-the sound
5-reel time
6-LD
7-The Message

^that was my original several weeks ago

Revised:
1. Rush - I love everything about this song...catchy/corky singing, sweet composed section, blazing jam
2. The Sound - This song has gotten so much better since they debuted it on so many fronts, especially the singing and variety in the jam segment.  awesome song, close 2nd to rush.
3. Synergy - Dropped a little bit on my list.  Most parts in this song i love, and the composed section is very impressive, but theres a few sections that throw off the flow of the tune in my opinion.  overall its a monster though.
4 . Tied - Reel Time and World Needs Us - I have to tie these 2 becuase I simply cant pick a winner over the other.  I still have pretty big issues with the vocals in WNU, but the jams haev gotten so sick that it offsets it.  The song actually goes from an "80\'s rock ballad" to a wild tecnho/OE\'esque/synth dance party, amazing!  I really like the verses of Reel Time, everything about them (singing, DRUMS!, bass lines, guitar riff, etc), but Im not a huge fan of the chorus and I wish they would try to jam this more and see how it sounds.

~~Big Gap~~

5. The Message - I still really dislike this song, and it hasnt moved up at all in my opinion of it, but at least its better than...
6. Living Daylights - This song is horrible.  Its not catchy, it makes me want to cover my ears, and tims singing on it is so awful.  Sorry Chip.

Reel Time
Synergy
World Needs Us
Rush
The Sound

I\'m really liking the new lyrics especially. They\'re all great for jams (because these guys can jam with ANYTHING) and I rank with dance-ability :)

on living daylights:

[-]This song straight sucks upon listening to the first 2 played. I kept waiting for it to get better and it just does not.[/-] no longer sucks. The version from NJ seems slowed down from previous versions and it worked better for me but still a rather boring song for a band like this.

Finally a new throat-kicker along the lines of Merge, WPOAC.

LD is a throat kicker for sure. the weak and unable to hang just get kicked to the floor or out of the room all together!
