joc, I take back my previous statement. You and Al both need to get them and watch the whole show from the beginning.

Then watch the prisoner series from the 60\'s and we can discuss Americas obsession with stealing plot concepts from canceled British shows.

seriously, joc and al, you will be caught up in no time.  again let me reiterate my experience.

i decided to start at the beginning as well.  it took me only 23 days to watch 77 episodes of lost.  it has changed my life.

i dont think the time warping is constant, hence the need to leave the island on the same path you came in on.  it\'s got to be some sort of electromagnetic warping of spacetime, but it doesn\'t seem to be uniform.  that said, if you left the island via the exact same path you came in on, the time warping would cancel itself out.  however, if you leave on a different path, it wouldn\'t quite cancel out and you\'d experience what desmond experienced.  i dunno, i\'m speculating...

at this point, i\'m waiting for some sort of curveball for it to NOT be michael in the coffin and/or ben\'s guy on the boat. but i don\'t think we\'re gonna get that curveball.

So now Ben is a good guy protecting the island from the bad guys? Penny\'s dad is probably the guy sayid was looking for in that other ep. Sayid now works for Ben to protect the island? Is Ben playing double as always?

unexpected mindfuck. oh those crazy lost writers!

so the way i saw that was sun\'s was a flashforward, and jin\'s was a flashback. but is jin really dead? was he or was he not one of the oceanic six? that isn\'t spelled out for us, and the date on his tombstone was 09/22/2004 - the date of the crash. maybe he\'s still on the island? who the fuck knows?!

and christ, zoe bell finally gets screentime after her name being in the opening credits all season, and off she goes...

interesting that "kevin johnson\'s" note said not to trust the captain, but the captain was pretty revealing, at least as far as des is concerned.

kinda glad the michael thing was quick and painless in this episode though. that "reveal" really didn\'t have much (any) air left in it.

next week\'s the last one before the break...

i am assuming jin was the one in the coffin. he\'s gotta really be dead... sun was pretty sincere when she and hurley went to the grave.

the big news is kevin johnson. this is how people are/aren\'t going to be getting off the island.
i think it\'s turning back on me / i\'m down on the upside

that makes no sense though.. that funeral home was in a ghetto neighborhood, and why would no one go to Jin\'s service?

i agree Dave, definately NOT Jin in the coffin.  I\'m not convinced he is really dead though either, based on the date on the gravestone.

Every single week this show just blows me away.  Once its all said and done, I think this has the chance to be the BEST SHOW IN THE HISTORY OF TELEVISION!

P.S.  i think I\'m way too emotionally invested in these characters...

yes kevin\'s note said not to trust the captain, but is "kevin" ben\'s man on the boat?  if that\'s the case, then ben could be filling his head with all sorts of crazy shit.  ben does NOT want these people on the island.  it\'s hard to tell who the good guys are...

I think jin was a flash forward. There are too many people for the oceanic 6 if you count him, but what if he is working for ben like sayid is? Then he wouldn\'t be counted because he wouldn\'t be one of the group to go out, he would have snuck off with ben. Maybe not. Still though I think it\'s a flash forward.  That looked like sun in the bed and by delivering the panda with the impression of it being simply a business negotiation gift he was able to get in and see sun again, and see the child, while still staying off of everyone\'s radar that he is alive.

Plus there are just too many things going on with someone stealing the panda and running over the phone with the motorcycles, and then having to pay more than double for the second panda...

He was VERY insistent that he needed a panda, so maybe that was a signal of some kind for sun that he was alive and ok. Also, when he tied the ribbon around the bear, it was a blue ribbon symbolizing boys, not girls and this was a girl. Sure the ribbon was randomly picked up at the last moment but this show puts too much detail in for that kind of a slip. Should have been pink. It also shows a difference between this and the first panda in case the other one is given as well.

OK, so my theory is this: sun had to get off the island in order to live/save the baby. If it came down to it and only a few were able to go, Jin gave up his rescue spot so his wife and unborn child could go and hence live. Later, he gets off the island, maybe with ben but no one knows he is alive. Empty grave (or the body off of the plane underwater), he tells sun if he can get off the island he will get her a panda for the baby when it\'s born as a gift from one of her fathers business deals, much like how they gave the dog back in season 1 or 2.

no that wasn\'t sun in the bed there.  totally different hospital room.  sun\'s hospital room had the bed on the right if you\'re looking from the door, and this woman\'s bed was on the left.  plus he was delivering the panda to someone that sun\'s father wants to work with.  AND when he left he told the receptionist that he\'d only been married two months.

paul, you pretty much spelled out every reason why Jin\'s was a flashBACK. it\'s pretty much spelled out in black and white.

- asshole Jin of old
- still working for sun\'s father
- big ass OLD nokia cell phone
- it\'s a boy - he asked the guard at the door what it was. he said boy. Jin got the blue ribbon.
- only married 2 months
- year of the dragon (2000)
- worried more about buying a stuffed animal than his wife having complications while in labor? come on.

Jin\'s flashback last night served no other purpose than to fuck with the viewer.

now, as i said in my post last night, i\'m not sold on Jin being one of the six for sure. i think he could still be on the island. even though he said "wherever Sun goes, I go", i think his conversation with Bernard about being married to Rose but separated from her "because" had deeper meaning to it. that\'s why i think Jin is still on the island. also, because Hurley said "should we, like, go see him?". they went to the staged grave to "visit" with Jin.. i mean, where else would they go to "talk" to him?

but again, if he is still on the island, who is #6? we\'ve got jack, kate, hurley, sayid, sun, ??. i\'m guessing michael, but who knows? we still only have 5 confirmed.
