hope to hear from Leith and which show was better.
Hopefully his man crush on TLG\'s Trevor Garrod does not stand in the way of a non-biased comparison
It\'ll be interesting none the less to see what Leith has to say. The keys are his friends and now he has a friend in the Breakfast, again.
I refuse to compare. "There is no better only different" to quote one Tim Palmieri.
But really this show was the best Breakfast show I have heard in person or disc in at least 2 years. It is incredible the difference in this band with the addition of Matt. I told my best friend Kevin who just does not get The Breakfast he will now. It is going to be a different ride from here on. No Offense to Jordan whatsoever but the potential of this band can now be realized to it\'s fullest extent. Matt is just that good. Tim is going to have to actually step up to keep up with this guy once he figures out the rest of the catalog. Ser Matt can run circles around many folk I suspect and is holding back until he is more comfortable. Oh and if this is his holding back BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Matt brings a stage presence that the other guys have no choice but to drink it in and go with it. I have not seen Ron as animated as he was and Tim playing his guitar upside down AND then behind his back is a direct reflection of Matt\'s energy. I talked with Matt before the show and welcomed him. After the show I again began to get all up in his jock and could not shut up about how awesome it was that he was in the band. He mentioned that he really liked my energy in the front row and I told him it was all his fault as he just got me going and going. We locked in a few times during the show and drove each other to further madness. It is this type of interaction with fans that make folk take notice. Tim has always been cognizant of the crowd and has been known to interact through a whole show but I have never seen it at the level that Matt brings it to.
This band will make people take notice they will have no choice. Any Breakfast detractors will be singing a new tune very soon. I am soooooooooooooooooo happy to have that feeling again of "How the hell can I get to the next Breakfast show."
Now that that is out of the way (a more detailed review is forthcoming in the review section), TLG absolutely kicked ass. The big difference in the shows was the crowd. The energy at The Breakfast show was all from the stage with a few front row ragers.
TLG was sold out and the place was on fire. From the front to the back dancing fools and the sing alongs were noticeable. Cute chicks getting down and dancing like its no one\'s business. I will not say one was better than the other but for many of you on here the crowd makes a show for you and if you liked both bands as I do you would most likely say TLG was the better show. Really.
