Not sure what is gonna transpire. Regardless, we ain\'t gonna forget the gravy.

Yes, Adrian.

Puppetry right out of the gates was insane!!!!! Def. the highlight of the night for me. Very fun show! So glad we chose to trek up for it. Too bad more islanders didn\'t chose to finish off the run!
But...I would have to give my props to the Wheelhouse Tavern show as being the winner of the top show of the run. Last night\'s show was VERY close musically speaking, but when  you factor in all the other elements of a show...Wheelhouse...hands down!!

We were talking about Night Of The Thumpasaurus Peoples on the way to Albany and when we got there Mandler asked Tim about it. We were pretty sure it had never been done as a three piece and were basically begging for it. We totally thought we would be sooooory chipped, but when they busted out the tease we were loving it and totally surprised. Hopefully it will be resurrected fully some time soon!

Tough to say which was better, does there have to be a winner?  I still need to hear the 2 Block Island shows, a few people told me that The Wheel House was better than the both of them, who knows I wasn\'t there.  If I had to pick which was better between the last of RI and Albany, maybe as far as set lists and segues go I might give the Wheel House a slight edge, but as far as pure ferocity and playing how I hear them in my head whenever anyone mentions them, (someone has to know what I mean) the winner is the Red Square.  Puppetry was absolutely filthy!  I think the only thing that coulda topped it would be if they coulda somehow combined the Attraction>Spunk and the jam after the 1st verse till the end of No Quarter into one song.  The second set was HUGE and the Grand Scheme was nasty as usual, if I remember right I think it completely ended before Superfly began, but who cares, I\'m probably wrong.  Everything that was played was played HARD as hell, Thumpasaurus tease was nice, no comment on Shakedown though, and the well placed Intension was pure fire.  Overall really good show, totally worth the drive and exhaustion from going to Narragansett, back home to work Saturday, and then driving back to Albany.  If I didn\'t love driving so much I would be very upset by now.  By the way, the Yankees just lost again.  11-5.  Holy fuck do they suck!  Good day to you all.

Wow...let me be one of the first to say this show was FUCKING AWESOME! Puppetry and the jam that preceeded it were very raw. GBFBITS was ripping from head to toe, hadn\'t caught that tune in a while and it was a nice treat. Attraction to Shade was also a very strong version. Highlight of the set for me I\'d have to say was No Quarter. Adrian sounded amazing on vocals and the boys absolutely killed it in the intro to the song. They had been playing a very Zeppelin-esque jam in the end of >Spunk and my buddy and I thought they were definitely going into "Achilles Last Stand". Very raw set, I was delighted when Tim mentions "We\'re going to take a set break". I look at my watch, Holy shit its like 1:40, time for a set break?!?! NIIICE!

Although I figured the show was going to be 2 sets to start with I figured maybe they\'d cut short to 1 set due to the 2 opening bands and not starting until after 12. I was very happy to find out that this was not the case and the Breakfast absolutely destroyed these 2 sets.

The Grand Scheme of Things was absolutely MURDERED by an extended drum solo by Adrian that absolutely tore the building apart. At the beginning of the song people were just sorta chilling spread out throughout the floor but by the end of Adrians solo a large tight semi-circle had formed around the pulsating drums pounded through the earth. I have never in my life, ever, heard a drum solo like this. Wow. I am soooo glad there was a taper there for this!

Things got funkyier than a motherfucker when the >Superfly Phaddy Fat dropped in. The Superfly also had lyrics "The Grand Scheme of Things" and "Shakedown Street" mentioned in the song. There was about 4 of us in the whole place that heard that 10 sec riff of "Thumpasaurus People\'s", totally thought they were about to go into the song when that shit got funky as fuck. The last time I had been to see the Breakfast in Albany was 8/5/04 when they busted out this set::

"wake up in a coma, dig, drunk monk bar, no glove, cinnamon girl, gravity, vera st., the chase, what the funk>phaddy boom baddy, drum intro>score,
night of the thumpasaurus>give up the funk(tease), inner glimpse, taboo or not taboot
encore: superfly phaddy fat, karn evil 9"

Although they didn\'t play much of the P Funk tune it was a nice tribute. During this funk jam I also heard Tim singing the lyrics of "Moma Dance", although not in the mic, he walked over to Ronnie as if to ask if he wanted to play it (or atleast thats what it looked like), Spears shook his head no.

The "jam" section between this and Shakedown was really groovy. Some incredible funky interplay going on here. Spears was on FIRE! Laying down some of incredible lines. Shakedown Street was a nice treat (definitely didn\'t expect it). The peak of the funk climaxed in the jam that came out of Shakedown. I cannot even begin to explain how good this was (just wait for the recording).

It was funny because we had parked just up the street towards the Pepsi (meh) Arena , my buddy and I had gone to see Phish there on 12/1/03, the shakedown before the show was RIGHT behind where the Red Square is. That whole huge parking lot. We were commenting on our walk to the show about what a mob scene it was. Interesting to be back there to see a completely empty parking lot.

The band came to a shredding conclusion with Intension. Tim playing slide with one of his pedals, doing some sick finger tapping and playing his guitar with his feet. Some ridiculously awesome antics. Adrian throws the cymbal woooo. Rockstars.

Overall incredible show from the Breakfast. Definitely top 5 for me personally.

it was truly a masterful performane in parts.  Tim was really playing guitar last night.  He stuck mainly with the Fender, and also played keys quite a bit.  The Shaledown featured a falsetto backing vocal (just gotta poke around) by Ron that may have been a bit "tongue in cheek".  Adrian sang N Quarter about as good as might be expected if you\'re not Robert Plant; seriously, when they started it, I wondered who would sing, He or Tim, and it was Adrian.I would say this is the best I have heard them playing together, as an "ensemble" in a while.  Maybe it was due to the fact this was night 4 of a 4 night run, band gelling and all that.  Even though I am sure they were tired, they pulled it out , took the hammer and nails out and banged em right in to our heads last night.  The show didn\'t end until around 3 AM (starting at Midnight) thanks in part due to Albany\'s rather generous bar opening hours.

I can\'t wait to hear that. I\'ve been wanting that segway for a while and I even made it myself and put it in the begining of the 1000th dvd while all the text was going by. Now they just need to finish my wich out:

the show was redonkulous.... great, great time. The guys sounded awesome

And now a question. Yestersay, Good4Garry and I ventured to a Dunkin Donuts. There, we noticed that on the "No smoking" sign, there is braille of "No smoking" on the bottom of the sign. We were trying to wrap our heads around why they have this on the sign, and the circumstances that would lead a blind person to enter a dunkin donuts with the intention of getting some coffee and smoking, but then walking around aimlessly trying to find the braille on the "no smoking" sign, finding the braille, then thus not lighting up. We just simply couldn\'t figure it out. In the end, we came up with 3 conclusions. 1. We were going to try to figure out their reasoning behind this for the rest of the day (we were unsuccessful). 2. We decided that "Dunkin Donuts\' \'No Smoking\' signs have \'No Smoking\' in braille on the sign, why is this?" must be in the next "Food for Thought" and 3. We were "paying attention to the Psygn."

Thanks to ChrisF for the setlist!

Waking up on d-Dubs\' couch to the sound of a fire alarm going off in the apartment because the Breakfast was burning seemed to have been a reality and not just a dream. After the Wheel House show (IMHO, was the best of the weekend), I spoke to Animal who convinced me to make the trek up to Albany and that I would not be sorry to miss it. I left RI around 2 and checked into Hotel TKA around 4pm. By 9pm we were heading to Albany, at 11 we were there. Sometime around 5, we looked for a sunset and around 1pm this afternoon I checked out. The craziness in the trek was what I felt in Albany. The Puppetry was just the fire built up from the past 3 nights carrying over. Absolutely flooring version. TGSOT was nice to hear but the gem in the 2nd set for myself was the Superfly Phaddy Fat where at times time substituted "The Grand Scheme of Things" and "A New Beginning" for lyrics and it was nice to get the Thumpasaurus tease. I don\'t really care for covers in a show but this crowd needed it. The Intention was the arena rocker it usually is. Would love to take a second listen before ranking the other 3 shows for the weekend. Eat a d. That is all.
Love many, trust few and don\'t be late.
