I emailed everyone on the contact page....hopefully someone can get the stage changed....it will be for the best.

Steffmo may be a good contact person as well.

For sure, he might be the right person to contact.

I\'m all for getting the band the best stage/room available at the festival, but do you really believe the promoters/organizers are flexible enough to entertain suggestions?  If the fest. was diligent enough to send a response email to Bryank, I\'ll bet they will at least be willing to address the reported sound difficulties of the Saloon.

I just got a reply from bands@10klf.com.  Here is what they had to say...

There are local ordinances about noise after 2:00am – so we are forced to go inside. We also extended the band set times from last year – so there are fewer Barn and Field Stage slots. Thanks for the input and have a great day.

Here was my reply...
Ok, at least tell me that you have done something to improve the sound quality in the Saloon.  Also, have you taken into consideration that TB wont even fit on the tiny stage in the Saloon?  Why not move them back to 12-1:30 on the field stage?

Lets hope they can move them back in order to get them on a better stage.  STS9 is playing on the Barn stage at 12-1:30 and the 2 stages face away from each other so the only time you can hear the other stage is when the band you are watching ends a song.  I think you should all email bands@10klf.com with this suggestion of simply moving TB back to 12-1:30 or 2.

BK- You are definitely on the right track. Good work there.

I second that motion of emailing 10k lakes and trying to get a better spot. It\'s not like they know us. At least it makes it sound like there is an overwhelming interest in the band.

Is this the room they will be playing in?

Stage doesn\'t look too small. About how many heads fit in there? IMO, if the place holds a bunch of heads, this is a decent spot for them. They do well with late night sets, as long as they DO start at the scheduled time. There are no other bands playing the same time slot. First night of the festival...people will be down to rage!!! Especially after falling asleep at STS9!! If they were pulling large numbers at venues across the nation, I\'m sure they would have gotten an earlier, outside slot. At least they are there representing!!!

Just my two Lincolns worth.

That is the exact stage that they will be playing.  I would be more concerned about the sound quality though than how much room there is there.  It is kind of a 2 part bar/room.  Both rooms are open to the stage area.  I would say there is about 50\' between the stage and SB.  It could probably hold 100 comfortably.  I\'m sure it will be crazy in there though.  First night of 10klf has been crazy the last 2 years.  All I can say is I\'m glad I dont have to sit through a late night Particle show friday night.  If they end up iat the Field stage at 12:30 I would say that STS9 will lose most of their crowd to TB.  I guess we\'ll see what happens.

I haent received a response from 10klf yet about them getting the Field stage.  Maybe Tim will contact them to see if they can get an earlier time.  Or maybe they are already in contact with Tim about the change;).

I look at it this way. If it is roughly 100 people who have never heard them before and they are all impressed, then the entire festival will know about the Breakfast.

would they have a slot available to get them on a different stage on Saturday?  Something that they should consider.

I am as tuned out as most of all of you how the Breakfast Business side is handled. That is for the other people to handle. I hope that whatever happens they will indeed own face.

What makes you think they won\'t own face anyway? :)
