here\'s the report from over here...
i got my emi 6|2 a couple weeks ago, but hadn\'t had a chance to even plug it in, let alone test it out... so this was totally a trial run for me...
i got to work on friday, and realized that i didn\'t have any multitrack software installed on my computer! not good! so i went around looking for some, and all i could come up with was Cakewalk Sonar. guess what? not compatible with the 6|2...
luckily i had my VX Pocket with me, just in case something like this happened. the matrix wouldn\'t have really been feasible anyways, as the board was located right next to the stage. i went with a straight board patch.
the board mix wasn\'t bad, though the vocals were a little hot at times. the only flaw is that josh (not kroop) was asleep at the wheel at the beginning of the set and at the beginning of the encore, and had my signal turned off. it was weird though - i did get a very faint signal, so when editing, i raised the volume of those sections to get it closer to the real recording. doesn\'t sound the same, but none of the music is missing. i\'d say it was about 30-45 seconds total, both of them combined. not bad.
i\'m gonna put this one out there. it\'ll be up for BT download later in the week. mike, i\'d like to get yours out there as well, since board/aud is like apples and oranges, and some people would prefer one over the other. i\'d like to have both of them in the archive as well.
