TV on the Radio- Dear Science
« on: December 31, 2008, 12:02:11 am »
So I made my weekly shuffle down to my mailbox today and found my complimentry copy of "Spin".  On the cover they declare TV on the Radio\'s Dear Science Album of the Year. Huh. Never listened to it. Limewire it is.

I\'ve been listening to this all night. It sounds like a Prince album, which is ok by me, but it\'s not even the best Prince knock off I\'ve heard (Love Below anyone?)  It\'s supposed to appeal to funk fans and indie rock snobs. I\'m a little of both, and yet I\'m underwhelmed.

Am I missing something here? Or was 2008 a shit year for music?

experienced the loss and pain I have experienced,

There were a couple cool things that came out, but nothing to get too excited about. I\'m liking what I hear from a group called "School of the Seven Bells" although I could see it driving some people on here insane.
