Consider this. Your a young woman with 2 kids and husband. As a group you are just making ends meet. Husband decides to take off and leave you with the kids. So now you are single mom 2 kids, working a hand to mouth existence. Would you not like some help to get out of that situation ? perhaps your family is worse off and cannot help out or you dont have any family.
Perhaps housing assistance or job placement. Perhaps daycare so you can earn more money etc etc etc. I have problems with my taxes going to help people instead of blowing them the fuck up.
8 Billion Dollars a month is what we are spending on Iraq right now. We could almost eliminate Hunger in this country with the smallest percentage of that money or illiteracy, homelessness, maybe rebuild NOLA
