I: The Chase, Cut Me Some Slack, Doughboy, Inner Glimpse, Wake Up In A Coma > Great Big Fiery Ball In The Sky > Son Of Simpleton, May Fly Disarray, No Regret, Rufus > Taboo Or Not Taboot, Jumpin\' Jack Flash

E: Buquebus > Phaddy Boom Baddy

This had the makings of a huge show, but was held in check by the fact that it was in the worst room the band has ever played.  The guys played a smokin\' set and everyone there was way into it and gettin\' real loud at the end of each song.  The new tunes (esp. Inner Glimpse and Doughboy) are really hitting on all cylinders these days.  This show had a chance at being Baker Quad/Camp Creek level, based on the crowd energy.  Here\'s the deal with the room though: it\'s a summer camp arts and crafts shack.  It\'s shaped like a Tetris T, with the band in the alcove, and the PA and a pole right in front of them!  It is impossible to see the band.  The room is lit by white flourescent crack lights.  It only fits 90-100 people.  The sound was deafening and unbalanced, so loud that I couldn\'t stay inside (not that there was anything to look at except some speakers anyways.)  There were people gathered around outside the building with no hope of getting in.  Some people stayed outside and grooved, others saw the crowd and moved on.  It was kinda weird seeing the people outside facing the band and dancing, but looking only at the outside of a building.  Outside the building was a huge open area with a bonfire that had as many people as the show.  If they had played here (or on a stage for that matter) the show woulda been huge.  Note to festival programmers: summer camp arts and crafts shacks are NOT music venues!  At least they played well and the people received the show very positively.  Next year on a stage!

guys, please feel free to use the review section when making posts about a show also! Dave and me have pretty much filled it with everything we have, but as the new reviews get written (such as this), you can enter them yourselves.

I\'m not saying whats a review and whats people just talking about a show, but if you write something and feel it is review worthy (There are some pretty short and pretty long ones in there), please feel free.

Thanks

As much I agree with wolfman in regards to the sound in the cabins the setup was different this year than it was last year. i will say that the cabin was the ideal situation for the breakfast at THIS festival. Last year they Headlined the only NON- Strange(strangefolk)Creek(max creek) night this year there was no third night and I would rather they play in the cabin versus the main stage in the afternoon. they played in the afternoon at Wormtown last aug. and althought the set was great there is something about playing at night to the party like atmosphere that just doesn\'t translate well in the daylight hours (just my .02). I had soooo much fun at the festival and I was definitely not disappointed by the set. I was onsite fri - monday and all I wanted was my breakfast. My only thought was that Wormtown needs to have people taking care of the band. If it wasn\'t for Bigmamablueberry running back to our campsite the guys wouldn\'t have had any water. I mean its f-ing water. It shouldn\'t take a fan going out of their way to get the the boys hydrated but that was the only bad thing I can really say about the weekend. look forward to seeing all of you at vibes or sooner. if any of you gonna be at bonnaroo look for us in the taping section

Hmmm...this is interesting.  Playing a stage with all the people you can get but in the daytime vs. playing late night but in a shack with shitty sound that can only fit 100 people.  This could go either way.  There\'s definitely a lower ceiling on energy potential for a day show.  However, having 1,000 people instead of 100 makes up for it in my mind.  400 for day vs. 100 for night would not make up for it, but 1,000 for day does.  When we arrived, the Reverend Tor Band was playing the stage during their 5:45-7:00 set, and had 800-1000 people grooving, and they are...well...let\'s just say they\'re not as good as The Breakfast.  The crowd in the shack for TB was higher energy per person, but a lot of passersby saw the impossibility of getting in and just walked over to the bonfire and spaced out to handdrums.  I\'ll take the stage and the exposure, but there\'s no right or wrong.  If you want to quantify it, stage is 800 people at energy level 5, that\'s a 4,000 energy level.  Shack is 100 people at energy level 9, that\'s a 900 energy level.  Again, I take the stage.  If the stage energy starts to dip below 4 then it might not be worth it no matter how many heads are there, but that wouldn\'t happen from 5:45-7, it\'s late enough.
