500 pounds is a very small elephant.  According to the San Diego Zoo\'s Website, an adult male elephant is about 15,000 pounds and a female is 8,000 pounds.  Newborns are up to 350 pounds, so a 500 pound elephant is an infant.  Of course, someone would have to be pretty stoned to not notice a live elephant in the room of any size, never mind a pink elephant.  But one could make the case that a 500 pound elephant is only 1/30th as significant as a 15,000 pound elephant and therefore not that big a deal.  Benching Overexposure would be a bigger deal than 500 pounds... I\'d give it a 12,000 out of 15,000 on the Pachyderm Problem Proportion Poundage Percentile.  I think OE will be back pretty soon though.

In Borneo they have pygmy elephants.

Even they are upset about the idea of the death of OE.

If I remember correctly either leith or alz, pretty sure it was leith, sent me a pm (when I was mourning Ron\'s departure in December) saying that the replacement is "Ron on steroids" and asked what my feeling would be with this question (after my vote for OE in the TOT): "What if I told you he already knows how to play Over Exposure?"

Seemed rhetorical and I assumed that meant "The new bassist already knows how to play Over Exposure."

If this tune is shelved, I will feel mislead like an American Airlines passenger and, strangely enough, move on. I hope this isn\'t the case though.

I apologize for the call-out in advance. I wish I didn\'t delete that message.

The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash
