Tim\'s last Wednesday @ Richter\'s = SER

Let\'s make this one a night to remember...

What is the reason for the Wednesday night transition to BAR?  Better pay at BAR or Richter\'s no longer wants to host the PME?
Title: Richter\'s; New Haven, CT
Post by: Stephengencs on May 05, 2007, 04:48:34 pm
The main reason is that Tim has been overexerting his voice between solo and breakfast shows.  This transition allows him to rest on sun - tues (with the exception of the 1st Tues of each month).  Also, Richters was his lowest guaranteed paying venue, hence the cover.  So though the financial benifit was another reason for the move.

Yes it is.  And it is quite sad.....

However.....all things must pass, and honestly its about time for the Richters era to come to an end.  2 years and 5 months is nothing to shake a stick at either.....

It was never about the place anyway, its about the day, or night i should say.....Wednesday night....

I guess this puts the old "Richters is the best Timmy Tour Venue ever" argument...
::sigh::..... kids these days   ::shakes head::

I am done arguing over which venue is better or worse to see tim play solo acoustic.....
that is so 2005.....Its all about money kid, so if money makes BAR better than Richters, so be it.....I am tired of this argument.....

I don\'t get it. How does not playing Richter\'s, and playing BAR instead allow him to rest his voice?

Nevermind now i get it, he wont be playing BAR on Mondays anymore  just Wednesdays, right?

So I guess I\'m an asshole, but I have been swayed to the dark side by weird al in waterbury the same night, not to mention one of the girls I work with is going to be dressed up as a cheerleader dancing on stage with him during \'smells like nirvanna\'.

Still, he goes on at 8 and I have to drive my friend back to hamden after, so we might just b-line it for a little set 3 action.

man, thursday is going to HURT.

ha.....I was listening to an A-Z 80\'s weekend on some radio station this weekend......They were at the K\'s when I heard The Police\'s King Of Pain, but then they followed it up with Weird Al\'s King Of Suade (my favorite Weird Al tune ever).....definitely a great moment...

Have fun at the show and hope to see you at Richters at some point in the evening.....

I haven\'t experienced a Thursday that hasnt hurt in all of the years that Timmy Tour has been in existance......suck it up nancyboy!

First off Holly, that comment is completely unncessary.....Maybe back in the day on the Trish The Dish Appreciation Thread, it would be warranted, but unprovoked and unmentioned, why did you have to drag that nonsense into the final Richters thread?

Trish is the reason we were allowed to take that place over every Wednesday for 2 years and 5 months.......

Holly, dont get hostile because you are intimidated and/or threatened by the fact that Trish is an attractive, successful, hard working, hard partying, tell it like it is, woman who is confident with who she is and where she stands in the world.  I am sure that one day, when you reach your sexual peek, you will be 30-"cough"-something and flaunting your sexuality in social situations.....

the closest thing to a setlist we have....maybe some people can help fill in some blanks....lets not try to figure out order, just add to this list songs that you remember from last night.....i bet if we try hard enough we can get most of it....

hooooly shiiiit.  i don\'t know, guys i think the "dumb party whore, oh my gawd everybody, look at me" thing has run it\'s course.  dancing on the table is for, well....i\'m just gonna quit while I\'m ahead, don\'t know any of them personally and i bet if I did I\'d have to be like everyone else and say things like, "well she\'s just like, having a good time."  puh-lease ladies, stop it.

i definitely had her dancing on the table in the corner of my eye.......that thing wobbles at least 10 degrees if not more.  If the few coasters stuffed under one of the legs shifted, it would have gotten ugly.......there is an obvious imbalance going on up there....

Holly, dont get hostile because you are intimidated and/or threatened by the fact that Trish is an attractive, successful, hard working, hard partying, tell it like it is, woman who is confident with who she is and where she stands in the world.  I am sure that one day, when you reach your sexual peek, you will be 30-"cough"-something and flaunting your sexuality in social situations.....
this doesn\'t need to drag on any further, but for the record, i am not intimidated by a 30 something year old bartender with an attitude. i have just never appreciated trish\'s demeanor towards girls at richter\'s, etc. that is all.

there was a "with a little help from my friends" somewhere.
really wish i wrote down the songs last night. i don\'t remember any sort of order, etc.

You brainless losers should be ashamed that it took 5 of you to give all of us a spotty setlist. Amatuer at best. What happened to the good old days when a setlist was taken with a sharpie and a napkin? I\'m insulted that you attempted to piece this hogwash of a setlist together and pass it off on people. You should feel embarrassed and you 5 should apologize to all of us for this.

I had to wave my setlist keeping days bye bye once I started working the door.......

and instead of creating new dance moves you could have been documenting the night for us with your spacepen....oh thats right.....your spacepen is lost.......if you find it, keep an eye out for your mind, because they are probably both in the same place.

First off I was dancing with the world and it was therapeutic.

Second, you could have made up a setlist no one would know.

Third, I never took a TT setlist, why would I start now. Wednesday was the first time I went to TT for music in the last 2 years.

Fourth, Speak ill of my lost spacepen and I will moonbrah you, brah

Fifth and final, my mind has a mind of its own.
