Was it just TPalms teasing DS or was it a whole band tease?  I have been asking for a Dark Star for years.

Just listened to it. I would say it was a tease and not teases. Very short and just Tim.

I don\'t waste the space on my HD for this band any more true but LMA streams shows w/ it\'s own player. DUH!

Never said I did not like them, just not as much. So seeing as the 3 still play pretty good music and they do have moments that are truly unique and mind blowing, it behooves me to @ least check out what they play. DUH!

wow i\'m so glad they played phish.  sersiously, it gets boring coming and seeing them play their own tunes.  after like sixty some odd shows, i\'ve gotten pretty sick of breakfast songs and have just been waiting for the day when they\'d play some phish.  it\'s not like the breakfast have good songs.  i definitely keep coming so i can hear some phish.

last night\'s show was okay. definitely very poorly attended. the  space city affair>in the flesh>wuiac>future peek was a great start to the evening.

i enjoyed hearing golgi at the stone church, but didn\'t realize that it was going to be a regular cover in rotation. a lot of people will put the breakfast into the same category of music as phish and/or compare them, so i don\'t think it\'s really the best thing to play golgi too often (even if it does sound great when they do).

the first set definitely owned the second.. tunage is still something that is growing on me, but i definitely could have done without rust. i always enjoy hearing overexposure...

not much else to say about the evening. for whatever reason, the knit was like 90 fucking degrees all night. it was like a jungle in there.

Oh and without a doubt Escher\'s 3+4 is the best piece of music debuted by this band since Doughboy.  PLEASE continue to write complex, progressive songs (not that Doughboy is progressive, it\'s just of my jazz rock tasting). THIS is what you\'re FLAWLESS at.  This is the main reason why I\'ll never be able to turn my back on this band...

Overalll, a good show.  I had a lot of fun in the city "last night" (yup, another sick day today!)  There weren\'t many people during second set (~50), but I checked out Benevento downstairs at the Knit, & there were even less people there (only abt 20-30).  Highlight for me was L&TG>OE... Animal did an awesome job during the segue!

Golgi should definitely be scrapped. Just not feeling it as a cover. Once was cool, twice might so soon, a little too much.

An average show with most of its highlights coming in the jams of the songs. HLH jam was ser and Escher\'s was also hot. The jam in Rust was really nice from Tunage. The Late and The Great > Overexposure was really a highlight with the best jamming coming at this time.

Average show. Typical Breakfast curse of people leaving at setbreak. It is cool to hate the Breakfast.

They aren\'t generic funk changes though. In fact that section of the song sounds more like it came from an Alphose Mouzon or George Duke song.

I heard Adrian say he felt L&TG>OE was their best tune of the night.  I was worried with them playing it with the drastic drop in numbers between sets, that it would be tame, but they definatley played their hearts out on it.  My highlight for the evening.  I really don\'t understand why people don\'t like L&tG. It honestly baffles me, but hey to each their own.

that is a very Walsh-esque comment........idiotic yet designed to ZING.....

This show was tough, well, at least for me it was.  It felt like to me, for the first time since I have been seeing this band, that the band\'s performance was effected by the attendance of the show.......I probably need to hear this one again before making any kind of statement like this, but that was the feeling I had all night....It was quite depressing and disheartening.......Honestly, this is the first time I have allowed myself to start thinking about upcomming shows since Saturday.

The closer Saturday gets, the better I start feeling though........

i feel ya stevesy, but there was definitely a kind of energy during tl&tg>oe that really got them going.  i\'ve played to huge crowds, i\'ve played to next to no one, and i\'ve played to small crowds (in big rooms) of just my good friends, and theres really something to be said for playing to just the people who are close to you and having them return that energy as few as they may be.  it\'s a different kind of energy.  getting huge amounts of anonymous energy from huge crowds is fucking great, but getting energy when you exactly who and where it\'s coming from is pretty special in a different way.

Believe me bro, I have seen a couple hundge breakfast shows in front of all sizes of crowds, and I witnessed, for the first time, at the knitting factory, what appeared to be the band in aweshocked disbelief at the lack of attendance, and it hampered their performance, in my opinion.  However, I do believe that it could have just been me projecting my feelings on the performance, but something wasn\'t right in my personal opinion....

Am I giving up?  Fuck NO.

Do I still believe in this band? Fuck YES

What is my ultimate point? I have no fucking idea......

I hope the band doesn\'t take doozies as badly as we do. I mean, they have to forget about the doozies and remember the shows like Stone church, moe.down, 10k lakes, puppet house etc. I just hope they don\'t get easily discouraged (which they apparently don\'t because we all know they\'ve played more than their fare share of doozies).

Please save your questions until I\'m through!"

"Well, when will that be? A long time, we wait. We\'ve been here over three hours.  I\'m not sure if any of us can see what this is supposed to mean!"

"Supposed to mean? Supposed to mean?! I think everyone here knows what this is supposed to mean.  When you\'ve gone over something again and again...and again and again...like I have...certain questions get answered.  Others spring up!  The mind plays tricks on you. PapaG, if they were easily dishearted, I am sure this band would have been dunzo a long time ago........

How do you moderate a moderator, because I think Jim Cobb is off the wagon....

"Why? What\'s the significance? I don\'t know!
Exhibit "Q"!  A scale model of the entire mall!  "X" marks the scene of the crime. These arrows mark the sun\'s position at the hour of the crime! Jupiter was aligned with Pluto! The moon was in the Seventh...

You play tricks back!  It\'s like you\'re unraveling a cable-knit sweater...that someone keeps knitting...and knitting and knitting...and knitting and knitting and knitting!"

"On this very night, ten years ago, along this very stretch of road in a dense fog just like this. I saw the worst accident I ever seen. There was this sound, like a garbage truck dropped off the Empire State Building... And when they pulled the driver\'s body from the twisted, burning wreck. It looked like this... "
