In case you haven\'t noticed, The Chase forum has changed. It is now fully integrated with the calendar.
This is something that I\'ve wanted to do for a while, but it never worked with the \'roll call\' feature before. It does now.
From now on, when a new show is posted, a thread will automatically be started in The Chase forum. All of the show\'s info that is usually found on the calendar will be in the first post of the thread, and you\'ll be able to respond directly from there.
Existing threads/shows will not be linked for the time being. I will be slowly merging existing show threads with their respective shows on the calendar, but the process is quite tedious and will take some time. Going forward, all new shows will immediately be linked.
The 11/09/06 Utica show is the first \'new\' show to display this functionality from scratch. The 11/24/06 Philly show is an example of a show that I \'merged\' with an existing thread.
A chronological summary of shows in the next 7 days is also displayed at the top of the forum now.
I have also created a second calendar. The Breakfast calendar and Side Project calendar are now separate entities, and each correspond to their respective \'The Chase\' forum. Oh, I also renamed The Chase: Side Dishes forum to Over Exposure.
There are a few issues that I know about that I\'m trying to work out:
- Day/Date show up on thread title in the forum, but not in search results or on the front page.
- Event details show up twice in a row at the beginning of the thread.
- Duplicate \'Get Moxie\' ads are being shown. (i\'ll be fixing this in the AM.)
I didn\'t feel that was enough to keep me from putting this into production, so I went with it.
Feel free to comment.

word up, good call with that.
Oh yeah, like on this thread:

It says nowhere in the title or post what day it is. I still don\'t know what day that is

The only issue I have with this is I wish it would show the date of the show in the subject of the thread.

I\'m just really lazy and like seeing the date of the show before I click on the link.
