Title: What should The Breakfast\'s grassroots team be called?
Post by: davepeck on February 27, 2006, 01:57:57 pm: Thanks to your help in this thread, the band has decided on 3 finalists for the official name of the grassroots team. Now it\'s time for you to cast your vote for what the final name will be.

The finalists:
Team Po Zest
The Wild Pack
Breakfast Street Team

Post by: Jim Cobb on February 27, 2006, 03:10:49 pm: i dont think it matters whether or not the name references the breakfast. when a person receives breakfast promo stuff from a member of the wild pack, i think they\'ll have a pretty good idea of what\'s going on.

I agree with the vote and the sentiment. But why be so specific? Clearly we\'re all losers (at the very least those of us in the 1,000 post club).

I am so with you on this Joc, though I know why I do not like it.
For One it\'s the name of a bad movie.
Two I picture people running around crazily shoving flyers and discs into people\'s hands. Not a real friendly image.
Three it is so not original and is not as clever a name as Po Zest.
Four it just sounds dumb to me.

on another note, the posters for the tour that Timmy emailed out of the album cover....im not really a fan of, are there any others that i could print out and post?

i\'m with ya..i don\'t get the robots thing or see how it really has much to do with the tour.

looks like there was very little effort put into it.. too computerized. im a big fan of the old school psychedelic drawing type posters. still think someone should draw a caricature of the whole band and use it for posters/t-shirts.

i agree. a breakfast poster along the lines of the new aruny timmy tour poster would have been ser.

this one looks a little too much like clip art copied and pasted in without even taking the time to lay them out neatly. i definitely would have went with a different font for the text also. it doesnt fit with the design and looks like a cheap font that came stock with windows. a bolder, simpler font could have saved the whole poster layout. if it was at the merch table for $10 or less i would probably get it, but $25 really expensive.

what happened to the robot on the right side? did it lose its balance on the floating orb? is it trying to act like a crow? i dont really get it. but i dont really have a right to complain because i could have made one myself if i wanted to, but i didnt.

just wanted to put in some constructive critisism so maybe it can be taken into consideration for next time.
