Loose Lucy is a great tune. Taped?

those are some random covers. It could mean that those are part of the albums that they will be covering... But, if they have anything to do with the puppethouse, it could go either way - maybe they learned some random material, decided the album wasnt good enough and scrapped it, but the 1 song sounded good, thus this preformance. I\'d keep an eye out on timmy tour for new material as another clue.

I know at least Question has been a Timmy Tour tune for a while, and I\'m kicking myself for missing the full band debut.  I highly doubt any of those tunes have anything to do w/ the albums they\'re coverring, probably just special debuts for the cruise.

i dont think they would cover grand funk or the dead at the puppet house, but anything is possible. tim has been playing question since december, but it is somewhat of a rarity on timmy tour. i find it strange that breakfast is covering it. i think i would pick moody blues as being in the top 5 of bands that they would most likely cover at the puppet house. they may have been testing out this song to see how the crowd reacted to help them make a final decision for the puppet house.

meh....

Fun time overall but the show weak sauce in my opinion.

Deffinitly didnt live up to all the hype surrounding this event.

It had it moments but overall the show never really took off.

It was nothing compared to the last nyc show.

It was nice to hear sundance again. been forever since I seen of those.

The score was pretty rippin. Other than that not really much to rave about. Adrian raged it pretty hard but no one else was doing anything too crazy.

The new covers were kinda cool but somewhat sloppy and the vocals very merky.

eppy 2 was average. It was cool at the end they were jamming real fast and hard before cutting out and going to the end section which was a little different than usual.

There was a popeye tease in I believe mayflay.

kind of dissapointing musically but oh well. Had a great day in the city before the show and had a fun time on the boat and met a bunch more .infoers.

wish i went to block island. I know its gonna be hot tonite just to spite me.

Lookin forward to gnu groove tho!

ps-> sorry to be such a hater but I gotta call em like I see em.

ya they carded me at the bar.. but i have an id so its all good.. the pat downs were insane fellas. In fact, ive never witnessed such an extensive pat down ever before. After hiding my bowl in a bush i had no problem getting on...

DUde the entire show was amazing.. The second half had the boat rockin, maybe that was the waves, but the music deff contributed. To say the least, the show was bad ass

hey chris ! yes I did tape it I will be bringing down the dats for you on sunday. I also already put it on disc and I am making some copies to bring with me on sunday to give to spacey. I am surprised I was able to do it on how tired I am. Ron came with me so you see what we were up against being so far up here in maine makes it tough, but ohh so worth the trip. I remember just turning to ron and saying can you believe this !!! As we were going by the statue of liberty. In between sets just about everyone was upstairs on the boat just as we were going under the bridge, everyone was looking up screaming. I looked around at the cruise line employees I could tell they were taken by surprise!!! Great seeing everyone what a great family we have! Hey jim great to meet you finally along with mike and his friend a fellow taper and TJ. There was four of us taping, so I am sure it will be up soon on archive. Sick sick show, Everytime it just gets better toping the last show. Dave , chris and matt wish you guys were there missed all of you! Even freddie!

Yes klout forgot all about you so sorry, Great to see you, anyway looks like you forgot to give me your addy. Pm me with it, I need to get you the 4-21-05 show along with this one. One thing to add to your comments, Not that I disagree, because I can see what you mean to some degree, But everyone must take one thing into consideration, this boat was rocking I mean really rocking , I only had two beers the whole night and I was getting knocked around , consider trying to play the complex songs they did and putting your fingers some place and having to maintain your balance. Playing the drums you can sit, so a little easier. Adrian told me it was still tough this is the first time for them on a boat.

oh believe me jason I thought of it.

there was a lot of factors. The boat rocking while trying to play being a major one. the set up was weak. kind shoved in the corner of the boat next to the bar. weak turnout, not what they were hoping for. sound was iffy. but the mood saved it from being a total dud and good times were had :)

thanks for the shows i\'ll pm you my info!

I was pretty it into for about half the show on and off. It wasn\'t bad or anything. Just no where near the other shows I have seen this year. But an average breakfast show is still a lot more fun than a good show of most other bands. I think it was also somewhat disapointing for me because I hadn\'t seen any breakfast shows in 2.5 months and I was expecting the FIRE. There was lots of hype surrounding this show and ussually when that is the case they step up to the plate and deliver in a major way that EXCEEDS all the hype and expectations.

Well I would say that perhaps the scenary had a lot to do with it as well. Lots of folks spending time topside to take in the un-real views. I was in awe of the views. We I spent less time at my rig then usual.

The Pat downs were crazy. they went through all of my gear had me take almost everything out. We didnt have any issues  getting thing on really. I had to make a switch becasue I saw they were checking cigarette packs etc but whatever.

I really had a blast. I danced my ass off and I don\'t normally spend a lot fo time up in the crowd like that.

I will agree with Klout that the show wasn\'t like a lot of Breakfast shows. It wasn\'t a dud either. I think a few factors entered in. 1 the band had been on that boat since 5PM, It was hotter than hell, and the really early start.

I found a lot that I enjoyed. I was up jamming to Ron. His bass playing just gets better and better and better. Loose Lucy jammed. Jordans vocals were low but overall I thought dobbs did a great job with the room.

I dont\' know about best ep2 ever but it was killer.  So was Scheme and the jam right before No Glove, Un-fuckin-real Ronnie was layin that shit down like it was his job(oh it is)  I\'m honestly not too sure how you came away from that show so let down Klout, come on they blew the power out that\'s rockin it!

BTW, I think "Closer To Home" was more of a tease than a full cover

i had a great time.....made it through the patdown unscathed. then, after watching security act like dicks upstairs, decided to smoke up the room downstairs just before we pulled in. fuck em. you could tell they were pissed but if they had acted reasonably, so would i. the super fly phatty phat wouldn\'t have been necessary. i thought the show was great. i missed a lot of the first set going upstairs but i thought the second set was awesome. my criticisms would be (besides the security dicks) terrible beer selection and there should have been some speakers upstairs to hear the band while looking at the view. otherwise....i had a great night.

Also the name of the song is "I\'m your Captain" not "Closer to Home"  that\'s just the corus.

"I\'m your captain, i\'m your captain,
Although i\'m feeling mighty sick.

Sucks that they were such dicks, customer service is important.  Too bad they couldn\'t use some humor while searching the folks, instead of ticking off the masses.

the views were fantastic I\'ll tell you that! Been going to the city my whole life but never seen the big picture in all its majesty like that before! The best view of the skyline I have seen with my own eyes untill then was prolly from the GW. I was blown away by the skyline from the river.  Looking out on it I couldnt even believe that I had been driving around in that crazy mountain range of buildings earlier in the day

I was looking for Help On The Way>The Ocean>Love Lake, but who listens to me?? The second set was great, and Dobz is right about the Mooboo\'s, one of the best. I\'m ready for Sunday.

Also the name of the song is "I\'m your Captain" not "Closer to Home"  that\'s just the corus.

"I\'m your captain, i\'m your captain,
Although i\'m feeling mighty sick.
Everybody, listen to me,
And return me, my ship."

makes for an apropriate tune for a boat though eh?

someone\'s calling my name....

such a good song....glad to hear they covered it

and what\' up with all the drug references lately?  it\'s almost like people are bragging about them...not cool

what drug refrences? eh?

id have to agree with some fellow .infoers here that the 2nd set was really something special, tgsof, and mooboos were sweet especially since I believe it was the first time Id seen them both played live, but dont know for sure gonna have to check my bfast show stats.

also with all the hype surrounding this particular show it was somewhat dissappointing, however maybe I was expecting too much since the last time I saw them was beardslee way back in May.  however it must be hard to play with the boat rocking back and forth and it sure was doing just that, especially since I only had a few beers and someone gave me a mix drink so I cant complain. I got to see the Breakfast play live once again, take in the spectualr views from atop, overall a solid show, def. not one of their best this summer but I was expecting them to walk on water or something to that effect.  good times were def had by all in attendence.

interesting set of mixed reviews..

either way that setlist looks phenomenal. waiting to hear something specific about the music though?? didnt anyone have any jaw-dropping moments in an unexpected (meaning not ep.2 or tgsot) jam? how was mayfly? i dont know, i guess the views must have been that good. still havent heard from spacey or gencs, they should add some flava flaaav.

rujah-- you dont know if youve ever seen an ep.2 or tgsot? are you ser guy?!

Ser show on the boat. Just got back from the 2 day "Boating with The Breakfast" leg of the August mini-tour. Wasn\'t sure how they could top this performance but it was only a warm up for Block Island.

Once my head clears, I will get into detail as to what unfolded over the last few days.

Ser indeed.

great PME story from last night, I will wait till the setlist is posted.

i don\'t know what you kids are talking about, that show was awesome

as for the boat ride, i will admit that at first i honestly thought i was getting sea sick and i am not usually one who gets motion sickness or anything like that, but as the boat started moving it was a nice ride. beautiful cruise through nyc, statue of liberty/ellis island..i felt like i was on the voyage of the mimi or something

u were prolly high off ur ass 2 bro

wooohooo brad yeah 420 get high get crunked..420 RuLeZ 4LyFe

i was a little bit nervous about getting on the boat because i\'m not yet 21 (but have an ID) but it was all good and there was a crowd of like 16-17 year old boys or something (brad420)..pretty hilarious how easy it was to get on this boat, anyone who hasn\'t been on one of these cruises definitely check it out when you can

I hate to say this, but listen to the recording of this show, forget all the shit that surrounds it, the fact that it was on a boat, and that it was in NYC, and all that other crap, and then listen to just about any other show from 05 and I think that most of you will realize that this show did not reach the heights most of us thought it would.  THe setlist is phenomenal BUT the musicianship is not there in almost every song that we have grown accustomed to in the last 6-8 months.  I may be in the minority here, but thats just how i feel. IF you want to hear the FIRE, check out the Nugroove set.  IF your bored compare the two and then tell us what you really think of the this set.

well you gotta understand, i mean look how hard it was for us just to dance on that boat, then think about how hard it must be to put on a face melting performance in general then add the movement of the boat.   i think they did a great job considering...

I am surprised no one fell flat on thier face...at least not that I saw. I have fallen over dancing at a few shows on flat ground heh. And that boat was really rocking at times. I guess everyone was on guard and had each others back

There were a couple of moments during the second set where I thought I was going to take out at least 5 kidz from the boat rockin....thanks to the low ceiling, which I could grab for support nobody was hurt...backs were most definitely had as well.....

I need to thank Jason-A for the immediate turn around on the Boat Cruise recording. I was given a copy on Sunday at the Family Jam. I have listened to it and the quality is great. I really enjoyed reliving this moment while driving in my car.

There is nothing like the face of another driver when rockin\' out to Fairy. (In Wallingford, I usually jusy give the finger and wave, then peel out, only to have my car stale and the other driver drive right past me laughing. Live and learn, I say!)

I hope all of you will enjoy a recording of this fine show, too.
