click on the vBChat link on the navbar and check it out..

still need to get some things ironed out (users in chat not showing up on the forum home page yet), but try it out and let me know what you think!

It looks great, dave, but is a bit difficult to navigate with the three scroll bars within one small box.

Will this mean an end to the "GET A ROOM!" ?;)

if you are using a browser that supports tabs you can open the vbchat link in a new tab and you get full screen rather than a tiny box

the size of the vbchat window is relevant to your screen size. it\'s currently set to open up at 60% of your screen\'s width, and 40% height.. the window IS expandable, so you can resize it to get rid of one scrollbar, but i believe the size of the inner window is static..

is there a way to enlarge the screen or is it one size? I don\'t understand what a browser with tabs mean, I am a little slow :)

i use firefox and konqueror, which are browsers that support tabs. with tabs you can open several pages in the same browser window rather than opening a separate browser for each page you have open, which clutters up your taskbar.

you should be able to drag the bottom-right corner of the window to resize..

in IE the resize arrow shows up but the size is locked and it wont go bigger or smaller. in firefox you dont even get the arrow that gives you the option of resizing. It will resize just fine in konqueror, but in that browser the text box and the box that shows the other users online are missing. they are just the dark purple background that the web site has.

I have noticed that there are Firefox ads or whatever on the homepage. Is Firefox a good browser? I was under the impression that the US Government put firefox out and they are some of the people I don\'t trust...

I\'m not sure but I thought it was an open source browser. Ever since I started using it I have had ZERO viruses screwing up my computer like IE has.

I will look into it further. Can\'t hurt to atleast try it out.

Anything different from it then say IE?

The government also urged people to to accept a billion on billion $$$ debt for a war on oil, doesn\'t mean you should listen to them.

But, I will atleast give it a try

I switched to Firefox due to some computer geek that had this forum called pbfans. He swore by it and still does. I had no idea the government was urging folk to switch. LOL

spacey - get it. tabbed browsing alone rocks, but there\'s so much more you can do with it. do a google search for \'firefox extensions\', and look at all the plugins that are out there for it...

i wouldn\'t get rid of it completely.. there\'s still some sites that don\'t look quite right in FF.. but definitely make FF your default browser, and only use IE when you need to..

I\'m still happy running netscape. I\'m just too damn lazy to go download new browsing programs.

actually, i\'d say absolutely not.. FF is much safer, plus you can open up a shitload of galleries from one page in all different tabs in FF..

...not that i know anything about that.. that\'s just what i heard.. ;)

Been using firefox for a while too - tried Opera, which also has tabbed browsing, but FF gets my vote.

Going to have to try some of those extensions now.

As for IE, you have to keep it if you\'re running a Windows operating system as Windows Update will only work via IE.

Dave how come when I enter the chat room some members are always in the room also even if they are not even logged on? They show up as in the room but not on the sidebar that has the status etc. What\'s the deal?

yeah i know.. it\'s definitely quirky.. even when i\'m in there, i\'ll show up on the sidebar, then i\'ll disappear, and come back...

i\'m about to install a flash version of a chat software which we\'ll try out over the next few days. i haven\'t been a fan of the current chat so far.. it\'s something, which i guess is better than nothing, but we can do better. :)
