Freddie or Gencs anyone want to order me a 1/2 yarder seeing as how I will probably be at work until 8:00?  I can\'t miss out on those things before they are all taken.

Dumb question perhaps, but what is the usual beverage of choice for your half yarders?

More of a Murphy\'s man myself - Guinness doesn\'t travel well, even from just across the Irish Sea!!

Over here, half yards aren\'t that common and finding a pub which is willing to serve anyone a yard is rare, except in sporting clubs. Have had to do a few over the years as punishment/celebration for scoring hatricks - has to be bitter if it\'s going down in one - lager type beers are too cold and too gassy and cider would probably be lethal, while Guinness would definitely be too chewy - both up and down ;)

Although I have never had a 1/2 yard, and probably never will... I can say that if I were to do one it would probably have to be Guinness. I have a tough time drinking beer fast due to the carbonation, it burns my throat. Can\'t even drink soda fast. Actually, can\'t even drink soda. Gross. But anyhow, could probably drink a half yardof Guinness due to the lower carbonation.
