Judging by the popularity of this thread (http://www.pbfans.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2082), it looks like people want an \'official\' nickname for their Breakfast fandom...
What do you think we should be called? Please vote and comment.

weekapaug, my thinking is along the same lines.. \'brekkies\' has a nice ring to it, and it\'s directly associated with the band (like phishheads, deadheads, radioheadheads :hscratch:, etc..).. my problem with serheads is not only that you need to crack a code to figure out what it means, but that if you see it, you\'re gonna mispronounce it until someone tells you how to say it right, by which point you say, \'that\'s stupid\'. :)
same gist with WPOA... unless you really know the songs, no average joe is gonna know what it means... and what exactly is the singular of WPOA? i\'m a brekkie = i\'m a wild asscrack?! :jawdrop:

I do, in all seriousness have a solution that will require it\'s own thread (or an AIM chat room), about 12 minutes (or 12 days if having to deal with it through threads), and a majority of the crowd being online at the same time, yes wishful thinking but it\'s an idea. But I don\'t see it working, so nevermind.

I really like Breakfast Digesters...... serheads, although amusing, I don\'t think has a very good ring to it. And, I would really prefer something that doesn\'t end in "head." Wild Pack is great, but what\'s the singular? Wild Packer? poor. Member of the Wild Pack? also poor. I don\'t know.....

What\'s your idea ant? As someone who can do little to get involved with the band from over here, I like this participation thread. Also, as someone who has mentioned both Brekkies and WPOAC as possibilities, I don\'t want to get the blame for any name which the gang doesn\'t like!!!

Whatever ya\'ll decide I guess is cool but I am and always will be a Deadhead. I have been for 20 years now and it works for me.
I just happen to really dig alot of other music w/ The Breakfast near the top of my personal billboard chart.

The more I think of it, Brekkie\'s is kinda gay (to close to trekkie\'s), but that\'s probally the best one i\'ve heard so far. I think The Omelettes is kinda funny too, and not a bad name. I like the idea of the name having some sort of breakfast relation in it.
The Wild Pack works too, and i also wouldn\'t mind being called an asscrack, as i have been called one in the past.

I thought this got shot down on the Yahoo group years ago? When someone wanted the fans "name" to be the Breakfast Club...why do fans have to have a name? My vote went to other and I will specify that I think a vote for no name would be best.

modifying my input a little. i am going to suggest that the pb, sorry, breakfast fans in whole be called "the pizza." for example, when arriving early to a show, you may ask someone "wheres the pizza at?" or when slangin\' it out , "wheres the rest of the pie?" this may only be good for the die hards, who know eachother...then we can give out pizza themed pet names for one another. just one slice of cheese baby.

Rujah- What I meant was, Did the papers and media name Deadheads and Phishheads after they noticed that these 2 bands had a devoted following. Of course if we went to PT they would mock us, half of the community already states the Breakfast as a shitty bar band.

# Have have poor image that I feel in unjust. On the many occasions when I\'ve travelled to the Dreamlands I\'ve never had any problems. Of course, I have always taken precautions.
1. Always bring something to give to the Zoogs as a gift. Zoogs prefer tools, telescopes, clockwork toys work very well. If you have food, offer to share.
2. Avoid the Enchanted Woods at night, and stick to the trails in the day time. The Zoogs will watch you but will not approach you unless invited.
3. Be friendly. An angry Zoog can be troublesome, a whole village of angry Zoogs ... well, I\'d rather not think about it.
# Zoogs also make an alcoholic like drink called Zoog Juice. Not for the faint of heart, or the weak stomached.

I just think a group of 100 dedicated followers doesn\'t deserve a name. Even out of that, maybe 10 of us can drop what we are doing and run off and see these guys when they are mere hours away. When we reach a status of dedication that we are out in Iowa following the band, then maybe we deserve a name. It is kind of stupid when a small group trys to name themself out of a desperate plea to have a name for their fans.
I just don\'t think we have hit that level of fandom where we can call ourselves something. It\'s not negative, it is the truth. Some of us only see the band when they are in are back yard. That isn\'t a worthy of a name. Deadheads and Phishheads got their names by travelling with the band whenever they go out on the road. Last I checked, when the boys are on the road, the only thing following them is a trailer and if they are lucky it is on 2 wheels.

You missed my point. You were travelling to NY and although you are from NH this doesn\'t really hit the level of travelling that I think contends for a name on the Breakfast. If you find yourself out in the midwest behind that van, I will be the first to call you a serhead or whatever you want. 2-3 fans following a band isn\'t the level of dedication to start calling the fanbase something. I don\'t question your dedication to Breakfast shows nor do I do anyone elses. All I know are the facts. There are shows in Jersey where 10 people are there, still it is closer then NYC to get to, yet there is no following.
We have not YET hit the level of SER to call ourselves anything. Just because 10-20 of us are diehards who try to make every show doesn\'t mean that we deserve a name. Outside of the festivals, when was the last time a Breakfast show was sold out? When was the last time any of us where in Chicago for a show?

I don\'t question this. I question our need for a name on the fanbase. When you are in the lot selling grilled Pizza\'s at a Breakfast show, you can almost guarantee that a name for the fans will surface.

Funny how serheads seems to have won even though it was not in the original poll. The term serheads appears in the first issue of Breakfast Digest, which means it is only a matter of time until the Merriam-Webster people get wind of it and put it in the dictionary.
