Post by: Vassillios on November 19, 2009, 05:19:29 pm
Someone had to start it.

Post Midnight NYE will officially be the first of Phish in 2010. What will the new year bring?

I tried for NYE tix but got denied. Not like I\'d make it down to FL anyway.

Got to hope for it, though I think the O2, as Spacey suggests, might be a bit big. Aside from US students, I don\'t know how big their fanbase over here is. When the Cheese came over at the height of their popularity, they only played Union Chapel and then the Astoria gig got moved to the Mean Fiddler as they hadn\'t sold enough tickets. Mule only play the Astoria and Forum, albeit they pack it out. The Forum would be a better bet - Phish would not be able to fill the O2 for one night, let alone two. And judging by the prices you guys have been paying, they would have to drop their ticket prices too.

I don\'t doubt it. Phish played small clubs the last time there. Judging from the attendance to 8, I think you are right on the O2 arena.

Small venues would be amazing, especially as they usually afford the audience a chance to interact with the band before, during and after. I\'m sure it would be just as much fun for them too, to go back to their roots, as it were.

When sci came over the first time, I remember all the Americans down the front with me raving about how great it was that we were so close to the band. (Personally, having Billy play a long meandering intro to Black Clouds, while resting on the monitor not 6\' away was a real musical \'high\'.) Even better when they all came out to chat and sign stuff too.

I just hope that the lure of the big $ doesn\'t make Phish say it\'s not worth coming over.

if they want to play club shows, they will go. While money might be an issue, it shouldn\'t as they must have plenty to go around

I\'ve heard mid-Feb dates kicking around... sources hold no credibility, but I figured I could pass on a rumor... Oakdale 2/13, NYC 2/14 & 2/15.  Guess we will just have to wait and see.  If there is any reality to those dates announcements would have to be soon I\'d imagine.  Also I find it ridiculous how some peeps on the PT board are calling this another "hiatus"  and that it\'s gonna be Phish 4.0...blah blah.  Their summer tours can start at the end of April and go through September and all of that is considered their summer tour.  Not that it will be that extensive but I\'m just sayin is all... It\'s really not that far away.  Some people gotta give it a rest and enjoy what\'s to come.  Don\'t get me wrong though, I do NOT spend much time on the PT boards at all, I actually find them quite boring and really annoying... there\'s definitely a lot more interesting & relevant topics on this board to meaningfully waste time.

BTW... 4 piece TAB vs. 8, 9, or 10 piece vs. 70 Volt parade type of line up??? Thoughts, predictions anyone?

My favorite was the 2001/early 2002 lineup.   Not sure what the arrangement was though.

2001 Line Up - The Octet
Trey Anastasio – guitar
Dave Grippo – Alto Saxophone
Jen Hartswick – trumpet, tuba, vocals
Russ Lawton – drums
Tony Markellis – bass
Andy Moroz - Trombone
Ray Paczkowski – keyboards
Russell Remington - tenor saxophone, flute

2002 Line Up - The Dectet
Trey Anastasio - guitar
Peter Apfelbaum - Baritone Saxophone, percussion
Cyro Baptista - percussion
Dave Grippo - Alto Saxophone
Jen Hartswick - trumpet, tuba, vocals
Russ Lawton - drums
Tony Markellis - bass
Andy Moroz - Trombone
Ray Paczkowski - keyboards
Russell Remington - Tenor Saxophone, flute

I preferred 2002 much more with the addition of Cyro... as random as his sounds are he added a depth to them that when you listen back to 2001 is clearly evident.  Of course that could just be the percussionist in me....

This is kinda random, but was wondering if anyone else picked up on the tease of "The Late and the Great" in the 12/31/09 Steep jam? It starts at 2:54 on the LivePhish version. Trey teases the "jam" they do normally around 5 and a half minutes into the song, after the "A gift to you this melody I play" line. It\'s pretty sick!

That\'s crazy because it\'s like a variation of the background vocal melody of Steep ("rivers that we roooaaad..."), but almost identical to TL&TG.. Page actually starts it at the 2:00 mark, and his piano line is even more direct throughout that whole sequence. Very cool! TB should sue them!

Not breaking news to the community, but it’s shareworthy.

6/1 Wrigley Field
6/3-4 Deer Creek
6/5-6 Alpine
6/11-12 SPAC

Looks like Chicago> Noblesville> East Troy> NY and that probably means Alpine will be the end of a leg and SPAC will be the beginning of the next one.

Keep in mind that Deer Creek can and will host concerts on weekdays as Phish phans know from past years.  Alpine Only schedules two night runs on either Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday.

Found this from a link on Yemblog. Thought I would share it for those who haven\'t seen. Wrigley was talked about a while ago, but this is my first time seeing the rest of the dates.

Honestly wanted to keep it a tradition and do it for the summer tour opener but since it heavily rumored that Wrigley will be the tour opener this might not be possible.

The possibilities would be Jones Beach, Hartford or Mansfield during the 2010 summer. Once I see some tour dates the date will probably pick it self.

I am really open to all possibilities.

Last time we got the bus for 30 people for 14 or 16 hours and it was $75 that included tip. That also took us to the Breakfast after wards. So just because the concert ends doesn\'t mean we can\'t take that thing out for a minute. I definitely over tipped our driver by a couple hundred but every dollar was worth it.

With Alice in Wonderland earning over $100 million dollars this weekend, audiences (and theater owners) seem particularly receptive to 3D films. In this context comes news that a 3D film presenting Phish in concert is expected to hit theaters next month. Phish 3D will present footage recorded at last year’s Festival 8 event. While an official release date has yet to be announced, a website has just launched, along with an accompanying Facebook page. Thus far, the most commercially-successful 3D concert films have been Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: The Best of Both Worlds Concert and U2 3D , the latter of which was produced by our publisher, Peter Shapiro.

06.11 Bridgeview, IL
06.12 Cuyahoga Falls, OH
06.13 Hershey, PA
06.15 Portsmouth, VA
06.17 Hartford, CT
06.18 Hartford, CT
06.19 Saratoga Springs, NY
06.20 Saratoga Springs, NY
06.22 Mansfield, MA

06.27 Columbia, MD
06.29 Canandaigua, NY
07.01 Raleigh, NC
07.02 Charlotte, NC
07.03 Atlanta, GA
07.04 Atlanta, GA
------------
08.05 Berkeley, CA
08.06 Berkeley, CA
08.07 Berkeley, CA
08.09 Telluride, CO
08.10 Telluride, CO
08.12 Noblesville, IN
08.13 Noblesville, IN
08.14 Osage Creek PAC, AR
08.15 Osage Creek PAC, AR
08.16 Osage Creek PAC, AR
08.17 Wantagh, NY
08.18 Wantagh, NY
08.20 New York, NY (Radio City Music Hall)
08.21 New York, NY (Radio City Music Hall)

If these are indeed correct, it seems like the Hershey show would be the most ideal for the bus trip.  Looks like all the other North East dates are either during the week or part of a 2 night run

Basically, Trey used Genesis and I believe Peter Gabriel as his guiding light as to breaking up Phish. How did Peter Gabriel know Genesis was over and done for good. That was Trey\'s reasoning.

So, I just found it interesting that in the end, Trey gets to induct Genesis into the HoF. Instead of every yahoo on this board thinking of what I say negatively like I am dissing Phish or Genesis, a band I truly do not care about, instead of seeing the situation of from another perspective.

So, maybe, this is just one of those coincidences in life or something.

Honestly, doesn\'t even matter.

Hershey is a 4 hr ride, so just on driving you figure 10 hours, then the show another 3 and lets put a 3 hr window in for pre/post show. You figure 16 hrs. I can guesstimate that it will be anywhere from $80-100/person on a 30 person bus with tip. But, thats just a guess.

I also bet that we here by end of day or week latest about tour dates.

For the record I am also fine with (prefer) doing SPAC on 6/19 (Saturday) as I have no plans to go to the Sunday show...however I also see that the B\'fast is playing some festivals this weekend, so this might be tough to pull off

I\'ve seen these dates from multiple sources at this point.  I feel like these dates are correct, however the one point of contention seems to be the Ossage Creek shows...those could potentially be Alpine Valley dates (8/14 + 8/15).

Got a feeling these dates are close to accurate. If not a surprise or two left out.

08.12 Noblesville, IN
08.13 Noblesville, IN
08.14 Osage Creek PAC, AR
08.15 Osage Creek PAC, AR
08.16 Osage Creek PAC, AR
08.17 Wantagh, NY
08.18 Wantagh, NY

This doesn\'t make sense. Phish playing 7 days straight. Driving from Arkansas to NY overnight and playing? Not them. Not today. Also, I heard Osage Creek won\'t open until 2011.

This article seems to validate that. http://www.fayettevilleflyer.com/2009/12/11/osage-creek-performing-arts-center-on-track-for-2011-opening/

Only means that those dates might contain a festival.

This bus trip is 100% happening. Have no worries. I need concrete facts to surface before I start getting everything finalized.

Gordo I am with you that it is weird to be starting their summer tour in chicago. I doubt that has ever happened and will wait for someone else to prove me wrong or right(cause I am lazy). However now that i see the official line up it could not be better for us chicagoians. Kicking it off here and then wrappin it up ish at deer creek and alpine. Shit son its like the flipped the script from last summer. I knew they felt that toyota park show more than everybody else claimed they did. It wasn\'t just the adderall and shrooms.

Is there any possibility that they are looking at a Wrigley show before Toyota Park, and might just announce it later?  Just like last year they played Fenway right before the tour but announced the show several weeks after announcing the tour.  I checked and the Cubs are indeed on the road for 10 days before the Toyota Park show, which would leave plenty of time for Phish to set up, play, and break down.  (They were in Fenway for 5 days...3 to set up, show night, and the next day to break down.)

There are 3 concerts approved so far at Wrigley as of right now... DMB and Billy Joel/Elton John. As far as I can find out the dates have not been released yet for either one.  One of them is doing a 2 night stand.  I\'m guessing that if Phish were to play there they would piggyback on the night(s) after DMB played there as they did with Fenway, due to the Red Light Mgmt connection... I could be completely wrong, but its not an unreasonable assumption.

Yeah let me make that clearer.  It took three days to set up the stage.  Then DMB played twice and Phish played once, then they broke down the stage in one day.  So we can assume that Phish would need the ballpark to be available for 5 days in order for a show to be possible.  Indeed, Wrigley seems to be available for this length of time before the Toyota Park show.

Anyways, has anyone heard back on their ticket requests yet?  I got pav\'s for Hartford and SPAC!  Shut out of Great Woods.

Hey, anybody have any info on this on-sale for the advance movie screening on 4/20?  Info is very vague.  Phish\'s facebook:

"Tickets for the Tuesday, April 20th screenings will be available for purchase on Friday, March 26 (individual theater on-sale dates may be subject to change). Ticketing information will be available at http://www.phish3dmovie.com or with the following theaters."

OK but phish3dmovie.com only takes your email address and then doesn\'t send an email.  I registered 2 days ago.  The movie theater in MA doesn\'t answer their phone.  Tickets are supposed to go on sale today.

is there any rhyme or reason to how the holds get sent out, cc company? region? seating area? or is utterly and completely random...

Well, whatever the process is, I woke up this morning to a $230 hold on my credit card and my gf has a $120 hold.  I only put in for 2 tix to Hartford both nights and Mansfield.  So, between the 2 of us we either doubled up on 1 show and got another one or scored all 3 shows... here\'s to hoping!

I have 7 shows out of the 14 I put in for.

Can only assume at this point the Greek, Tellirude and Jones Beach did not make the cut but at the same time those 7 might have made the cut.

Wow...so...am I the ONLY person who is totally shut out?  This makes me 0-for-20 with the preorders since Phish came back.  wtf.

I\'ll be giving it my all on Friday with the onsales for Mansfield, Hartford, and Spac.  We all know onsales are no picnic.  If that doesn\'t work out, then someone please HELP!  Any extras I ever come across automatically go to .info people as always!

Well, I totally complained too early.  I STILL don\'t have a credit card hold or charge, but the email is in!

TICKET MARKET GURU RETURNS FOR 2010![/B][/SIZE]

I got both Hartford, Spac Sunday and Mansfield.  Surprisingly the only show I didn\'t get was Saratoga Saturday.  Saratogas were by far the easiest northeast tickets last year.  (Although Fenway and Albany ended up being free-ticket bonanzas outside the gates because so many people had over-purchased.)

Let the trading begin, here we go:

I need: SPAC Saturday 6/19.  Just one is fine, or if two is easier we can do that.

Also, if you have better seats to one of the 4 shows below and I have tickets for a show that you\'re missing, we can make that work too.

I have:
-Hartford 6/17 2 lawn
-Hartford 6/18 2 sec 500
-Spac 6/20 2 lawn
-Mansfield 6/22 4 sec 11

Good luck all!

Ticket Market Guru Says:[/B]

Keep the faith George.  Over-purchasing was definitely rampant last year.  Last year people could not even give their tickets away at Fenway, Albany (both nights) and Knoxville.  And those are just the ones I saw personally.  I\'m sure Alpine was just as easy, maybe others.  If you showed up without a ticket to those shows you could literally keep refusing free tickets until you found one for the section you wanted.  Some shows are tough too, but we all know anything can happen on lot.  It looks like the economy and the over-purchasing mistakes of last year might finally be catching up to the Phish ticket market.

i\'ll keep you posted. if i get seats tomorrow, its all yours.  and its not being "too cool", its just the sound quality on the lawn there isn\'t that great.  ive been there numerous times for other artists and felt the same way about lawn there.  love the venue though.

that would be awesome.  the only shows i\'ve had pavilion for at Great Woods were Allman Brothers/moe. when I had front row seats. NIN when I had second row behind the pit.  and "the Dead" when I had VIP box seats.  All Phish/Trey shows I\'ve seen there have been on the lawn and I\'ve kinda grown to love it.

Nope...I was wrong.  Things are totally different this year.  Pavs in sections 4-15 are STILL coming out at 10:45AM.  Pays to keep trying.

I keep pulling open air pavs over and over again but can\'t seem to crack the covered seats.  PTers are still reporting getting covered seats so I\'m still at it.

you should be able to get through to someone if you wait long enough. what time did you call? i think they\'re based out of the west coast so business hours might be slightly different.  there should be a number for customer services on the website... i definitely had to call them last year and spoke to someone.

Smattering of rumors out there about a concert @ Loring Airforce base scheduled for the last week of August.  Apparently there have been several signs posted looking for volunteers.

I\'m not ready to buy the rumor, especially with nothing announced (and it\'s June).  Also, doesn\'t seem to make sense...With Jones beach shows being the week before, it would make more sense to have the festival the 3rd weekend rather than 4th.

I had a chance to listen to the Ohio second set yesterday and I enjoyed what I heard.  I specifically really enjoyed the Rock n Roll > Hood > BDTNL segment.  IMO you lose something with these segments not being there (see: CK5 on lights), but even thoug it didn\'t get too far out there I could put a picture together in my head.  Hoping for a little bit better in Hartford, but I would certainly settle for 4 or 5 tastey segments between Htfd II and SPAC I

Underwhelmed by last night\'s (Thursday Hartford) concert. Or perhaps the realization that lawn seats are no longer worth the worn-off novelty of seeing my sometimes-favorite band.

Also I feel that while Divided Sky is a beautiful song and appropriate given the weather that afternoon, I would have preferred something a little more upbeat so I could dance and keep warm.

I know a lot of people go nuts for Esther but I\'ve found it\'s circus-y nature annoying since my first listen to Junta.

Contact was fun.. but damn I could have saved a lot of money by listening to Junta.. Dinner and a Movie... yes, fun music... but then, Alaska? At this point I was freezing up on the lawn and found this to be somewhat of a cruel joke.

High points of the show included the last 2 minutes or so of Stash (the only inspired part of Set 1 imo) and Sand, Farmhouse, Mike\'s Groove.

Shine Your Everlovin\' Light on Me or whatever that encore was = some weak shit. If most of the show put me half to sleep, here\'s a nice Ambien for an encore?

Anyway good to see lots of people, including some of you all. Appreciate the comments that I\'m looking much better than "the last time we saw you" ;)  ... uh-huh I am back, ready, willing, and able to mostly-soberly attend shows and give my favorite bands bi-polar reviews afterwards!

Not going tonight. Will be @ Mansfield with Pavilion seats, hopefully I can hear the concert then.

See, I don\'t get the Phish snobbery... Most fans would give their left arm for a show that includes Dinner and a Movie, Divided Sky, Esther and Sand...  Enjoy the show for what it\'s worth and realize that two years ago these guys weren\'t around...

"Most [Phish] fans" are also fucking retards. So?

I did enjoy the Sand, as stated ;)

Also, the word "snob" and its various phonetical metabolites simply don\'t apply to me. Sociopath, schizo, walking-disaster = getting closer.

Crickets for last night?  Come on, someone.   Give me a review.

The people I  know who went said it completely trumped first night.   I am basically kicking myself that I didn\'t bother with either Hartford.  Especially after seeing that they played Esther the first night, a song I\'ve wanted to hear for a decade now.   Only show I am going to is Mansfield on Tuesday.  And with the setlists I\'ve seen, I have high hopes.

Crickets for last night?  Come on, someone.   Give me a review.

Set 1: Fee > Rift, Wolfman\'s Brother, Summer of \'89, Foam, Possum > The Moma Dance > Julius, Reba, Cavern
The first 3 songs we ok, nothing spectacular. I\'ve found in recent years that Phish has used the first half of the first set as crowd warm up. Play familiar songs pretty straight foward. Let those not on tour get into the right frame of mind.

Summer of \'89 debut.  I like seeing debuts in general, and I liked this song.  Reminds me( in theme) of In My Life.  Nothing like Bryan Adams Summer of \'69. Which is good imo. Great retrospective lyrics.  Made think fondly of some past summers and some really great people.

Foam, Possum>Moma Dance was the highlight of my 1st set.  Very solid Moma Dance, if not a unique one.

Last three songs seemed uninspired. Reba especially. Maybe I\'m just tired of it.

Set 2: Halley\'s Comet > Light -> Billy Breathes, Tweezer > Theme From the Bottom > Harry Hood > Wading in the Velvet Sea, Stealing Time From the Faulty Plan

Outstanding from start to finish. I like Halley\'s as a 2nd set opener.  The alternating soft/hard from Billy to Faulty was perfect.  Trey really shined in the ballady stuff, especially Velvet Sea. Maybe my favorite Velvet Sea I\'ve seen. Faulty plan rocked hard. Very Hard.

Encore: Sleeping Monkey > Tweezer Reprise, Tweezer Reprise[2]

During the 2nd Tweezer Reprise it occured to me that if Phish decided to do so, they could be the greatest metal band in the world. Outstanding.

On a personal note, as of Wednesday I had no ticket and didn\'t plan on going.  Thanks to Zuke, NickNels, and AshNels I would up with a lawn for less than face, a ride, and sitting in the Pavillion Sec 500 the entire show.  Win. Thanks guys!

16 hours of work> Pre-game>Phish> 3 hours sleep>8 more hours work (on time I might add)

Now I rest.

last night was a great fucking show!  ser biz Fee, Rift opener, funky ass wolfmans w/ page really shining. not familiar w/ summer of \'89 (my n00b is showing) but it got pretty grimey towards the end with Trey bringing some nice work. wicked pumped to get a foam although i was in the bathroom for the beginning :( Then more phunk was brought during moma dance. EPIC Reba!! The entire second set was hot and Theme was my personal highlight. cool goofy encore sleeping monkey singalong :)

Thursday was better overall imo.

Friday had a great first set, but outside of Hood, A good Tweezer and an abbreviated Halley\'s set 2 was a buzzkill.

I wasn\'t on the lawn, so i don\'t know what bdfree is talking about.  esther was well played, better than i had hoped for, never really excited about wanting to see it.  walk away ruled.  dwd> sand was great, as was the mike\'s groove.  and guyute, although they slipped up a couple parts, i\'ll take guyute always.  and they definitely didn\'t play contact.

ok 3 night run of phish for me. I\'d say the DWD and walk away, and the spac fluff, bathtub were the highlights of the shows. hoping great woods steps it up alittle.

I don\'t think I\'m ever going to spac again, unless I get killer seats and a close hotel. the cops just ruined the fun atmosphere of that venue

that sucks. what time did you get to the lot? where did you park? we showed up around 6 and didn\'t get searched at all and didn\'t even have to end up paying for parking. barely even got a pat down on the way in. super light security as far as i could tell

crikey... we had no issue at all walking around with beers in the lot at spac regardless of all of the hype about the police presence.

i only went friday and saturday. spac was hands down the better show in comparison to friday night in hartford for me. i was kind of disappointed with friday, but had a blast at the show and bdfree, i actually didn\'t mind the lawn at hartford at all. we were in a great spot and the sound was good. i was way more comfortable on the lawn in hartford than i was packed in the balcony at spac.

very glad i ran into some of you peeps and sad i missed out on seeing some of you...i was kind of a mess though, so it was probably for the best :yoshi:

I also only did Hartford II and SPAC I.

First off, I thoroughly enjoyed both shows.  I was fortunate to have a great crew with me for Friday and Saturday which really contributed to my enjoyment of the weekend.

Friday I was in the Pavillion.  Section 500 row JJ (Middle pav, right center). The Fee > Rift first set Friday really kicked up the energy.  2 songs you don\'t really hear too often in the 3.0 era.  It was my first Fee personally so I was lovining it.  Wolfman\'s came next which has been one of the most consistent songs in the last 2 years.  Not the most jammed out song, but usually about 10 minutes with some nice tight jamming without getting too far out there.  Great song to have in the first set...this version was no different!  I was really happy to get a Foam and Moma too!  I thought Julius was going to end the set, but they kept it going with Reba (which is one of my favorite phish songs) and capped it off with a nice cavern.

I really liked the second set too.  I won\'t break everything down, but I was happy to hear every song in that second set.  I remember the Tweezer being particularly great.  I love when they did that ambient finish to the song stretching it into Theme!  Encore was really cool too.  Really showed how much fun the guys were having on stage and the connection they have with the fans and the venue.  Trey banter is usually a good sign that you got or are getting a great show!  Oh yeah...I was very happy to get Sleeping Monkey!  Love that song!  Great crowd sing a long moment too

Saturday SPAC we didn\'t seem to encounter any of the problems many people had.  We stayed in a hotel about 10 miles north of SPAC.  We came down about 6:00pm and came in the back way on Route 50.  Very little to no traffic to speak of...got right in.  We parked at the VIP lot, but at this point they were letting people in for free and NO car search.  We were able to hang around comfortably in the lots for almost 2 hrs before easily getting in.

I was on the lawn for SPAC.  We were in the middle section 3/4 of the way up the lawn about 50 feet left of one of the walkways leading up to the balcony.  First set\'s setlist had some of my ideal set I Phish songs (save Sample).  Only complaint I really have is with Bathtub Gin.  They were really smokin\' at this point and when Gin started I was ready for a 20 minute rager, unfortunately that didn\'t happen.  After a slow start to the song, they really got it going in the last 3 or 4 minutes before settling into a nice groove.  Then just as they were launching into Type II territory Trey decided to pull it back and abruptly end it for a Suzy set closer.  It seemed really awkward.  Suzy was a fun way to close the set, especially on the lawn.  Easily the craziest glowstick war i\'ve seen since the band has come back.  Always fun to see!

Second set was alright, but might have been my least favorite of the four I saw that weekend.  Rock and Roll jam started off great, but again seemed abruptly ended to go into Free.  BDTNL was just a straight forward run through.  Halfway the moon was a great new song...and the jam out of it was really getting good.  Got really dark with heavy bass and synth and could have easily carried on for another 5-10 minutes which would have completely made the set, but again Trey chose to cut off another sweet jam for Prince Caspian...PRINCE FUCKING CASPIAN!!!  This was such a silly placement that I was laughing.  Here you are in arguably the best jam of the night and you force the rest of the band to kill it.  It sounded like Trey had to play the beginning chords 2 or 3 times before the rest of the band finally stopped that jam.  Ugh!  David Bowie was some nice redemption for me and I was very satisfied with the encore.

Overall I was very happy with both shows and they left me satisfied.  I am a little jealous after looking at the setlist from Sunday, but ultimately PHish left me feeling even better than when I last left them after MSG in December.  Even though Trey cut short a few well developing jams over both nights its clear that the band still has the potential to melt faces on a nightly basis.  Maybe it is just Trey\'s reluctance to get into that really dark territory with the music so soon, but once he is ready Phish is going to become that band again that will make you want to travel 6 hrs to a show!

So overall i would give the sets:

Hrtfrd 2 set I: B+
Hrtfrd 2 set II + E: A
SPAC 1 set I: B+/A-
SPAC 1 set II: B/B-

And FWIW...I don\'t think I will be able to see another show on the lawn in Hartford again.  I\'ve been spoiled the last 2 years by my pavillion seats!

These days, if I have good seats and my Phish crew there is a 90% chance I am going to enjoy the show.  5 or 6 years ago I might have been disappointed because I used to compare shows and its place in history.  I was chasing bust-outs and best evers.  Between Biscuits and Phish I probably ruined a few shows for myself that really weren\'t that bad.

When Phish went away I realized how lucky I was just to be going to shows in the first place (Phish or otherwise).  I think at that point I really started enjoying almost every show I have gone to (muscial excellence or not).

When I went to Arizona this point really hit home.  They just have a terrible music scene out there...let me rephrase that.  They have some talented musicians, but not many national touring acts coming through there and 1/100 of the music I am able to see in the suburbs of New York.

It would have been really difficult for me to hate on any of these shows because I was just enjoying myself too much.  So take my ratings with a grain of salt I guess...I rated them in the moment vs. comparing them to any other Phish (or any band) show.

don\'t be fooled! nicknels is a huge asshole!!! :)

i\'ve taken to this sort of attitude as well. enjoying the moment and the music for what it is and not for it\'s place in history makes for a more consistently enjoyable experience. being extremely fanatical and critical (for me) tends to lead to higher highs and lower lows

I don\'t think I\'ve ever walked out of a show without a smile on my face.  I\'m just happy to be there and happy that they\'re around.  Why would you want to pay for something only to repeatedly piss yourself off or let yourself down?  Very rarely do we have any impact on what they\'re gonna do.  So you might as well just enjoy the ride while its happening.  Or just don\'t go at all, and sit at home analyze the recordings, then you can be pissed off with out wasting all that money!

Absolutely. The Walrus and The Carpenter have owned the lots since Hershey. Tonight will be the last night for the dynamic duo and one that should not disappoint.

Still have a few Phish Starting 5 shirts and the Wilson Shirts will be reprisde as well as and our Limited Edition Boston Carini shirt will make an appearance tonight. I\'ll be alone slinging the Philidelphia Piper shirts at Camden.

I gotcha....this is from Nate himself taken from ebeans....looks like phish asked for one like this

From the list of concepts I submitted , the "impossible treehouse in the woods in the vain of my portland poster" was the one they liked best, as it related to the venue and was a homage to "great woods" before the comcast takeover.

I also wanted to continue the story/concept from portland, which is why it looks related to that one. That, and well, because I drew both of them and that\'s how I draw

Camden on Friday night was IMO the best show of the tour. Merriweather last night was the best the band played as a group. The funniest shows were Friday in Hartford and Saturday in SPAC which also happen to been phistoric. Worst shows of the tour, IMO, were Great Woods on Tuesday and Sunday at SPAC.

Not sure if I am going to make it up to CMAC tomorrow but it is a plan as I drove home from Merriweather opposite of my friends heading to N.C. and Atlanta, I said, why not? Taking a risk as I have noticed Tuesday shows can be worth skipping but I am officially chasing a Mule now and I\'ll be damned if I miss it when its played up North.

just finished listening to last night\'s show... holy crap, it was actually really really good! a true segue from dwd>c&p and quality playing throughout. yes, there were a couple bumps, but nothing that was really distracting! definitely the most consistent show yet!

i just listeened to most of the SB and the fluffhead is the best arrival segment IMO since 1994.  pure peak like i havent heard in a long time.

i totally agree. wowzers.

i listened to the first set from 6/27 and thought it was great.. the bathtub was fuckin awesome. and a meatstick to come? one of my absolute favorite rarities. ive quickly jumped back on board after feeling kind of worn out.

Made it up to NY for 10 straight and no Mule. Last Mule was Great Woods last year and it seems they might be saving it for the s0uthern w0oks.

If it wasn\'t for a friends wedding, I would have been heading to North Carolina or straight to Atlanta tonight, but its good to be back home even if only temporary.

Next up Telluride.

Have some lot shirts left over from the run which I will be uploading. Also, the Whaler Wilson shirts sold out a couple times but there are more being printed. Pics of shirts to come soon.

yes, that happened last night before the anthem.

We attempted to get shirts on stage in Camden. It fell a row or 2 short of the stage. In Merriweather, we hit Gordon\'s mic stand and it fell onto his pedals at encore break. Mike looked at the shirt for about 5 seconds and tossed it behind Trey\'s amp. Then, last evening, team w0ok, successfully got Trey to hold up the shirt, smile and take a pic.

Awesome little early summer tour for Team w0ok.

There might still be some available. They were going for $15 on the lots before Trey endorsed them.

Two members of the w0ok troop and I are leaving for Telluride on Thursday evening around 10pm-midnight. Need to be at Red Rocks by Saturday for Pretty Lights. Taking the northern route through NY, PA, OH, IN, IL, IA, NE, CO. Roughly about 30 hours straight through. Any one heading out to Telluride or PL from that area. We should be heading back through Deer Creek on the way home.

Have some Checkin\'em Out(100 printed), Icculus on old school nuggets logo(144 printed), boston carini, philly pipers, starting 5 and Hartford Whalers shirts (60 printed) for this leg of the tour.

To hell you ride. Put those two days in the phistory books. Absolutely the most beautiful place Phish has every played. That place ia the real Gamehenge. Nothing I can say or tell or show will ever replicate the feeling and experience of having the sun set behind the mountain and you are left tucked in behind the mountain in the dark with Phish. It was by far the most special and darkest Phish experience in all of my years and shows. Driving through the night to Deer Creek.  In Missouri now. Tee shirt link to be up today when we park.

Thanks, homie. Cried a little when they did it. Turned to Cody and said, "if they don\'t play, Scent of a Ghost or The Story of the Mule" then I was out of there. This took place as What\'s The Use? was ending. Sure enough, they dropped into it. Funny thing was, that I forgot what it sounded like until they dropped it.

Not sure what else I need or want to see but I am happy to be back on the east coast even if for only a while.

you are bummed.  listened to the first set this morning and it\'s tight.  looking forward to set 2 this afternoon, for what Mr. Minor explained:  "...one listen with headphones and closed eyes to know that. “Disease > What’s The Use” is a seminal piece of modern psychedelia..."

having not listened to any phish from this run, if I was to pick ONE of the shows available in the above link which would you all recommend?

Listened to all 3 berks, and being at T-ride, and Deer Creek, I\'d say of those 7 Deer Creek 2 was my favorite.  Not a lot of jamming, but rocking great energy.  If you\'re looking for more improv, DC1 would be the way to go, have yet to listen to either Alpine though, so I can\'t speak for them.

wasn\'t a huge fan of DC1, (first set was very weak), but it has some very strange song placements, and set 2 was good. Encore was overrated, but I bet if you were there it would have been sweet

anybody have a working link to alpine n1?

megaupload of JB1 was giving me issues -- it is on the mediafire list

----
wow... what a blast last night... a lot of repeats from the Greek run... a few were better there, a few here.
set 1
fluffhead was a great warm up... nothing ground breaking
funky bitch really got the night rolling and straight through to possom straight rocked - or was super funky - which ever you would guess for the song!
wolfmans, walkaway and wilson were the first set big winners for me.
set II - this is where the real highlights lived...
Lengthwise!!!! really!!??!? nice!!!
> Maze. opening had mike pounding the bass and it went from there...
haley\'s --- i would rather it not be a 4.2 show type of song but a really big 12 - 16.  i hope they stick it on a shelf and don\'t let that song become a throw away.
> mike\'s was fun, fairly standard
> simple went out there.  they got weird from here!!!
> # Line   i can here where this would work amazingly... and for the most part it did, except that the first minute or so of this song is the biggest buzz kill ever.  they don\'t play it with chutzpah and it just lets the energy drop from the room -  that said i love the rest of the song, the jam went right back into the conversation and it fit great.
> Caspian   i like how they went with something very different in the mikes simple backwards down the prince rock n roll groove.  it was good, fit well, exploratory, but at this point i think i needed water from dancing too hard... which is good b/c
Rock & Roll > Weekapaug  were big and very funky.
> loving cup was a solid rock show finish.
encore....
show of life --- i like the song, i like where it goes... it is a set opener, not an encore on a pure energy night.  like #line getting to the song lets the energy out of the room.  jam was solid
golgi as always was a raging dance party finish.  perfect.  love this tune

this was a very fun show! set ii had much better segues than what i expect from phish.  it is really nice to see how they progress in terms of re-gelling as a band from the start of a leg to the end. they are def getting there.  they will benefit from both a  fall tour and a winter tour.  the energy kept inside a room will be explosive!

can\'t wait for tonight!

huh....i thought the Mike\'s was the highlight of the 2nd set (for me of course), it was flub-free and full of energy...like it should be.

and maybe it was just me but I swear i heard maze quotes coming out of Backwards...i know it said Trey teased Norwegian Wood off key but listening to the live stream....it sounded like Page and Mike and Fish were about to go back into Maze....and IMO they fucking should have. That\'s what I fell in love with 16 years ago...a band that would do anything at anytime and NOT give a shit!!! listen to 7/2/95 Lizards->BBFCFM for just 1 example. I\'m not complaining....just wishing that they could find that spark that truly set them apart from any other band on the planet. and to me, it was ALL about bringin\' the funny :)

Best practice with these things are to d/l shows ASAP b/c they usually get taken down pretty quickly.

Right now its contact me. I\'m working on moving my shirts into our ebay store so it can be accessed anywhere. I\'ll work on it today and see if I can\'t get a more public forum.

The only thing I believe with ebay is the price might be higher. Can\'t remember we test run one on tour.

Ticket results?

4-for-4: Providence, Amherst X2, Halloween!

I was due after going 4-for-24 since the comeback.  Actually I was really 0-for-24 because the only hits being Hartford and SPAC lawns which were worth less than face and I sold them to .infoers at a markdown.

So...how did everyone make out with lottery tickets and the on sale date?

What did you get?
What extras are available?
What trades are you looking for?

For me:
- I got only 1 ticket on the general on sale date: Amhearst N1 GA Floor!
- No lottery request
- I think this is the only show i\'m doing...not looking for trades.  I\'m going to try to hit one of the MSG NYE run shows

Also...what is everyone\'s guess for the Halloween cover album?

My guess: Led Zeppelin Physical Graffitti...seems to be the popular choice.  All the Halloween covers have been from big time bands and I think "The Rover" from Camden was a clue

Need to be honest here. Think that these albums from 40 years ago although influential are not influencing this band today. I believe Exile was closure to that band we once knew. I would be more impressed with Phish if they chose an album that they are currently listening to and influencing them than the musicians who once influenced them. That is why some of the covers they played were more from today then yesterday. Rather hear something like Rage Against The Machine then almost any classic rock album even if I love Led Zepplin.

I totally agree with sprocket with the sense that exile was closure.  Im calling an entirely new approach to halloween.  Whether it be an overall theme or something that works into all three nights.  Something in my gut\'s telling me no album cover this year, and I\'m gonna be super pisssed to be missing it

Agree totally.  After covering The Beatles, The Who, Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, Velvet Underground, and The Rolling Stones...Led Zeppelin is the obvious choice.  Which is exactly why they won\'t be covering them.

If there is an album cover, I still think it will be something from the 60\'s or 70\'s.  I don\'t think they\'re comfortable covering anybody who has worked the same era as them, be it Rage, RHCP, Pavement etc.  Maybe they\'ll switch it up by covering an old album that isn\'t classic rock; Miles Davis or Frank Zappa or something like that.

I agree there\'s a decent chance that there won\'t be an album cover at all.  I think they\'ll still do some sort of theme though.  Like maybe get a horn section out and do all of the greatest funk classics.  Whatever it is, I\'m sure it will be a great show.

Hey everyone...

Just read this post on PT and thought it was a very good analysis of PHish 3.0.  Thought it was worth reposting:

Quote
Everything organizationally about Phish 3.0 has been about cutting the fat out...no more backstage drug den, no more micromanaging with the band laboring over every little management decision and hiring a new management team and streamlining it, no more stretched out long tours away from family for months and leading to burn out; instead little bursts of tours that are organized in such a way that sort of discourages the tour rattery of old; and so I think this "cut the fat out" mentality bled over to the creative aspects of the band too.

They only really jam when they really feel it, they purposefully started out by going back to the early 90\'s style of short, concise jams, song heavy sets where they started to fold back almost all of the repertoire back into the rotation and almost any song from the catalog could be played(FUCK YOUR FACE!!!), and when they did jam, it was because they were truly feeling it, and they cut down on the directionless noodling...I also think Trey\'s ego getting in the way has helped give Gordon the creative confidence to take over jams and play his bass loud and proud...I think Fishman has improved dramatically since \'09, and Page is still the same solid support that he\'s always been musically, with occasional flashes of leadership too.

Trey\'s new guitar I think worked out the whale heavy kinks that some found offensive in the first half of the summer, and I think that led to some truly beautiful moments(Greek Simple/Light, JB1 Backwards jam, DWD->WTU, etc.), and I think the future of this band is really promising.

And I LOVE fall arena tours, and I think this one is extra special considering they are playing more intimate than normal sheds that they\'ve never played before.

I don\'t know, I kind of love the slow evolution of Phish 3.0, and how they\'re not really forcing anything, and think their organization is much more sustainable and in it for the long haul, and they\'ve managed to structure their music and group in a way that will continue to evolve and have a very promising future of a band whose previous mistakes could have led them down a path of tragic rock cliche, but have a new lease on life personally and musically.

If nothing else the comment certainly comprises some refreshingly well-articulated Phish analysis emerging from the shitstorm that is PT.  I agree with the main idea that Phish\'s "less is more" approach seems to be beneficial in most cases.

Some good points (read: I agree):
- They only jam when they feel like it
- The tours discourage tour rats
- Discouraging tour rats is good
- Trey\'s new guitar
- Overall things are trending the right way

Some bad points (read: I disagree, or they\'re just silly.)
- Fishman has improved dramatically in the past year. (He\'s the same drummer he\'s always been. Did he suddenly start practicing 5 hours a day and suddenly there\'s some noticeable change in his play? No.)
- Streamlined management (I\'m skeptical that the reader has any idea.)

Thanks for reposting, good post!

My pair of mail-order Halloween tickets is ON THE TRADING BLOCK (!!!) for some package of NYE run tickets.  It will depend what I get for NYE run.  I am gunning for all 5 shows right now.  Stay tuned for details and start thinking about trades!

Isn\'t a 1/1 show going to be kind of anti-climatic after a 3 set NYE show?

@ Wolfman: I like it.  Very aggressive.  If you hit some of the msg shows hopefully we will get a chance to chill briefly

@ Yoda: The 1/1 show is going to be something special.  I doubt they would schedule it if they are just going to mail it in, besides NYE itself usually isn\'t the best show of the run anyway.

Considering it\'s 1.1 and most casual fans aren\'t going to be down for a big show the night after NYE, i expect for a lot of hardcore phish heads to be in attendance.

Maybe a gamehendge on a laid back night?

wow. this announcement and the carmelo trade rumors on the same day? maybe if we get a few more parties involved we can get a four-team trade going also. you have any interest in "future considerations?" maybe some unprotected draft picks?

Like Kevin Garnett: ANYTHING IS POSSIBLLLLLLLLLLLLE!

@Yoda: I kind of agree insofar as that was my first inclination.  But I think they\'ll do something special to counter the letdown factor.  Maybe an acoustic set, maybe 3 sets again, maybe they\'ll cover an album or do some sort of concept set, or maybe they\'ll have a truly special guest.  (Still hoping they get Robert Plant on vox for some Zeppelin tunes someday before he croaks.)  It\'s still an MSG show and it\'s still the NYE run and of all 1400+ shows they\'ve ever played, they have NEVER played on New Year\'s Day!

PTBM Tickets:

Broomfield has a Llama and a quote from the song.

Chucktown has the mocking bird and says \'Fly Famous Mockingbird\'

add this to the lack to Phish\'s information regarding the musical costume leads me to wonder:

Is this the return of Gamehenge on Halloween???

another great post from PT:

the thread was titled: "WHY CANT NOOBS HANDLE THE TRUTH ABOUT PH"

Quote
ISH? Like Jack Nicholson said, " you can\'t handle the truth." Phish is a shell of their former selves. 2000 was the last year you still felt Phish was creating something special even though they were walking down from the peak they climbed. Now they have created an awful album in Joy/Party Time, and just go through the motions on stage. I know the fluffers who cant handle the truth will tell me I am wrong, but I dont fault you. You have never experienced the Phish which when the history books come out will only focus on the 90s with a blurb about 2009 on. The vets that will disagree with me, you are just there for the party and to relive your youth. Nothing wrong with that, but sit here and say they are playing the best you have seen and that their new songs are great..once again you cant handle the truth.

thought this was a great response:

Quote
the noobs like me dont give a fuck.

you are one of those people that missed jerry and the GDs great days, and is still pissed about it.

every single person EVER IN THIS MUSIC HISTORY OF SHOWS HOPS ON THE BOAT TOO LATE.
in 1974, people bitched about not seeing pigpen and the 70-71 raw shit. in 70-71 heads bitched about not being at the acid tests.
After the GD hiatus, people were like OMG FUCK THE NEW DISCO DEAD and terrapin, estimated, etc.
Then in 80, people were mad they missed keith and donna shows. Brent rocked, yes, but everyone was like "Oh man shit we missed the 70s." Then the late 80s kids came in, and people called them "touchheads." These new kids missed the traveling circus of mid-80s dead, and made the scene blow up to maximum capacity, and definitely hurt the scene at times. The people who GAVE \'touch heads\' this name were kids who got on the bus in the early 80s and wanted to furthur distance themselves from newcomers. And viola! By the 90s, everyone was pissed. So then there was Phish. And I GUARANTEE PEOPLE TALKED ABOUT HOW GOOD EARLY PRE-95 PHISH WAS BEFORE THEY GOT HUGE. Then, bam.. hiatus. FUCK I MISSED 90s PHISH!!! EVEN THAT 98 SHIT!!! :(((

how do i know this? my dad was seeing the GD in 71. My mother saw them in the disco years, and on. countless adults have talked to me about this, including a certain administrative figure at a school i go to who saw phish in the 80s.

Guess what, I missed every single year of Jerry\'s life. I missed all of 90s phish. I even missed everything up until 2009. And that goes for other bands too.

but i dont care. i got into this music as early as i could and i know what it is, and what it does. i can handle the truth , it seems like you are still mad about something.

nick nels,
that kids response is fucking classic. esp since i was talking to several older dudes, and they were saying how they all were NOT into it when mid-90s phish started \'getting all out-there,\' and how he was real pumped when they started \'really jamming rock n roll\' in 09.
my first phish show was IT. so fuck everyone, i think i\'m the only kid who sees 6 shows in a row and is dead sober every night, shaking my taint off. tell me i dont know when the band is good, i fucking dare you

Here\'s the thing I wonder: Are all the PT\'ers who make posts like the first post still going to shows?  I\'m glad people think like the first poster does, because if that keeps them away from shows then great.  Tickets are hard enough to get sometimes.

Going against the Gamehendge ticket theory, the 10/31\'s are Dog Faced boy.  Not Gamehendge.

The Gamehenge theory is stupid. Why would Phish tell all those in attendance to imagine trees and mountains inside of a casino ballroom. They failed at the opportunity to present Gamehenge in the closest venue to Gamehenge ever and decide to play 2 shows that really were just Phish. Personally, I\'d like to see this band bust out Casino over 3 nights and do A.C. gangsta style. Maybe not but come on, these dudes are 45 and why should they play yesterday when they have today and tomorrow.

bullshit.

watching an aging band play classic rock covers is sad and pathetic. its like watching Foghat play slow ride. Thats really better then the band playing something that would be more of a challenege and something that they are listening to and being influenced by today then say when they were 18?

got a possum on one, and a llama on the other... i don\'t remember which shows they were for but its either provy or n2 of amherst. i\'ve heard theres a mockingbird on another show...has anybody seen anything else? all of the animals i\'ve heard of so far are all directly related to gamehendge.

on a side note... pretty sure i landed 1/1 tix.  think i\'m more excited about that than if i had landed nye tix! i\'m not sure why but i hope something unexpected or out of the ordinary occurs.

Maybe they\'ll take the stage for set II with some sort of giant slot machine on stage with them.  Trey says, "OK, we\'ve got 5 albums in the slot machine.  We\'ve rehearsed all of them, but we need to spin to see which one we play.  So as of right now even WE don\'t know what the Halloween cover is!"  Then they spin, and play whatever album comes up.

If this were the scenario, what 5 albums would you most want to see in the slot machine?

1.  Radiohead - OK Computer
2.  Led Zep - Houses of the Holy
3.  Pink Floyd - Animals
4.  Beck - The Information
5.  Gamhendge

#1 would be awesome, but too depressing (or intensely mellow, just not well suited for a rager, is what I mean)
#2 would be cool, but limited in potential (in my current state of opinion)
#3 would require 90\'s phish, or an equivalent amount of psychedelics
#4 would be same as #2
#5 I assume this is what phans would most likely want to hear, but I am unfamiliar with it.  Heard it\'s like when the Breakfast played Vortex?

there is:

mockingbird
llama
camel
ocelot
possum
ship (pyite)
sloth
dog face boy

I don\'t really know if this says anything...

Personally, i think if they play gamehendge it won\'t be on Halloween.  1/1 is a show that makes much more sense for gamehendge.

In fact, there is almost ZERO chance they would play a narration to end a tour in Atlantic City.  It makes no sense.  It\'s going to be a rockin\' crowd...no one is going to want to sit and listen to trey

Nothing like TB playing Vortex.  Realize that Vortex has grown a life of its own.  When it was originally played back in \'01 (http://www.archive.org/details/pb2001-06-14.flac16), it was an improv jam that played essentially because there was like 5 people at the show.  Vortex Pt. 2 was played in MS and there\'s no recording and Vortex Pt.3 was really a space jam (http://www.archive.org/details/breakfast2007-11-30.483.flac16)... I wouldn\'t call that anywhere close to Gamehenge other than in TB lore...

there\'s a parking garage right next door, but if you circle around downtown prov for a little while i\'m sure you\'ll find some spots.

some close places to pregame are the trinity brewhouse, fatty mcgee\'s or murphy\'s.  i usually go to murphy\'s before lupo\'s shows.

generally 45 mins to an hour after printed ticket time.  Considering it\'s on a Friday night, they are going to give some consideration to late arriving fans.

If I had to guess I would say 8:30 on stage time...that being said, I wouldn\'t want to be inside any later than 8:15

was i the only one at utica last night?

great show, amazing segues/endless teases, 1995 style type-2 jamming.  no whale calling.  the one main thing it lacked was the big peaks, which disappointed me a little.  Par example...treys playing in antelope early-mid in the jam was fucking amazing, i was totally locked in an d the whole band was perfectly in sync, but they just failed to really blow the roof off the place at the end of the jam.  same deal with the bowie.  and the best segue of the whole show was in the second set when they did the SOAM thing into have mercy, into birds of a feather jam again! (even though they already played it), into something else, back into SOAM...the execution was perfect, but they just didnt blow the place up at the end of SOAM like i hoped they would have, it just kinda lingered and ended.

overall id give the show a 7.5/10...loved the song selection, loved the jamming/segues/teasing, but i took off a solid 2.5 points because they lacked the thing that IMO makes phish phish, and that is the epic peaks which make my hairs stand up.

great venue, there wasnt a bad seat i the house.

totally psyched for 2 nights @ zoomass , I expect it\'s gonna be epic

fall/winter just kicks summer in the butt when it comes to phish, no surprise i guess.

anybody have an extra Umass night 1 stub? I had box seats for that night and good ol Umass never set them up on the east side, so instead they said we could go on the overly crowded floor or they would try and find us seats together somewhere else. We ended up with killer seats, but they took our ticket stub. Not interested in the download, just a stub if somebody has an extra. thanks

alternate 10/31/10

http://hotfile.com/dl/79754916/ecdfb48/2010.10.31_-__Boardwalk_Hall__Atlantic_City_NJ.zip.html

I was really happy to be able to listen to the stream last night.  Had the football game on w/ the volume off and the stream on full blast.  There were a few hiccups along the way, but for the most part the stream was clear and the quality was excellent.

Costume set sounded tight.  Little Feat are obviously a big influence on the band and they genuinely seemed excited to be doing it.  I would prefer that they nail something like this that I was unfamiliar with rather than butcher an album I hold dear to my heart.

I also want to say that the Stash and Jiboo were next level stuff.  The jams they put together on both of these are my kind of Phish.  If this is any indication of what they have in store for the future then sign me up!

Costume set was lots of fun. this was an album i actually do hold near and dear to my heart and i was nervous that they\'d train wreck the hell out of it. Waiting for Columbus is an album i got into at around the same time i was getting really into phish. I have always thought that page sounded a lot like Bill Payne and wen i used to listen to this album i always pictured phish playing these tunes, esp \'times loves a hero >day or night\'. (this was before i knew that phish played time loves a hero) The songs fit phish\'s style so well, in my opinion, and yea, they fucking nailed it. prob my favorite costume so far after Remain in Light

Here\'s a link to taper420\'s media fire page http://www.mediafire.com/taper420#0,1 ... he\'s the kat who streamed most of the fall shows this tour. They\'re all audience recordings so it\'s a 100% legal. He\'s only uploaded 10/20 so far... so just check it periodically for the others.

And here\'s the Phish etree link for 2010 flac files (also 100% legal) http://db.etree.org/bs_d.php?artist_key=4 ... enjoy :)

I should also mention (which I\'m sure most of you already know) that posting/downloading the SBD links is HIGHLY frowned upon in most (I doubt PT\'ers care) Phish circles... especially the tapers, so if you\'re logged into the Hoodstream don\'t post them or you\'ll get banned.

It\'s up to the individual (of course) regarding what to download/post and what not to... but IMO, the aud recordings are pretty damn good nowadays so I really don\'t have an excuse for downloading the boards. I respect the opinions on both sides of the argument and for me it boils down to this... if this were The Breakfasts policy I would hope that people would respect their right to keep SBD recordings for purchase only... if that\'s what they chose to do.

Does phish need the money? Probably not... but it\'s their choice on the matter, not mine :) And like I said, it\'s totally personal preference on what you deem to be right or wrong on the matter. I just figured I\'d give an alternative option for those who have a conscience, lol!!! just kidding, just kidding ;)

12/30 easily blew away both Worcester shows...after just 2 songs.

NTD

What does NTD mean?

I searched the internet dictionaries and got:

-Now That\'s Dick
-Niggas These Days
-Nothing To Do

However, none of these responses seem to fit the context of this conversation.  Please clarify, thanks!
