BDFreeOuch.  I was looking for the purple glasses all night as I recalled you buying in advance.

Fun night - just wish the boat could have stayed out till 1am.

Very nice to see all you people and meet some new ones.

As for the UMelt talk - definitely exaggerated as they sounded good to me.  What was the MJ jam they did for the last song?

I was asking about Umelt.  They jammed an MJ tune for their last song.  Pretty sure it was Thriller.

That\'s it. If you bought tix online in advance for $31, that\'s $10.33 per song. If that\'s not the all time record for cost-per-song then it\'s definitely top 5.

1 hour set, avg. 20 minutes per song. Yeahhhhhhhh. Crispy. The Indobox kid was really good on lights too. Good stuff. No tapes.

As for heckling U-Melt...I hate to say it...you\'re not gonna believe this...we got totally beaten at our own game. One of U-Melt\'s fans must have caught word of our plan, because 15 minutes into The Breakfast\'s set, some dude pulled down his pants and took a shit right in the middle of the dance floor. It sent everyone bolting for the deck. The Breakfast was left playing in front of nothing but a smoldering turd. It was the most incredible thing I have ever seen. There was no way to respond to that when U-Melt was on. We got pwn3d.

Guy knew what he was doing.... right before he did it, he shouted, "Hey Breakfast, I\'ve got a bona fide deuce for you!"  Perfect comment.  On top of that he got away clean, because what are they gonna do, kick him out?  This guy was a pro.  Our ragtag bunch of loyalists were no match for this well-trained, well-researched heckling assassin.  I haven\'t been smoked like that at anything since the last time I played chess against the chess geeks in Harvard Square.

Yea sucked gettin\' Gav\'dogged by the streetz of Boston.

alexanderzurflu too bad man would have been nice to finally meet you.

Oh well I can\'t say I\'m too dissapointed considering they played 4 songs and I was sayin on the way up there if they play Mayfly theres no way its gonna top Strange Creek,

If they played Eppy 2 + Puppetry I\'d prob still be heated ;)

Also btw I was sort of looking forward to U-Melt. All this cross-fanbase nannies are kinda immature if its for real.. we should be showin some love and support in hopes for the same in return.

Later on in between bands, Al Z saw the guy standing up against the rail on the side of the ship.  Since the boat was adrift at the time, Al Z asked me if it wouldn\'t be too dangerous for us to ambush him and throw him overboard.  It was only about a 6 foot drop to the water, so I agreed it would be safe.  Before I could even start making my way towards the guy, Al just sauntered right over, grabbed him around the waist, and dumped the guy overboard.  After getting his bearings for a moment he climbed right back up no problem.  The guy just started laughing and from one assassin to another offered Al a truce-like handshake.  Al accepted.  It seemed fair enough that the guy had to suffer the humiliation of being thrown overboard in front of his friends and he had to be soaked for the rest of the night.  We then packed a peace pipe and smoked him up.  By the time we finished the bowl U-Melt was already on, so we all went in and jammed out to U-Melt and everyone lived happily ever after.

The End.

There are no cross fanbase nannies at all.  There are only Wolfnannies.  U-Melt fans enjoyed The Breakfast and Breakfast fans enjoyed U-Melt.  U-Melt rocked.  I would stop any Breakfast fan who heckled another band at a Breakfast show.  I hope you had as much fun reading all of my heckling ideas and stories as I did writing them.  Someday if heckling bands becomes kosher we\'ll have to try some of this stuff.  Ciao!

not possible without immediately getting the shit kicked out of him by venue personnel and arrested upon departure.

For the record. U-melt was merely OK. There skills were far from that of the breakfast and the bassist was playing a four string. I think Caitlin Kalafus\'s sister plays the bass better. The vocals were weak and i couldn\'t get over how big of a douche the keys guy looked. U-melt looked like a gathering of nerds looking to make cool music, without knowing what the definition of cool is. Not to mention the majority of u-melt fans preferred to stand out back by the engine fumes smoking endless amounts of cigarettes instead of listening to some epic breakfast. Lastly i have never been to a breakfast show and smelt someones BM that bad. Obviously a u-melt fan in need of a good shower or a diaper change. U-melt clearly should have been the opener.

question: were there more breakfast fans there than u-melt fans?

that\'s really the only way to determine who "should" be the opener.

and i\'m not sure how playing a four-string bass is a bad thing. i know a couple guys named flea and victor wooten that play four-strings. they seem like they know what they\'re doing.

No matter what you think of U-Melt and their music, they\'re doing something right...  Do I think that TB should have headlined, yes, but it is what it is... At least they were on the bill...

no.  there wasn\'t.  that being said, i\'m sure if the breakfast were closing there would\'ve been more of us, i can understand how people wouldn\'t wanna pay $25 for an opening set.  plus absolutely 0 .infoers from CT(actually, ericincognito was there, but i don\'t consider him a dot infoer for some crazy reason) showed up, which for a Boston show is pretty unusual.  bdfree got lost in boston, so thats another no show, and gavin is a giant homo.  that being said it was prob. 40/60(breakfast to umelt), or 20/30/50(breakfast/umelt/people who enjoy more than 1 band).  either way both bands fanbases could\'ve jammed a few more heads in there.

There were certainly more u-melt fans as far as i could see and their fan base is out of NY. I made the two hour drive from new hampshire. Where was the CT bandwagon? I dont even think i saw the tickler. If the boat stayed out until 1am and the breakfast got more then an hour i would have been much happier. But i can\'t complain whenever i get to see TB play. but that smell was awful. That\'s what happens when you are surrounded by Yankees fans who enjoy miller lite and sub par music.
