Anthony Braxton is a professor at Wesleyan.  I took a class "Coltrane, Mingus, and Coleman" with him.  Genius/out there type guy, lots of fun.  His music is very experimental and strange, a lot of times with mathematical structures and pictures or maps for the composition rather than traditional scores.

it all depends on what you call jazz in terms of what i like/dont like.  for example...if you consider MMSW or soulive or schleigho or return to forever jazz (which some do), i love that shit.  i dont like old school charlie parker, miles davis, etc.
