Back to topic, I thought Frankzappa\'s crticism was an interesting one, how MV is a decent song that carries a great jam while OE and others are actually insane songs that also carry huge jams. MV does carry a lot of raw emotion compared to most Breakfast songs though.

Bottom line is these two songs are in the finals for a reason. They are both as solid as my patella straight through. Great "songs" with Great "jams" that have consistently put me in another place from the first listen to my last. This trend will continue forever, because they\'re masterpieces IMO. Go BREAKFAST Go Go.

Phish played an epic Drowned on 12/12/99, not Rock And Roll. Why do you even listen to "jambands" if you can\'t take the jam? For me that\'s the most exciting part of any song. It\'s musical birth: sometimes you get an ugly baby, other times a meh baby, but it\'s all worth it in the end for that blond haired, blue eyed gem. (SEE Great Went Gin, Breakfast 1/26/01 Rufus>Mooboo\'s, Bisco 10/20/00 Very Moon>Bernstein Chasnoff).

What!? Straight up shenanigans. At about 13-14 minutes I have a throbbing bone-diggety but am still patient to burst whenever they decide to. 9.20.07 says it all. The jam builds, climaxes gloriously, and I realize this is exactly why I listen to The Breakfast. You either need Viagra, sir, or you\'re walking around with a terrible case of jam-band-blue-balls. Or probably more painful -- Breakfast-blue-balls. You\'ve just denounced perhaps their greatest strength Yoda.

You\'re right, it was Drowned, I was mistaken about the song and I enjoyed the version when I was sitting in the rafters listening to it unfold with Nikki and Paul.
I enjoy jamband music, but in my opinion sometimes jambands try and do too much and try jam a song to death. I\'m not saying they TB does that with OE, I\'m saying that somtimes I\'m listening and I\'m wondering when the jam portion of the song will be over. It has more to do with the song because I have always had the same problem with Garcian, but never with Buquebus. Some songs, I just like the composed portion a lot better than the jam. "In my opinion" not every song needs to be pushed to it\'s limits. Imagine if the Dead jammed out Me and My Uncle for 40+ minutes - I personally wouldn\'t find that too entertaining. I admit, there are times when I can\'t take jamming and that\'s when I listen to something a little more pop like Springsteen, The Doors, The Who or Clapton.
But getting back to the heart of it, isn\'t this site for people to state their opinions. I don\'t have to agree with the masses on everything. You can appreciate that, no?

If I was on my death-bed and these were the only two tracks someone beside me had in their pocket and asked, "Which one Cheesecake?" I\'d probably say Mooboo\'s. But this tourney is supposed to breathe and change, it\'d be pointless to not vote within the context of where the songs sit today. In your case I feel like a World Cup format is more ideal. But it\'s yearly. This is the 2007 TOT. So stop whining, OE has had a wonderful year, it\'s hot right now. It\'s Golden State in last year\'s Playoffs while Mooboo\'s is Dallas. See that\'s what I\'m saying I understand it\'s yearly but the band has new songs each year also which changes the seedings and such. So such as myself vote on that year\'s current batch of songs given to listen to and vote for. Not on which is hotter but which is overall better. Opinions change over the years yes and some may think OE is truly better and if they think it is the better song great but to think a song is better and then not vote for it throws out any reasoning for seeds in the first place.
