Went to Dodger Stadium(shudder) last night to see The Police.
The Foo Fighters were incredible as an opening act. I had never seen them and man have I missed out!
Awesome live. Dave ran out into the crowd and climbed speaker stacks in the back of the Stadium and played from there for a bit. He climbed the stacks because security stopped him from jumping the bike rack barricade surrounding the Diamond. Man they were just incredible.

Well the crowd in our section were fairly lame old fucks and we were the only ones in our entire section that got up when The Police came on. I usually don\'t drink but I was 3 Margaritas in when they started plus the 6-7 boules between the 3 of us so I have vary vague memories of this show. We were pretty far up but the sound did not suffer and the lighting was pretty damn good. I had a blast, yeah it was basically a greatest hits show but with so many damn fine songs who cares. They showed no signs of age in the music other than some modest vocal changes to account for.
I left this show knowing 2 things for sure.
1. The Police still kick extreme ass live
2. The Breakfast should never play MIAB again.

Lucky for you, the Foo Fighters opened. We had a couple boring opening bands to snooze through.

The Dave Grohl antics and the Everlong thing sound a lot like the show I went to (though I saw them as a headliner, so they played longer). I also got Roger Taylor from Queen sitting in on "Tie Your Mother Down" for an encore.
I\'m glad to hear that The Police are still rocking the house despite their bitching this tour.

Sting\'s voice sounded great and I enjoyed the drawn-out arrangements (to the dismay of a majority who wanted to hear each tune exactly as released on the albums).

I love when bands do that and I hate when a crowd doesn\'t know how to enjoy it! :sigh:

Foo Fighters kick major ass, and yes no more MIAB!

i\'m hoping for a 15 min. MIAB on the Island!!!!

We were practically hearing crickets in a 50,000-seat stadium every time a song strayed from the radio version.
double sigh: :sigh::sigh:
Foo Fighters kick major ass!
I\'ve been fortunate to see them a number of times over the years (opening for Chili Peppers in 2000, in a small auditorium when they first came on the scene in the 90s etc.). One of the few mainstream rock bands still churning out hits that I would actually go and see.

:that: :lol: I love that song & the breakfast plays it well. It always gets the crowd moving & singing along (which is great for newbs who don\'t know bfast tunes). I dunno why y\'all have no love for MIAB :shrug:

because its a very poor choice of a cover. There are so many great tunes out there to play and MIAB is not a good choice for the Breakfast, IMHO.
