Same boat as last time.
i should note that\'s an unconfirmed assumption on my part..
-
damn. might miss this one. can\'t call out the day after a holiday and I am sure that this day is already booked for vacations days.
-
fuck i think i have to miss this one too. i think ill be in europe at this point. move it to august!!
-
other than Phil as managment this is the best news I\'ve heard in awhile, love the boat cruises. Can\'t wait.

no way it was awesome last time.... as the boat would rock back and forth it was kind of going with the beat and i can\'t remember what song it was but Tim had some insane sound going on the synth while the boat was rocking..... one of those moments that make you stand there with a big goofy smile on your face.... floating away. and it ends up being an early night to, i think i might have driven home last time... yup i did
-
woot woot!! this is shapin up to be a serious couple of weeks in the summer, seein as how this is the weekend after captain nicks>wheelhouse
-
Tim Palms confirmed the last Rocks Off Cruise as the "worst load-in ever". Such a pain in the ass to load onto the boat (though helping got me on the guest list, which is huge for a $25 show).
-
i remember that load in.... my back was hurt\'n the rest of the night. Dobs is a big guy i hope Chadwick has been eating his wheaties
-
no way it was awesome last time.... as the boat would rock back and forth it was kind of going with the beat
I witnessed Adrian almost falling forward and kissing his drum set with his jib.
-
Definately saw Gavin almost get tossed overboard......
the water was angry that night.
-
The sea was angry that night, my friends......like an old man trying to return soup at the deli............(Whineberg).
-
what a good time. magical, i say

ahh, the memories of the last one!!!
-
Seeing Todd with a Bud Light in his hand is very odd.
-
Notice I look relatively sober...
-
Well those things are fucking impossible to get drunk off of. I\'d have to drink like twenty of the damn things.
Actually, that is probably my problem. I was a little concerned by the fact that after 4 (tall) vodka sodas, 4 shots of Jager and one Sierra last night I was still sober as can be. That\'s probably not good.
Granted, the situation was remedied during after hours.
-
i put lots of pictures in the gallery from the last one - http://www.thebreakfast.info/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=633

That is definately a nioce looking summer, and it practically just started.
-
pretty sure ill be there. bisco 20 minutes from home on 7/3, veg out at home and get trashed on the 4th, work on hte 5th>drive to manhattan for a rocking boat ride. me likes the look of next week.
-
Any chance someone could drive me and maybe one other person from CT into NYC? I hate driving in New York. It\'s too logical; I\'m used to Boston.
-
If you get down here early enough you could hop in with us.
-
Reporting from my hotel room in amsterdam right now. Just listening to the cuse show from 4/20 (my last show) and felt obliged to post my excitement about the boat show.
Just left dublin, now in amsterdam, and heading to barcelona, coming back on tuesday. Two day rest and bfast on thur night, can\'t wait. Its been one of my favorite nights each summer the past 2 years, hope to see you all there...
...Would kill for a sundance

Anybody know about what time the boat hits the dock after the show? Thinking about a train ride in.

I didn\'t expect this to get out early enough for the train to even be an option. Very good. Won\'t be on the board much between now and then, I\'ll pm my cell. Thanks.

i would think so, but i still need to talk to mr. hat, helluva. need to weigh all my options with work and whatnot. i suppose it would make the most sense for me to take the train to work and just go stamford > nyc after work.. either that, or drive to work, train stamford > nyc > stamford, then drive home, but i don\'t think i wanna do that..
-
Wow! I didn\'t realize this finished so early and that Metro North was an option. This changes everything.
-
Hopping on the 3:45 in Darien

i\'m totally going on assumption here, but my assumption is that this thing pulls in around 11. perhaps one of the boat vets could shed some more light..

nm...
The Temptress takes off from 41st Street and The West Side Highway, heading south along the Hudson River to the Statue of Liberty. After circling Liberty Island for approximately 30 minutes, it heads up the East River, turning around underneath
the Brooklyn Bridge. It then repeats the trip in reverse, docking 3 hours after departure.

Just did a little research... don\'t think I can get outta work at 5 (in Monroe) and possibly make it down to the boat by 7pm.
On a related note... why does rocks off have a unicorn doing a dolphin on their webpage?

well, technically you have until 8... DO IT!!!

i would imagine that that imagery is something similar to what goes on in upstate\'s head..
-
Folks that know the city: would you take the train into GCS, then a subway to get close to the boat??
-

actually, whoops, they\'re playing the half moon... i would think it\'d be the same though..

looks like train > subway (4 5 6) to 23rd st. > cab may be the best option..
-
Folks that know the city: would you take the train into GCS, then a subway to get close to the boat??
you basically have to go to gcs anyway... unless you know you def won\'t get lost/fuck up on the subway, i would just take a cab. i forget which train to take down to the dock. i know it\'s basically around like 23rd and fdr... maybe like the 4, 5, 6? you might just wanna take the train to like 23rd or 14th and grab a taxi... my sis used to live in that area but i can\'t remember which station is closest.
-
We are most likely driving in. Brian- you could hop in with us if you want.

-
is there a possibility that the show may get canceled?
-
If it\'s real bad, they will.
-
well, if it does get canceled, we can hold the show in my living room..8 min cab ride away
-
sick, i can\'t make the boat, but i\'ll rage late night at oms\'s
-
Now you\'re talkin\'. Take that Todd. We will have it in the living room!!
P.S. It\'s 2:30am Thursday morning, and it\'s raining pretty hard in New York. If we get lucky, it will be all done by tonight.........
-
well, if it does get canceled, we can hold the show in my living room..8 min cab ride away
and you can arrange the Zach Allen sit-in!
-
:( forecast sez T-storms... :(
-
aren\'t these things "rain or shine" events?? it isn\'t like we\'ll be going out far into the depths of the Atlantic or anything, and the band is covered... looked around on the Rocks off site for a while but didn\'t see any fine print or anything...
-

It IS about a dolphin/ unicorn love affair. Check out their merch (http://www.rocksoff.com/merchmens.html) page. Don\'t you all want to sport that pink t-shirt. And yes, this is the GUYS merch page.
From their faq page:
12. What if it rains?
The Concert Cruise will go on, rain or shine - the performance area is covered and the majority of the boat is indoors. If weather conditions appear unusually extreme, then there is a possibility that the cruise will be canceled, however in our 3 years of rockin\'
and dockin\' we have never had to cancel a cruise due to weather conditions. Should that event arise, prior attempt will be made to contact advance ticket buyers, andrefunds will be issued.

i\'ll be in the city for the next few days regardless of tonight\'s show and seriously doubt it will be cancelled anyway... if anything, the water might be choppy/the boat will be rocking, so if you get motion sickness you should probably take whatever it is that you people take to fix that..
-
Hopefully Adrian doesn\'t go all the way over into his drum set this time!!
-
weathers looking pretty decent as of now...kind of grey/overcast but it doesnt look like rain or thunderstorms as of now
-
Have fun everyone!!!!!:disco:I wish I was going but........
Jess needs to take break.Buckle down a little to make sure I can.
-
the seas were angry that night...
good luck you crazy bastards. I\'ll be sitting here at work thinking of ways for a prison break.
-
I wish I was there in my mind having fun! but my body, not so much, sleeping by 8 I hope.
-
I wish I was there in my mind having fun! but my body, not so much, sleeping by 8 I hope.
I hear that. Out of work at 9 and crashing. Literally have partied since last Monday night and averaging about 4 hours of sleep since then. I am no highlander but a mere mortal.
-
Hear yeah!....Got in trouble, friends mad at me,I wish I decided things better than I do...I cant say Im sorry enough, cant turn time back and Im not one to regret things but,wow I am sorry!! but I for sure need sleep!
-
Living with no regrets.
I do miss the days of Shady Acres on a side note.
-
Living with no regrets.
Last night is a 1st regret for me/not used to the wishing I can push time back and not be an asshole!
I hope one day long from now(Im sure it will be long)I hope Im forgiven!:pout:
Im sorry! Not proud and very sad.I cant do anything to make it better!if I could I would I dont have powers like that though.
-
Life\'s to short to care maybe thats why I live in the "space" I do. You create your own reality and you can change your own reality too.
-
I know I just hate to be the cause of any drama or hard feelings "Life is to short"......but what may come after life could be longer and better!!:)
-
I was just thinking how much i miss Shady Acres...we should judt go there to party one night...I don\'t want to wait until the next NYC Breakfast show.

I\'m with you, fatty.
Shady Acres is a good place. Good people and shady rooms in the back. A little hotel party.
Whose putting the room under there name? Not it.
-
Just heard the show was GREAT and ass kickin cant wait to see or hear about the setlist!!:bounce2:
-
so it was SOMETHING like this. i had an incredibly intense musical/spiritual experience at this show, so my linear recollection of it might be a tad skewed. as a result of this, i\'ll post my recalled setlist here rather than starting a new FFT thread.
I: Ahoy > Beef Barley, Episode 3 (Awakening), No Regret > Space Oddity > jam* > Son of Simpleton
II: jam > Love Lake, Tribal Funk Affliction > Surreal Radio > Tribal Funk Affliction, Bugs, Mooboos Voodoo (Episode 2), American Band
* Many boat/ship reference teases that I can\'t recall right now.
Encore was supposed to be Food For Thought, but there wasn\'t enough time. Killer show. Great crowd w/ tons of energy. Thanks to all for making this a wonderful time.
-
I: Ahoy > Beef Barley, Episode 3 (Awakening), Language Of The Gods, No Regret > Space Oddity > jam* > Son of Simpleton

* Many boat/ship reference teases that I can\'t recall right now.
Ya missed one. ;)
One hell of a KILLER show! Good times with great people, yet again!! Space Oddity > jam > Son of Simpleton was something else. Tribal Funk Affliction > Surreal Radio > Tribal Funk Affliction was unexpectedly splendid! And Mooboos was fantastic. All around blast of a show!
-
just fucking great!!!
-
holy crap, how could i forget? that was a great language!
