Listen to this album or deprive yourself

Funny, I saw it @ the record store yesterday and thought hmm a new album ? But did not for a second think to buy it. Why should I rethink this?

Heartfelt lyrics, totally non-sappy. A dark tone, which is completely unlike his Wings-and-beyond work, yet still has a few songs which echo the "time for tea mum," sentiment. Produced by Nigel Godrich of OK COMPUTER fame. And Paul plays all the instruments for the first time in years. Just to name a few.

OK I may check this out. Thanks!

And you call that a reason to buy this???? Would rather he produced the album himself, rather than use the producer of an album by the most over-rated group in history.

Now that\'s a good reason!!

we just saw sir paul last night (where he broke out an impromptu happy birthday sing-a-long for john thanks to somebody\'s sign :) ) and i thought the new tunes were pretty damn good. some seemed like true \'classic\' mccartney and some really did sound like darker, more mature rockers. but all of them sounded like songs you should have remebered the words even if it was your first time hearing them. i was impressed.
of course, when you have 50 top ten songs in your bag, writing instantly familiar and timeless tunes must get a little easier....

Let\'s just say that activity has been lagging on .info the last few days.
Secondly, I downloaded the album months ago and just came across it while looking at my monster of a music list.
Any other questions, bowling alley butthole?
