Post by: Drew_Kingsley on September 26, 2005, 05:27:50 pm: I noticed on the Toad\'s Place calendar that The Breakfast is not noted on a calendar that is fairly full and spans until December 23rd. Are we gearing up for a New Year\'s Eve extravaganza (hopefully as a headliner)? It would be very un-Breakfast to go six months without a Toad\'s appearance.

So I guess we could call this, in effect, the most pre-mature NYE anticipation thread of all-time. But really I\'m just hurting for tour dates. Since I am going to miss the Freakout and have school now, there is not a single date on the calendar that I can swing at the moment.

So what\'s the Toad\'s story (NYE or otherwise)?

thats fine, but what are the other options? the webster? where else are they able to play that they are not too big or too small for? last year was ser bullshit and i just want them to be on stage playing as midnight strikes.

rent some tables and chairs. have it catered so we could all sit down to a nice nye meal together. maybe a nice opener like jeff gittleman to play during dinner. it could be a ser time for the very loyal fans. sure, it will cost, but it\'s nye! besides, if it\'s byob, major money will be saved right there.

One idea being kicked around is to do the 30th (Friday) at Toads...and a private on New Years.......

I could see myself considering another trip east if the weekend is enticing enough. How could last year\'s NYE afterparty be topped?

Hmmmmmm....lets see....

If there are back to back Breakfast shows on 12/30 and 12/31, that would be a good start....

If the 12/31 show is at The Annex Club....now we\'re talkin.....

If Lisa and Dave were to find the courage to host yet another latenight after the Annex Club (12/31) show..... I would think all the pieces would be in place to top the 04/05 NYE afterparty...
