Here we are, folks. It\'s August and TB is in the middle of a wicked string of shows. All this talk about fall tour has got us excited, but we need some organization up in hurrrr.
What it comes down to is that we Midwesterners need to get hold of our respective venues, give the owners a heads-up, and somehow get the band in contact with them. Problem is, I don\'t know who to tell the owners to call or email since there isn\'t exactly a permanent agent right now. They could email Tim, but who knows how often he checks it or how much time he has to call people. We need some Northeastern help here...Peck, Fitz, Freddie, Igzi, Gencs, Spacey etc. (if I left you out I didn\'t mean to), whoever sees the guys on a regular basis and knows what\'s going on.
We can also list potential venues/phone numbers/email addresses here so that someone can write it down and hand it to the band. I have a feeling that with enough time beforehand, there could be a ser amount of promotion that will lead to the biggest Midwest tour yet.
Midwest committee roll call: kyndkate, Gordo, shadygroove, bryank, anyone else?
We can also discuss upcoming shows in New England here. Looks like TB already has several decent evenings ready to be booked (as per usual). Fire away!!

I can help out w/ a WI gig. My bf Chris is in 2 bands and gets all kinds of people booked up here in Madison, WI...we\'d love to have TB come visit WI and maybe another Chicago show for a nice 2-day run for me :)
I\'ve talked to Igzy in the past, but what it would come down to is a press kit, snail mail or electronic, and open dates that they wold be wanting to come through the area. I know that Chris has his band booked into Oct already and maybe some Nov gigs...the time IS now if they want to make plans out this way.
I was mostly hoping they could play the High Noon Saloon (http://www.high-noon.com/) in Madison.

Pasted From the Setlist:07/22/05 - 10,000 Lakes Festival; Detroit Lakes, MN Thread:
I\'d love to have The Breakfast stop in Saint Louis on their fall tour. I suppose Iowa City and Chicago aren\'t that far (in midwest terms - not sure how you East Coasters classify "close"), but maybe I can put in a good word with a friend who books for a club here.
FWIW, The Schwag is from Missouri and they play every Wednesday here in Saint Louis. They\'ve been around for over 10 years and maintain a mailing list with 6000 names - that\'s a lot of potential new TB fans! They recently purchased some land near Salem, MO (2 hours SW of STL) called Camp Zoe and use it to throw several Schwagstocks every year. I haven\'t been down there yet but it\'s apparently quite a scene. It\'s a really beautiful part of the state and their property has a number of swimming holes, rivers for floating, and nice hiking/camping spots. A lot of my crew are heading down there this weekend for the Euphio Campout but I have to go to a wedding

I can\'t wait for fall tour! I can certainly say that you will see me within the next few months. I just got a job offer (Investment Performance Analyst) after depleting my savings for half a year.
Breakfast and family are the only reasons I need a vacation (living in one of the best areas of the U.S. makes each day feel like a vacation) so you can count on Al Z. resurfacing sometime soon.
If I come back for a fall visit and there is no Breakfast scheduled one night, I will single handedly hire T.P. for all of my old friends to enjoy.
I would consider making a trek to the midwest, though I feel my vacation days would probably be better spent on CT shows with all the rage of the hometown crowd. I\'m still hopeful that the band may actually make it here for a west coast run as well.
Let\'s hope for a great booking agent to help spread the Breakfast to new faces and geographies.

Thanks for the info...can anyone tell me if Alex DeFelice is still the booking agent, or should I give another phone number to the LBC owner?

Thanks for the info...can anyone tell me if Alex DeFelice is still the booking agent, or should I give another phone number to the LBC owner?
i guess technically he is. but he has been in the hospital, so i dont think he would want you to contact him. maybe if the phone number is a business line there will be someone there that knows whats going on.
-
I won\'t bother calling him then...does anyone around here know who to contact?

Congratskal!
-
missed this thread, i actually contacted Alex DeFelice a few days ago about helping them book shows at a better venue in Chicago. gave him a list of five with #\'s, he answered quickly and was real appreciative. he said the band is between booking agents (but put himself as part of the equation, NOT as the booking agent to be switched) and said the \'problem\' would be nailed down within a couple weeks. he said they would then book shows for a fall tour and said they really want to get back to the midwest after a great response from 10KL. he forwarded the email to Tim, aka the fucking grassroots manager, and said hed send out posters and flyers for any shows they book in the area.
-
Alex DeFelice is the manager, but he gas been filling in bookings until a permanent agent is found. He can be reached at Alex@HMGRecords.com or AlexD@mindspring.com.
The agency we have been talking to was at 10klf. Saw the show, was blown away. Hopefully they will feel they have the resources to do this.
We got a ton of Midwest interst from the 10kfl show. There will definitely be a tour there.
-
This is great news!
-
Ahhhh so excited! I\'m shooting the email right now.
-
On behalf on myself and some other regulars, please take the Breakfast away from us. I need to find a real job not work and I need some well awaited rest. Please, take them for a month.
-
Can I take them for 2 months, Spacey?
-
no they at least have to hit Burlington, or Plattsburgh, somewhere nearby so I dont have to drive so far, although I will definately be hitting up Timmy Solo in Septemeber after moe.down once Im able to drive
-
Can I take them for 2 months, Spacey?

-
Can I take them for 2 months, Spacey?
Please!
Just have them back by October 31st.
Thank You.
-
Any other news on Midwest venues? I haven\'t heard back from Alex yet.
-
So what is out there so far:
Sept 9 Lion\'s Den
Sept 15 Wheelhouse Tavern
Sept 23 Revolution Hall
Am I missing any?
-
Does the band have a name for the fall tour? If so, maybe someone would be willing to do a bit of artwork, and we can make flyers out of it?

Add a CT date for Saturday the 24th and I\'ll be flying back for a 3-day run.
Steffmo or anyone else close to the band, when are the midwest dates going to begin and are there any plans to come all the way West?
-
That Sat Sept 24th show should be in NH/VT/ME area so we can all get up there to see some amazing Fall foliage...What a sweet run it would be if it were to end in Burlington or at the Stone Church again. Or Maine wouold be CRAZY!
They should do Thursday the 8th in Philly at the Khyber...that would be Great...Cheesesteaks and Chickenpox.
-
Maine would be nice or a stop at Nectars.
-
Still no word from Alex, Gordo - have you heard anything?
-

they could easily get another gig at the Stone Church- I don\'t really know of any other NH venues besides Hampton Beach and that\'d be a bit of a stretch for now...
-
well.......stone church then ! there are plenty of other places they could go here i just dont know where. maybe i could look sometime

I looked at Lafayette Brewing Co\'s website the other day, and there was a notice up about bookings:
"Thanks for your interest in playing Lafayette\'s finest live music venue. Due to the extremely high volume of press kits we have on file and the limited number of shows we host each year, we are not currently soliciting information from artists. Please do not call the restaurant regarding booking, as no additional information is available at this time. Thanks again!"
Man, I reeeeeally hope Greg got hold of Alex or Tim before that went up on Saturday. If TB doesn\'t come back, I honestly think I\'ll cry.
-

why would Hampton be a stretch?
-

Moment of truth today, I\'m going to try and call the Brewing Company and see if they\'ve booked TB yet.
any word on how this turned out. I\'m assuming badly since there has been no future post on the matter. Any other possible places out there or does it have to be LBC?
-
i say it must be the LBC. that show felt like the venue was put on their road map for awhile.
-
I\'m going there on Thursday to see Garaj Mahal (Gordo are you still planning on coming?) so I\'ll ask about it. I didn\'t want to call the venue because of the notice on the website saying no more bookings/don\'t call us/our schedule is too full etc.
As for possible places, unless they played somewhere in Indy, the only other place would be Chicago. The only thing between Indy and Chicago is LBC. Or maybe they could try Axis Nightclub or The Bluebird in Bloomington, IN? That\'s where Indiana University is located and they get names like Col. Hampton and Todd Snider all the time.
-
ive still been planning on it, although i feel like shit today.. i came down with strep throat about 2 weeks ago, finished my meds. on saturday, and yesterday i started feeling exactly the same way i did two weeks ago. today, i feel worse. this is real irritating, i just want to be healthy.
-
:( well get better and get yo\' ass down to the best small venue in the Midwest! Have you talked to Andy?
-
yeah, just got back to him.
-
Fabulous, I\'ll see you and Kincaid in 4 days :D
-
if it was TB, i wouldnt care if i woke up that morning with a huge chancre on my cock head.. id be there.
-
^ I\'m going to forget you said that
-
"remember it, write it down, take a picture, i dont give a fuck!"

on a side note, I met Jake Cinninger from Umphrey\'s McGee at their mini-outdoor festie Friday night:
Fun show, the weather was beautiful! This was in their hometown, and there were only a few hundred people there. Now if we could get the Breakfast to do something like that...;)
-
Stop fluffing Umphrey\'s on this board.
LOL
That\'s pretty cool kyndkate. Is he a good guy?
Umphreys is one of the bands I currently do promo\'s for. Don\'t really listen to to much of them.
-
Jake was really down-to-earth. A girl said that her brother was bummed he couldn\'t be there, so Jake was like, call him and I\'ll talk to him on your cell phone! He had a good 5-6 minute conversation with the kid. He told us the story of how they got their name (Brendan\'s grandfather), what they expect for the next year, etc. They\'re not my favorite band, but I always have fun at their shows.
-
So what is the story behind the name?
Was it Brendan\'s grandfathers name?
