Just wondering how many of the fine folks here have or have access to a DVD-A players.
The reason I ask is I finally got around to figuring it all out and I have sucessfully burned a few DVD-A discs this weekend. I have a bunch of the 24Bit Masters of the Breakfast shows I have taped sitting on my hard drive and was curious if you guys have the means to play them back.
I was screwing around with the Beardslee Castle show and some of the others. I guess I am just trying to gauge if it is worth it to realese the 1\'s I do via Bit Torrent or simply hand it to folks at shows who have the means to playback.

people are having enough trouble with flac and dvd video. dvd audio is going to be confusing because when people see dvd they think video. i think the best way to do it is to make an audio compilation on dvd with menus like matt did with 3/4/05. that way even if people dont understand exactly what they are downloading they can at least play it.

<<<- my changer is capable of dvd-a. I would love copies of whatever you have. Let me know and I\'ll bring blanks and buy you plenty of heady

I still have not purchased a dvd-a player. just still keep on thinking that something new is going to come out. but if you release a dvd-a audio, I might have to go out and buy one. can dvd-a standard be read by a computer dvd player?
I have had pretty good success with making standard menu-based dvd music compilations. it uses standard/cheap dvd\'s and plays up to 24bit/96k.

most newer dvd players play DVD-A. i just upgraded my player a few months ago so i could play SACDs as well. a Sony 5-disc DVD/DVD-A/SACD player can be had for about $130..

ChrisF i agree with you. Just look at the 2nd post in this thread.
I just picked up a Toshiba 4960 for $47.00. Wavelab only authors DVD-A and I haven\'t messed with the other formats. I think this answered my question though. I figure I can give some to Dave, MAtt, yourself if u want them and Todd of course.
I will simply just seed the 24Bit flacs to others if they want them. I was just curious because I have been havin some fun with the format adding graphics and pictures and such
