guitar, playing along to shows is a good way to apply what you(I) have been practicing. Phish, The Dead, are great for me, and not to discredit them but a HELL of a lot easier to play to than any Breakfast show ive ever tried to jam to. it is near impossible to follow Tim, or the band for that matter, but this only makes you better in the long run. anyone else agree, disagree?

agree. dead are very easy because the jams are so open. very easy to find your way around, not like the maze that is breakfast jams.

id imagine this goes for bass lines and drums as well

Word. There\'s only a few Breakfast songs that give me the urge to pick up my Strat and jam along. Usually I just end up embarrassing myself.
But I can play along to entire Phish and Dead shows... go figure...

don\'t know, the thought of trying just plain exhausts me. i picture my mind melting out my ears as the fingers of my left hand tie in double knots and the remaining nub only producing random string twang\'s and clunks.
