How about some big spots?
I am planning on catching some Real Radio Summer Tour while it\'s hot.
Hope to see many of you out west.
-
I think they should work on getting on the lineup for 10,000 Lakes Festival in Minnesota in late July. http://www.10klf.com (http://www.10klf.com)
-
that would be great... a nice run through that part of the country would be awesome
here is a spot where we can see if theyll have Breakfast on the list....

last email down is band requests..bands@10klf.com ..hit em up!!

from my understanding, which is probably little, the midwest has quite a few breakfast fans. definately should claim all the fans who don\'t dig UM.
-
hey, my first post here...so Hi from a WI Breakfast newb. Just started getting a few shows and am looking forward to being able to check these guys out this summer, hopefully in the midwest, and I may even make a trek out east if I can combine a moe./Breakfast/visit with friends journey. You won\'t drag me from UM, but these guys have peeked my interest...let\'s get them out here and show us what the Breakfast is about!
-
GSPhan, welcome aboard, how are things out in Wisconsin? Heard there\'s good cheese out there. I almost took an internship there last summer.
-
where theres cows
-
We have great cheese in WI - I travel to shows (mostly moe.) and some summer festivals around the country and bring cheese curds for the masses with me. If I make it out to MA/RI/CT for a Breakfast show, I will be sure to bring you some ;)
-
adrian said that they should be on moedown too.

won\'t happen. you can\'t have a band who is hands down better than you play at your festival. . . no offense Igzi.

Why hello there GSphan, it seems like I bump into you everywhere these days.
As far as the Breakfast upstaging moe. at the .down, they are more than welcome to give it a shot. moe. has given the opportunity to many bands(tDB, UM, Galactic, Flaming Lips, etc.) and somehow they manage to step it up and take the cake every year./ Granted the Breakfast will give them a SER run for their money, but I\'m sure it will all work out for the best for both bands, and esp. the fans in the end. All I know is, a saturday night moe.> Breakfast> moe. full band segwich would be as ser as ser can be.

Be afraid, be very afraid. If such is the case, I will make it to my first moe.down after two years of excuses. And I am glad you recognized the upstaging at the down, and only at the down ;)

moe.down hmmmmmmm really is this true?
-
not yet announced, but this is what im hopin for....lol
-
I know its no surprise The Breakfast will be back at Strange-Creek, but I\'m glad they are because that\'s a fantastic festival. About 2000 heads, camping along paths in a pine forest, and a great vibe.
-
Ya that is a real cool scene I just want to go to a festival where they are playing for at least two hours. They have a sixty min slot????

Come on now Jon she only belittles Wah when he gets outta hand. Which is pretty much always. SER
-
Expect the Moedown and 10000 Lakes announcements soon. They are essentially done deals......knock on wood.
I expect several more. We\'d like to see a couple of hundred thousand folks see the band before the end of summer.

I am pretty sure they are scheduled at Strange Creek as a main act, starting at 6pm or so. So they should be playing for a couple hours, I would think...
-
main act= name of band in large font. this seems to be the case in advertising for the event
I\'m hoping for Trafton to sit in. According to Mama Worm, he\'ll be a-okay in time for StrangeCreek. although strangefolk will never be the same as it was :(
In other festival related hopes and wishes, it would be nice for Ken Hayes to allow for a late night set at this years GOTV that could last for more than an hour...\'
"Go West Young Man"... hopefully dates will surface for some west coast action. still no answer bout them wedding bells...

hey, an hour set would have a good 10+ minutes on last year\'s set!

hee hee Duane, you just keep that to yourself!
I hope that 10K Lakes starts announcing bands, because right now that festival is completely off my radar screen. The only bands announced are at every freakin\' festival anyways...bring in some fresh music and I\'d consider going...the Breakfast sounds like a great addition!

Are any of you that keep saying they are on for 10k and moedown at all affiliated with TB\'s booking or know someone who is? I\'d like to know if they have been considered for 10KLF. Please IM or email me.

Steffmo is the man behind the production of Real Radio so there is some authenticity in the announcement.
Moe + Breakfast = crap in Igziabeher\'s pants.
-
I am president of HMG Records and am also involved in the bands management. I get daily updates as to what is going on.
The only thing holding a more general anouncement of these dates is paperwork between booking and the festivals.
We want this summer to take the band way past where they were a year ago.
-

Where the hell did that come from? I was kidding about the letter z.
I am kidding when I poke at Fred. I don\'t bust on him any more than anyone else who sets themself up for an easy joke. I love the guy and don\'t intentionally hurt his feelings. I don\'t think I ever \'bash\' him. Fred knows I mean him no harm.
Don\'t be like Grayson. Last I knew it was ok to joke around on here.

Great plan! We are all very excited about the near future.

this place survives off humor, so yes, it is more than ok to joke around here, but comparing me to Grayson is, in my opinion, insulting..
how bout that fukin porters show tonight!!!! Hope the 10k/moedown fest are CONFIRMED..so to speak
This summer will turn many heads and make the rest of us more in tune

OMG Pls forget you wanted to know Igzi. but if you must know.
Old PB grassroots coordinator and owner of STG, had a falling out w/ the band, Dave and Wah. Now reformed and loving life in Sunny Southern California. That\'s abt it. Joe is actually the 2nd most hated member of this board thus Gray no longer posts.

Then I guess Spam-of-Gothrie-Whore is number 3 on the most hated list, even if he/she only posted once.
-

i deffinatley took off before the end of the show..cant get nothin by you!! oh well, couldnt have been more satisfied with what went down up to that point.
-
cool..got a reply from the 10klakes people after droppin a Breakfast suggestion for their line up..not that they needed my help, and steffmo already said theyre gonna play it, but at least they responded :
Hello Jon,
Round 2 of the 10,000 Lakes Festival Artist Announcements is coming
soon,
and your band suggestions came at a great time. We take everyone\'s
ideas
seriously and are putting together a stellar lineup to go with
Widespread
Panic and Trey. Thanks for the email and we hope to see you in July!
The 10,000 Lakes Festival Team
-
i remember someone posting an email for the 10000 lakes band suggestions. i sent one out and got the same reply. good to know that they atleast got a few people suggesting them. good to hear that they are playing too. that will be a decent festival for them to play at.
-
SO...if The Breakfast is playing 10klakes... is anyone going from my neck of the woods, i would like to see TB and Trey, dont know if i want to go by myself..

I am pondering the thought, but I am not sure my car can take an 1800 mile each way journey and if I\'ll have $300+ to throw down on a plane ticket, I have to be the best man in a wedding two weeks before too and need time off work for that. . .
-
<- gonna try like hell to be there...possibly (keeping fingers crossed) shooting for Relix
-
^^^got my fingers crossed too.. that\'d be sick shit Mr. Anderson..didn\'t realize how far away Minnesota is.. def. can\'t make that drive..
-

F\'n A Todd. Good Luck with that, show\'m how it\'s done in the northeast.
-

yeah..don\'t know much about the midwest and i always forget how far away it really is..i don\'t know if my car would make it, bonnaroo was half that drive for me. thanks advance for a ride to strange creek :awwyeah:
-
I would probably fly out there. Probably cost the same with the gas prices the way they are. Not to mention, I would probably get at least one speeding ticket. ;)
-
10,000 Lakes is a go (not that we all didn\'t figure that out already), it\'s listed on .org and 10klf.com. .org has show time as 12:00am, my guess is its a default, but if not, late night Breakfast at 10k, time to purchase more bandwith Dave!
-
LATE NIGHT!?!?!?!? I may have to find my way to Minnesota, now...
-
latenight has been confirmed...if you show up at 1OKlf you will be just 50 miles from Fargo. I drove 22 hours straight through with no drugs to the 1st Bonnaroo and still waited in line for 9 hours.....so I think you guys from out east can make it to MN.
-
Any other important festival appearances that may be announced soon? Also, any indication of the time slots and stages being more prominent this year?
-
Moe.down
-
Moe.down
what about it? is this a confirmation? come on Vic, don\'t tease us!
-
it\'s been thrown around here for a while, and talk on the moe.ron board seems to solidify this notion. PB@MD6 confirmed. Rob and Ron bass duel??
-
Thought you guys would be interested in this, got it off The Niche\'s message board:
The scoop on the sackets nichefest june 10 and 11.
Wild Bills Nichefest is the fourth concert since 2000.
With my stage-attendance and social etiquette policy established and enforced last year, the first of the concerts last year to set the standard(who\'s got the balls?), I will return to camping with a bus service this year. The reason for separating the busing and camping is to enforce stage presence. If this reduces numbers in attendance----tough!!!!!!!! It is a music festival!!!!!!!!!!!! Right!!!??
But, we will have alcohol at all sites this year!
Due to a high interest by quality bands to play the fest, it may split into a double venue but with alcohol at both stages this year!
The breakfast and the Niche will be headlining Saturday Night! Friday is up for grabs.
Anybody who was at the last two Nichefests and were at the mainstages for the headline know that we will have an audiance of -300-400 strong, at least! Bands need this crowd energy reflection to fuel their artistic fire.
I will be featuring bands from every major city in the state and some from New England who communicated that they want to support our concert theme. They will be paid gas money, given a campsite and fed as long as they stay! Bands will be tipped if we make a profit!
A lot of bands want to come to the Nichefest from PA, connecticut and ma because of the nature of the social themes that have been established at previous fests!
somebody read the stuff advertised lastlast year and it was intended for a long-term effect!
I am open to suggestions if they are reasonable. I lost almost 4,000 last year and the band nevertheless, benefitted from the continuity of notariety in holding their own fest and being leaders in the stage-presence and social-ertiquette policy. Sometimes the kids are the adults!
-
I know alot of you New Englanders are heading to Strange Creek but for the rest of you I must encourage you to join us for the debut of the Breakfast at the Sterling Stage. (Upstate NY) Some of us have been waiting for this pairing for years and no there will not be 2000 people there, but it will be a very cool festival with some of the most fun and friendly folks you will meet anywhere. The place (a kampitheater as we call it) is unlike any other venue....you can see the stage from most campsites, acoustics are unbelievable, over 50 acres land, many interesting knooks & crannies. The Breakfast headlines on Saturday night...9pm - 11:30pm...accompanied by Groovin Lumens. Check out our site for more info.

Since 10,000 Lakes is in late July and halfway across the country, does this mean that a trip out west is imminent as they prepare for Baja Bash and a west coast tear?
-
I dont think Baja Bash is happening this year....they are doing a cruise instead...a little later in the year.
-
90% sure Baja Bash is a go. Looks like they may be changing venue location though, which kinda sucks. That place was SER!!!
-
Yeah, I guess they are doing the cruise and the bash...I thought from the promoters early indications this year that they were replacing one event with the other. I haven\'t made it to the Baja yet and definitely need to.
-
Baja Bash will be in a new location which bites but it is going to happen trust me on that.
-
Went to ACL Fest last year. Really beautiful park set in the middle of Austin, TX. They have a nice cross selection of great music from different generes. Lots of stages, great food, and really expensive beer (Lone Star at $4 a pop...ouch). Couldn\'t drink that much anyway, it was 100 degrees with not that much shade.

String Cheese Incident
The Flaming Lips
Les Claypool
Keller Williams
Dark Star Orchestra (?)
Umphrey\'s McGee
Michael Franti & Spearhead
Yonder Mountain String Band
Drive By Truckers
Particle
John Brown¹s Body
Brother\'s Past
Lotus
And Many More

Looks like many more festivals have been added to the calendar.
