Ok I finally got around to uploading the soundboard from the Breakfast show I threw in Beverly MA, October 16th 2010. Not sure what took me so long exactly. This show was truly phenomenal and the party went off without a hitch, minus a fuse blowing out and killing the little light show we had going on.
Give it a listen and let me know what you guys think. The recording could be better but still it isn\'t too shabby.
Since that party/show went so well I decided I should give it another go. I am in the middle of orchestrating an actual show (not a private show/party this time) to take place sometime in February in Boston - of course with The Breakfast headlining again. It is still very much in the planning process but the band is signed on, and so is the venue a newish venue called The Church of Boston. I am hoping to come close to selling this show out (max capacity is 250), so start spreading the word and I hope you guys will show up. We will have a date soon.

Enjoy.

awesome thanks. i\'ve heard about the church- its kinda near fenway right?
-
Thanks again Man! And it sounds great!
This is Oh_kee from PT

Thanks for taping and posting... a lot of long, lonely weekends in the office had me fresh out of new (or "new-to-me") live Breakfast.
Is this the complete show or is there a lot missing due to the power outage?
-
Thank you very much for taping and sharing this. I\'m looking forward to checking this out today, especially now that my power is back on!
-
nice dude thank you! looking forward to a possible church of boston show too
-
thanks!
-
The power outage only effected the first jam>may fly. It cut out the lights and Timmy and Dangles instruments. Or maybe it was Jordans..can\'t remember...
I also removed one small section of the show, which is just a semi long drunken, and embarrassing rant by one of my friends before the encore. It was kind of a shit show up in that place.
-
this sounds pretty good and its helping to spread some sunshine on what is a very rainy day here. thanks again!
love having soundboards of this band! Lots of subtle textures that sometimes get lost with an audience recording.

right click the .rar file. extract it to a location (e.g. your desktop or music folder). you\'ll be good to go after that

Bring back them records!!!

is this english? how am i supposed to know what a .rar file is or where to find it and i don\'t believe i know how to extract anything in this world....much less to the right place.
ok...io right clicked the file and sent it to my desktop. still nothing?
how the fuck do i know if i want to "save" or "run" something. i never know. it\'s ALWAYS a guess. there no fun in this. just forget it. i\'m going back to wplr. who cares if i have to listen to the doors, van halen and aerosmith all day. at least i push a button and it works.

jesus duane, do i have to drive to your house and do this? save the file that TheSeeker linked to. when the download finishes, right click on the file that looks like a stack of books (breakfast beverly 10-16-10.rar) and choose "extract to..." then choose your desktop as the location. the files will appear as standard mp3 files on your desktop. you can then burn them to a cd. i\'m not sure what you have to do to get them on an 8-track, which i assume is the way you listen to things
-
i need a system where i type "listen to the breakfast from 10/16/10" and i start listening to music. anything else is a pain in my ass. i wouldn\'t know metropolis from metro north cause i\'ve never heard it except live at a show. tuneage? another song that i know by name only. i\'ve never been able to listen to it outside of a venue. frankly....they all are starting to sound the same.
-
Maybe he needs RAR.
For Windows go to http://www.downloads.com and find "WinRAR"... download it and use that program to bust open the RAR file. A RAR is, like, pretty much the same as a ZIP.
-
thanks anyway. too much trouble.
-
its not hard and it\'ll save you a lot of headaches for future music downloading. just search for winRAR and dl it, then do what zuke said, since his explanation only works if you already have it dl\'ed.

oldnewb, it pains me to hear about the troubles you\'ve been having. While this particular show won\'t be on the LMA unless we have the lossless files, there are many shows at the LMA that you can listen to with one click. Especially for the recent shows. Some of the old PB shows don\'t have the streaming box in the upper right corner for whatever reason, at least you can hear Metrop, Tunage, and the rest of the great things the guys are doing these days. That is easy and we can instruct you how to do this if you haven\'t already.
PM me if you want and I can hook you up with any of these shows.
-
Your lack of motivation is astounding.
WinRAR will be there, when you are ready ;)
-
hey tuna.....gfy
i work in excess of 100 hrs EVERY week at numerous ventures. every time i decide to try again, there is some new program or acronym that you twidgets are using and nothing that i\'ve used in the past works anymore. i\'m very happy for you that you have the time in your life to persue all your hobbies and interests. making any money? i don\'t want to keep up with the latest in music sharing technology, i just want to listen to some music while i work. i got your lack of motivation right fucking here. btw.......how many of the rest of you saw kung fu last night and made it to work for 7am this morning?
and thanks frolfer
-
duane,i also went out of my way to try to help you.
called u and messaged u on facebook and u made it seem like u didnt wanna know nothing.
i know u might be having a bad day, shit we all have bad days, but when folks go out of their way to try to help u with obvious problems that u have, and u give a fucking attitude about it,its not really cool.
-
hey toooldtouseacomputer..... peace love unity & respect, brother!
I hear you that\'s why we\'re all tryin to help you out. I\'m sure you\'d even have some burned CDs/DVDs in the mail if you asked for certain shows.
Saw Kung Fu, yes. Worked today? definitely not. Making money? probably not nearly as much as you... 100+ hours? damn, yo.
-
hey fred....remember the part where i said thanks anyway to you? i also thanked frolfer. i do appreciate all the help that was offered. i didn\'t particularly care for a comment about a lack of motivation which i responded to. i apparently don\'t have the time to waste or the intelligence required. hell....i don\'t even speak the language. i downloaded the phish show i went to recently and that was a piece of cake......except for the 25 icons now on my desktop that play one song only.
-
Sorry Duane. Didn\'t mean to be a dick.
-
me either. sorry everyone and thanks!!!
i guess i\'m just an idiot. i\'ve downloaded winrar and i\'ve right clicked finding three ways to extract.? i\'ve tried all three ways. i can not make it play? if i try to open i get an hp dvd screen that says insert disc or hit play. play does nothing. i have an icon for the file on my desktop.
-
Honestly with the amount of time you spent bitching about how you couldn\'t figure it out you could have easily have downloaded winrar and been listening.
No offense meant but it literally takes 2 seconds and requires no talent or intelligence once so ever to do. This is not "the latest in music sharing technology", it is just a program like winzip - you need something like this to open any zipped file at all.
-
rereading this thread, i realize i am acting badly towards people trying to help me. thanks to all of you!!! i appreciate your efforts and now that i have my own rig that i don\'t share, i do need to figure this out. i\'m sure igz wants to strangle me regarding this issue by now. seeker....thanks for the link. i appreciate your efforts and sorry for the hijack. tuna, my reread showed me where you gave me a link to winrar. i was blinded by frustration and three hours sleep after the fu and kinda missed that. thanks and sorry! i appreciate the hell out of the tapers and wished i realized who you were last night. next time! seriously, sorry to everyone and thanks. i do have a problem with you zuke.........my 8 track player only plays one channel. it\'s kind of a sore spot with me. you might want to watch it! (that\'s the truth and i\'ll prove it at the next fabo! ;) )
-
no worries, I\'d be happy to send you some discs if you like.
-
if you can\'t let off a little steam on .info every once in a while, what\'s it really good for?
yeah, man, see if we can spot each other at the next one. Probably an introduction well overdue. peace!
-
if anybody wants to send me disks everytime a breakfast recording comes out, I\'ll accept that offer.
TIA
-
well, we\'ll see.
-
oh, I highly doubt that, Tim.
-
This really is a great show. Sounds like things started to get a little out of hand there at the end:chug:
Overall the sound is great. A little light on Jordan\'s keys, at least to these ears. But I understand that the sbd mix might not be tailored for someone listening at home. The sound guy has to make it sound good to him or her, in that room, at that time. With a little sweetening this recording would be just about right!
Hearing all the intricacies via the sbd makes me wish that every show was recorded at the board and sold. But we all want that, right?
I really like the keys before the power outtage, cool little riffing going on there. The Synergy jam has some different twists, courtesy of Tim, the mix really favors him at this point. Which is not a bad thing, but the keys get lost.
Thanks again for sharing.
-
Soundboards have their upsides, which you mentioned.
However I\'ll take a *good* AUD over the average SBD any day. There is something to be said for the tone of instruments coming through the amps and PA compared to straight from the board.
Not every venue lends itself to that kind of really good AUD recording though. Noisy rooms, rooms with weird geometry, rooms with no convenient good location to stick the recorder/mics...
Sullys and Red Square are examples of fantastic places to get a straight AUD recording... especially that little overhang like 10 feet in front of the stage at Sullys. Every venue needs one of those.
The Iron Horse, like with most things, is an example of an absolutely terrible room to try to get a straight AUD ;)
That all said... Matrix ftw

sad i missed this party. sounds like a good time. thanks for posting

These sets are melting my face again! Soundboard dankness :stoned:
-
Glad you guys are enjoying the show - highlights for me are probably coma>rufus.
Sorry guys I am not adding the small dick rant back...pretty sure the band asked specifically for that track to be removed hahah
It was the best of the bfast shows I\'ve been too - granted i\'ve seen less than 20.
