Some outdated info on the sullivan hall site:

[INDENT]The Breakfast 10:30pm
THE BREAKFAST is ready to be served if your appetite calls for some of the finest progressive funk rock on the scene today! With the addition of Matt Oestreicher on keyboards THE BREAKFAST is looking to wake the world with its sound. Their latest album Moxie Epoxy released in November 2006 is a testament to the style and energy of these souls from New Haven, CT.  Moxie Epoxy recorded in Wilmington, VT and at Horizon Studios in West Haven, CT features the brilliant musicianship and raw talent of guitarist Tim Palmieri, bassist Ron Spears, drummer Adrian Tramontano and former keyboard player Jordan Giangreco.  This is THE BREAKFAST\'s second release for HMG Recordings and their fifth overall.

you will miss the last train home and will then wish you had your car. last train is something like 2am.

I\'m leaving from the Albany area..if you\'re interested in tagging along.

I\'ve never driven into the city, so this should be interesting..anyone have any pointers, ideas about parking, etc.??? (galenas?)

nice! so glad you\'re coming!!! my pointers for driving in the city: be aggressive!! "Merge futhermucker just you merge You futhermucker merge merge futhermucker now!"

as for parking, it\'s always a crap shoot, but sullivan hall is in the heart of the village and chances of finding a spot right outside = just about zero. shoot for more around the perimeter and keep your eyes peeled. also just be sure to really read the parking signs b/c a ticket will cost you upwards of 100 big ones.

let\'s pregame it!

Woohoo! I am looking forward to learning about "aggressive driving"..yikes

Let me know what pregame entails (where, etc.) and we can definitely do it.

Is anybody driving down from CT or Mass?

I\'m potentially looking for a ride home after the show if someone plans on taking the Merritt Pkway or 95 back.

I\'d like to take the train in to meet up with some friends early and catch a ride back (since the last train is at 1:53...dooze).

Let me know if anyone can help.

Thanks in advance.

west village.....ive found parking on 7th ave in that area in the past, but it really is 50/50.  plenty of expensive garages around to take your money though

I tried Icon parking. I found a garage .29 miles away..The really awesome part is that you can print out a voucher and they have to honor the price. I got it for $26..not bad!!!!

I\'ll let you know, but if I\'m driving the Jeep it only has two seats and they\'re both full, if it turns out that we have seats I\'ll let you know, we may end up taking a car of some sort with more seats.  Wish I could give you more hope but I\'m not even sure how this is all gonna work out at this point... story of my life, playin\' it by ear.  PM you\'re # my way.

The effects of this Breakfast/Kung Fu! collision can already be felt in the city.
The preshow heat has the temps up to the high 60s. :beerban:
By the time the Breakfast finishes I predict we will be in the 90s. :banfire:
After Kung Fu! wraps up everything in a 5 block radius will have been incinerated. :burntban:

Recommended show attire is asbestos.

I was going to say the same thing as George. Mark and I will be there.  But I don\'t think we will stay for all of Kung Fu.  He\'s got to work tomorrow.  And plus, it can be intimidating to travel with a cop in the car. ;)  I know.   But its all good.   But in case, we are there and can give ride.

And George, come over and find me so i can say hi!  Or I\'ll find you.   Leaving the house in about a half hour.  See ya all there :)

so seriously upset over missing this.  so close.  and yet so far.  we literally made it to new york and then i got so sick that we had to go back.  :(   How was the kung fu set???  And the crowd??

I agree...short and sweet first set.  No segues between any songs.  My highlight was Rush

Kung Fu was great too.  The first half hour was w/o Chris Jensen and it sounded like a completely different band.  They got some slow and deep grooves going that I was absolutely loving.  When Chris got there they  played for another hour or so.  Whole show had a very different feel and sound than any of the Stella Blues shows I saw.  I really like the direction they are going in if last night was a blue print.

At the most crowded point of the night there was probably about 125 people there.

Show was videotaped by Ken

Kris had a good excuse for being late - he was way uptown at the United Palace on 175th St - sitting in with Jaimoe\'s \'other\' band, The Allman Brothers.  Smokin\' version of \'Jessica\'!!!!
