I had every intention on it, but since I am broke and can\'t afford gasoline to Burlington i think I\'ll drive 3 hours less to \'gansett and check out what the Breakfast menu is like at the wheelhouse

-
not as many as you would think..i was surprised
-
ok....here it is...first..burlington..what a great city...i hear pbdidn\'t get a great crowd on thurs and thats disa pointing but i really liked the city and think the breakfast will eventually find an audience there...maybe you college folks can spread the word at uvm..or we could get grey invited up there for the weekend..lol..the moe show(s) were great fun. the free show was actually really scary and i think it came very close to being a BIG problem. the city never got prepared for the size of the crowd but even so...it was a cool scene until they started making mistakes..the stage was at the end of a street that is now closed and set up like a walking outdoor mall...lot\'s of nice stores...great bars and places to eat...but kind of narrow with no place to go from block to block. after the show started, the city officials decided they wanted the sidewalks on either side in front of the stores clear. these were completely filled with people who had found a spot to see the band...just another fairly crowded moe show....they forced these people to move IN from both directions and the people in the middle (ME) were getting beat up pretty bad..we couldn\'t move and were completely at the mercy of the crowd...if one person had gone down it would have been tragic..i\'ve seen over 150 dead shows and been a fireman for 17 years and i\'ve never felt that helpless and frightened....we managed to start a flow out and eventually found a spot side of the stage next to the enclosed tent and enjoyed what we could, knowing we had tix for later at hg. (we know both drummers a bit, so we had some cool interaction with them during this).....back to the hotel for rest and some dinner...then off to the hg for a great show....couldn\'t belive how few tix grovelers there were..it was sold very nicely...not oversold at all...i think perhaps on purpose as this was to be a bit of a family gathering..and VERY COOL ...i understand when the show started...they let every moe.ron outside IN...great first set followed by a classic 2nd...even with a bunch of the new songs, everyone was just blown away...the only thing that stopped em was the curfew...now....gfunk....we got to get our boys to moe.down....i\'ve been pushing them on the moe pt board and to anyone in the moe.org that i can, but any other moerons in here need to start the helping.....what does grey call it...a grass roots effort....and when this works....YOU ALL HAVE TO SHOW UP....even leith
-
fuck yeah man.. It\'s time for the breakfast at the .down....
Hey what is your PT name.. lemme guess, dsdonn?
"i\'ve seen over 150 dead shows and been a fireman for 17 years and i\'ve never felt that helpless and frightened"
that\'s nuts!!
-
that\'s me rusty..pleasure to meet ya
-
likewise....
-
hey scott....you f*&^$ing pain in my ass.....give me a call...(when someone won\'t call you back, they cain\'t hide on the pb board...unless their a lurker pansy)
-
Anyone know anyone up at UVM, I\'ll go up on a flyering mission.
-
I have a few friends up there, pb fans too.
-
i know a whopping 2 people at UVM, don\'t think that helps
-
now....gfunk....we got to get our boys to moe.down...
definately. i\'ve never been to moe.down before but this is the year and the breakfast has to be there. After moe. & tb win jammys it would make sence to see them play together (that would be fucking insane). I\'m optimistic for this summer & the Breakfast.
-
just another fairly crowded moe show....
I cannot TELL YOU how MUCH it PISSES ME OFF that these guys can draw pretty giant crowds... and then I\'m seeing PB playing a RIDICLOUS jam out of Gladys and there are like 20 damn people there to see it.
Oh the frustration!
-
Why? Moe has been around ALOT longer than PB has and has got wayy more exposure...
-
Ah well now I have to say what I wanted to avoid saying what with all of the moe. fans on here.... I didn\'t want to offend. I hate moe. I really don\'t like them at all, and it bugs me when people tell me they are the epitome of masterful musicianship, and then they think pb\'s songwriting is simplistic and redundant and all I can say is "WHAT?"
no offense meant to anyone, it\'s all good if it makes your feet move and whatnot.....
-
and honestly if I have to hear another Recreational Chemistry I might shoot myself in the head
-

I like moe. & tb. tb a little more but moe. is damn good. what dont you like about em? I think they rip. I know what you mean though it sucks when people only like moe. & phish & refuse to give any other bands a chance. they will be jumping on the bandwagon though.
-
Well, I hear ya when people brag about them...Everytime I have seen them was a fun time....2002\'s show at the Palace was really, really, sick even for moes standards...Theyre pretty much a hit or miss band judging from my boots.
-
and honestly if I have to hear another Recreational Chemistry I might shoot myself in the head
harsh. i guess there is now hope for moe w/ you.
-
None of you know jack shit about music.. Period.... END IT YOU CRAZY ASS HONKEYS!!!

-
Hmmm......You must have like them at one time or another...How would you have listened to soo many Rec. Chemistrys then?
-
Sorry Gfunk, that comment about RC was uncalled for. I\'m a bitch. I\'m not going to get into the reason I don\'t like moe. music right now, I don\'t have the time ro the inclination, but it doesn\'t matter one way or another anyhow. Plus I don\'t want to piss anyone off.
Speaking of which,
None of you know anything about music.. Period.... END IT!!!
I hope you are joking around Joe. If so, haha. If not, that was WAY over the line, totally egotistical, and totally inappropriate.
-
Oh, and soo totally Joe....hahahaha
-
realisthis, a lot of my friends love moe. and drag me to shows from time to time. I keep giving em chance after chance because I figure if so many people whose taste in music I respect like them, there must be something to them... so yeah every time I\'ve seen them they\'ve played that song, played pretty much the same way each time... and everytime I\'ve seen them I\'ve been let down.
-
But, I respect the fact they they are a group of pretty decent musicians, they just don\'t do it for me.
-
Plus I don\'t want to piss anyone off.
i\'m not pissed, your entitled to your opinion. at least you\'ve given them chances.

Let\'s not forget the infamous bulimic picture of Rob Derhark circa 1987......
-
i will not say anything bad about moe. for the simple fact that one day i would never want it to potentially reflect and damage any sorta relationship with the breakfast....
-
Moe has their good and not so good moments, like anyother band. I do have to say though, that Al and the Transamerican 3/17/00 and Ha Ha The Moose (Moe. side projects) are the 2 worst shows I\'ve ever seen. I\'ve never seen more people walk out of a show than the Transamerican show.
