Title: Another Great Night of Jamming
Post by: tmn8r1 on January 07, 2009, 03:31:21 pm
Hey everyone - Tim here. So this show was awesome. Good attendance, Rickey Roux\'s daughter Rue was there. This night was a little less rock and more jazzy and explorational but still got raucous enough by the end of the second set. Garret Sayers a CT musician is awesome and although we\'ve known each other for a while (The Motet and Miracle Orchestra), we\'ve never jammed so that was a treat. Also a treat was Herman Green on Saxophone. He has played with a lot of people. He is from Memphis but lived in NYC for 22 years during the 50\'s and 60\'s and has played with the likes of John Coltrane, BB King, Lionel Hampton, and knew all the greats in jazz and r&b. He was excellent on tenor saxophone and i have learned a lot from the whole experience. Willie Waldman will be at The Field in two weeks I think, go check him and give some Breakfast love :) peace

I like that.  Yeah, she sent me a text which read "You should be crying at the fact that you are not here.  It\'s fucking insane!"  I\'m hoping Willie comes out this way soon and hopefully Tim will be on board.
