It\'s funny - What I wrote had the entire weekends festivities but I gvuess they had to make it work with the Kang/Lesh new years info.
Particle Drafts Lesh and Kang for Pre-New Year’s Show
Though Particle’s touring schedule has slowed while keyboardist Steve Molitz performs with Phil Lesh & Friends, the trio will end 2008 on a high note. On December 27, Particle will headline San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall, three days before Molitz appears with Lesh at the nearby Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Both Michael Kang and Lesh will join the group during its set, though the latter musician’s sit is being limited to “a special appearance.” Like other shows at the venue, a dinner option is available.
Kang also appeared with Particle this past weekend at both Boulder’s Fox Theatre and Denver’s Cervantes. The performances celebrated Particle’s anniversary and, to mark the occasion, featured a handful of new covers: Steve Wonder’s “Boogie On Reggae Woman,” Marvin Gaye’s “Inner City Blues,” Chris Robinson’s “Tumble**** In Eden,” the Grateful Dead’s “Shakedown Street” and Raidohead’s “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger.” In addition, guitarists Brian Jordan and Lucas Bingham both sat in with the band in Denver, while Molitz joined opening act The Breakfast onstage in Boulder for "Metropolis.” Bingham is best known as the axe-man in Particle bassist Eric Gould’s side-project Big Man\'s Gold.
