Watched it tonight. Only the second time I\'ve seen the show so I was confused as hell. But it seemed pretty entertaining so I might try to pic k up the Season One dvds somewhere. If they exist.

season One DVD\'s are going for roughly $40 on amazon.
can\'t wait to get the DVD myself, it\'s supposed to be like no other TV DVD set yet, with a silly amount of extras. I posted about it in the ohter Heroes thread

:thumbsup::thumbsup:
so far so good.
I\'m really liking the Hiro storyline so far. Drunk bearded Nathan is great too. Am I to understand that Noah (HRG) has a power as well (super strength) or is he just short tempered, dont\' get me wrong I loved him giving that fucking manager what for, I\'ve known people just like that. Yeah you\'re a manager at some stupid fuckin store so you think you\'re the shit.
Anyway really looking forward to this season.
More Recruits for Heroes: Origins
Heroes is taking a turn for the horrific.
Hostel director Eli Roth has signed on to pen and direct an episode of Heroes: Origins, the spinoff of the hit NBC sci-fi series.
Superman Returns writer Michael Dougherty is also onboard to pen an episode.
The two guest scribes join Clerks director Kevin Smith, who was previously announced as an Origins writer-director during Comic-Con.
Smith—a self-professed fan of the series—admitted at the time that it was a daunting task to be handed the reins to the first episode of the spinoff series.
"I just don\'t want to be the guy who ruins Heroes," he joked at the time.
Roth\'s other credits include Hostel: Part II and Cabin Fever, while Dougherty cowrote X2: X-Men United and the upcoming Trick \'r\' Treat, which he also directed.
NBC has ordered six episodes of Heroes: Origins, which centers on the adventures of characters not previously seen on the original show.
Each episode will introduce a new character and viewers will eventually have the chance to vote on which Origins character should be added to the main series for season three.
The spinoff will premiere in midseason, while Heroes is on hiatus, allowing for fewer repeats of the mothership series and for a less noticeable gap in programming.
The second season of Heroes premieres Monday

i was pretty psyched to see David Anders (Sark, from Alias) playing Takezo Sensei. hope there\'s an on-screen Alias reunion at some point with he and Matt (Greg Grunberg)..
great way to kick off the season though. thank you Nissan for the "limited commercial interruption". threw my time-shifting off a bit, but whatever.

Noah\'s got no powers dude remember he worked for the company I\'m sure their training is like the Navy Seals or something, he could easily kick that punk\'s ass with no powers and both hands tied behind his back.
-
it was ok, i\'ll probably keep watching it unless a really good football/baseball game is on. The pictures telling them they were gonna get killed in 24 hours was pretty interesting.
-
the dinner scene was shot edited, really well

after watching it again I agree. I also remembered the episode where they showed his past, and I\'m pretty sure it was discussed, yeah no powers, he\'s just a ser badass.

They have a ton of stuff as well as Heroes season 1 and 2. Sometimes the shows/movies have been taken down but there are a ton of streams that have not.
They usually have multiple versions as well. There were 2 HD copies of Season 2 premiere there with hours of the show being broadcast. Some rips / copies are better than others. Some will have subtitles but it is a great site for killing time or trying to find an old episode of a long cancelled TV show

sweet new heroes.....
good episode, I\'m really excited to see the way this season works out.
Love the new and improved bad ass Peter, he\'s finally passed that wimpy whiney stage, and is full fledged badassed. Very intrigued by the twins storyline, esp what exactly she does and how he helps her control it. Really pumped for this season...

really?! easily my least favorite part of this season so far. i feel like the show just grinds to a halt when they\'re on the screen.
they better do something with them fast.

 I think it\'s just the intrigue of trying to figure out what the fuck is going on......

Wonder Twin powers Activate!
Fixed that for ya.
-
good episode.
the inevitable return of Sylar. But powerless :chin:
I think Peter\'s storyline is my fav right now, ser badass.
you knew HRG was the one that captured Claire\'s boyfriend (forget his name West maybe) as soon as he started talking about it, that is gonna be trouble.
It\'s gonna be really interesting to see how they bring all this together.
oh and isn\'t the chick in New Orleans from Star Trek . Somebody on this crew is a def trekkie.
-
I\'ve tried to bring some life to this thread but aparantly no one seems interested.
Not a huge fan of this weeks episode, nothing from my 2 fav storylines (Hiro and Peter), but next week seems to be a mainly Peter episode so looking forward to it.
-
When the season has been as mediocre as this one well....
I do like the introduction of a new hero? in the waitress and the revelation about Matt\'s dad was unexpected.
-
LOVED last night\'s episode! the parkman/petrelli dual dream was VERY cool. the dream-maker is a badass!

FUCK!!!!!!!!!! Can I watch this on NBC.com? Due to fire coverage all of NBC\'s Primetime is going to be shown on Sunday night for us.
-
I looked last night to see if I could get the last episode and there was nothing on the Heroes episodes page... But perhaps it was just my computer being an asshole.

I always tape them, but from what i understand they always have episodes on the site the next day.
LOVED last night\'s episode! the parkman/petrelli dual dream was VERY cool. the [-]dream-maker[/-] nightmare man is a badass!
fixed. ;) Yeah he is def very cool. Does this mean that Parkman can do this as well? I would think so because he made the whole thing stop. Still waiting for more Peter and Hiro stuff. The previews made it look like that was what the whole episode was gonna be. We did get more than we have been though.
Figures that as soon as I had completely given up on this thread it is brought back to life.
-
i thought it was a good episode.... i feel like it\'s all a bit slow in the build up of the action but now that i think of it last seasons was kind of the same way. was that lighting bolt chic in last season?

nope.. she\'s new.

Bah. I think I missed last week\'s (not sure, can\'t remember) and I missed the first half of tonight\'s forgetting it was on. For some reason I can\'t get my computer to play the episodes on nbc.com. Every time I try it tells me to download Adobe Flash, which I already have on my computer. wtf?
-
SO glad the Hiro/Japan is (or, appears to be) over! great ending tonight. still more build-up, but i\'m liking the pace.
-
Yeah the Hiro in Japan was seriously dull.
-
ya, they ended that just in time. back to saving the world.
so i guess Jessica is the starter of the plague but the other guy (Dr.) is still dead was there anybody left in that group picture?
-
"Next week all your questions will be answered..." suuure they will.

Kring himself is keenly aware that Heroes is broken. Here\'s his candid critique:
THE PACE IS TOO SLOW \'\'We assumed the audience wanted season 1 — a buildup of intrigue about these characters and the discovery of their powers. We taught [them] to expect a certain kind of storytelling. They wanted adrenaline. We made a mistake.\'\'
THE WORLD-SAVING STAKES SHOULD HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED SOONER The premonition of nuclear apocalypse created a larger context that unified every story line last season. Kring now sees that Volume 2 (the first 11 episodes of season 2) would have been better served if Peter\'s vision of viral Armageddon had appeared in the season premiere rather than episode 7. \'\'We took too long to get to the big-picture story,\'\' he says.
THE ROOKIES DIDN\'T GREET THEMSELVES PROPERLY New Heroes Monica (Dana Davis), Maya (Dania Ramirez), and Alejandro (Shalim Ortiz) \'\'shouldn\'t have been introduced in separate story lines that felt unattached to the show. The way we introduced Elle (Kristen Bell) — by weaving her in via Peter\'s story line — is a more logical way to bring new characters into the show.\'\' (That said, Kring says a few newbies won\'t make it beyond this second volume, which wraps Dec. 3.)
HIRO WAS IN JAPAN WAY TOO LONG Hiro\'s (Masi Oka) time-bending adventure in 17th-century Japan — where he mentored samurai hero Takezo Kensei (David Anders) — finally came to an end on Nov. 5. But Kring says it \'\'should have [lasted] three episodes. We didn\'t give the audience enough story to justify the time we allotted it.\'\'
YOUNG LOVE STINKS Kring regrets sticking Claire (Hayden Panettiere) with a super-dud boyfriend and forcing Hiro to moon over a cutesy princess. \'\'I\'ve seen more convincing romances on TV,\'\' he admits. \'\'In retrospect, I don\'t think romance is a natural fit for us.\'\'
Yet while Heroes has finally found some dramatic traction, this second volume is pretty much a wash. The Dec. 3 episode has been retooled to function as a potential season finale — a move inspired by the writers\' strike and a desire to give the show \'\'a clean slate\'\' when it goes back into production for Volume 3. At that point, Kring wants to craft a rebooted Heroes that can attract new fans and win back those who\'ve tuned out: \'\'The message is that we\'ve heard the complaints — and we\'re doing something about it.\'\'

Interesting.
I agree that this season has been slow. The only storylines I found remotely interesting were Hiro and Peter. The rest of it disjointed and somewhat stupid. I always liked Hiro so that is probably why I was interested in his adventure in the past, but I agree that it was taking too long and they didn\'t really go anywhere with it. They maya, sylar, alejandro stuff was just boring, they killed off the shape shifter w/o any hype or reason really and she was a very interesting character and a useful plot tool, with being able to manipulate what is being seen etc.
-
fuckin writers. It may have worked out for the best for heroes, but if this fucks up House I\'m gonna be upset.
-
I cannot even express how much this new blonde chick irritates me. (I think her name is Elle? Elle is a stupid name.) I really would like to kick her in the teeth. I am not even sure WHY she is so annoying.
-
those will be the last bad words you speak of kristen bell. kthx.
-
Just because someone is attractive doesn\'t mean they aren\'t annoying. Come on now.

that\'s unheard of.

-
sorry joc I\'m with dave on this one. blinded by her beauty. anybody rember her role on deadwood.
i was pleasantly surprised by this episode. better than i expected.
-
ahhh it was the same the other season. everybody wants instant gratification
-
another quality ep last night.
glad they finally got the adam/hiro\'s dad thing out there. it was pretty obvious, but, at least it\'s done.
wish they could have kept HRG dead for a little longer than 10 minutes. i mean, as soon as he got shot, i thought there was no way he could be dead and off the show, but i think the whole effect would have been better if they\'d played it out a little bit. but i guess with only 2 episodes left, there\'s not much room to work with.
guess the question now is, who brought him back? did he and mohinder have the whole thing scripted from the start? did KB bring him back, since she may not trust daddy anymore after HRG put a little doubt in her head? maybe even Adam? this one i\'m stumped on.
-
the doctors used his daughter blood to bring him back.
all they really wanted was the blood.... i don\'t see why it was such a big deal. it\'s also kind of weird some were given these powers...... oh and now i get it Adam was Kensai or what ever his name was
-
what doctors? the company? they don\'t care if HRG lives or dies.
it\'s also not necessarily clairebear\'s blood. it could be adam\'s (or peter\'s).
-

they showed that company guy taking blood from Claire when her dad calls in for the trade. i say it\'s Claire\'s blood from the mohinder guy. the sheet wasn\'t over his head so they must have known he would be coming back to life.
-
def one of the better episodes of the season. I agree Noah should have been dead alittle longer but :pumps fist in air: fuckin writers! I\'m sure the original outline had things working differently. Never thoguth that the whole thing might have been scripted by Noah and Mohinder. I don\'t know that I buy that though. Def saw the Adam thing coming but had to be done. The next two episodes should be good.

KB wears a bikini (http://thesuperficial.com/2007/09/kristin_bell_wears_bikinis.php)
-
Perhaps the company wants more from Claire and they think keeping her father alive is the best way to get at her.
-
i\'m sorry, but with one episode left, tonight\'s episode was a big steaming pile of shit.

if the art looks like the cover, not too into it. No offense. :)

I believe the actual comic is done by the same guy that did all of Isaac\'s paintings in the show.

Oh, well that sounds better!
