I: jam > Attraction To Shade Ditty > Honey Butter > Cut Me Some Slack, Rust > Gladys Pimp And Kangaroos With Me > Honey Butter, The Chase*
* with \'Layla\' (Derek And The Dominos) tease.
Thanks to Spacey for the setlist!
-
I hope that Gladys Pimp knocked em dead and all who made it had a blast. peace
-
Not a moment to breathe in that setlist.
-
Looks like a nice set. Kinda wish we were there.
-
when they teased Layla in The Chase at the Saint last December it was freakin sick. That tease works perfectly at that part of the song. I\'m sure it was dope yesterday too.
-
all I got to say is that for a afternoon festival slot it felt like a late nightwarehouse party.. everyone getting down holy fucking tranced out gladys...
-
Gladys was the highlight of the set. There was a like slow down stop jam. Take a listen once the disc is available.
-
the (stage) turnout for the breakfast was by a long shot the best of any daytime slot either day. adrian was on fire whe whole set. amazing energy in high heat.
one of the highlights of my day (besides seeing the breakfast and rmb almost back to back) ... was hearing random folks EVERYWHERE proclaiming that "the breakfast was the best meal of the day" and "I FUCKING love those guys" over and over, after their set. you never would\'ve known it was 3 in the afternoon if not for the beautiful sunshine. i understand its a strangefolk festival, but its ridiculous that the breakfast cant headline.
-
great looking show!!
-
I wont be abandoning Team Hard Luck anytime soon, however, Team Gladys was given a treat and a half as the band rippied the shit outta it. By far the musical highlight of the weekend......
-
Although Gladys was really good and they broke it down. The GBFBITS jam and the Rufus from the night before were super ser.
-
Was great seeing the band Sunday. I saw Tim while I was making a beer run to the car and he was hoping his fingers would work for the show.
They definitely set the tone for the rest of the day. 2nd Biggest crowd of the day was for the Breakfast. I noticed the front of stage fill in for their set. after the set those people took off. The guys from the Juggling Suns were setting up as the Breakfast were playing their set and they were definitely stopping to take notice and groove on the tunes.
The crowd did not return until the Ryan Montbleau set..
I really enjoyed the set. recording sounds pretty good as well. I hope to have it up and to you guys tonight or tomorrow.
-
i don\'t know that Tuneage from the night before was pretty freak\'n sick

That is true, but I have to say that Gladys Pimp owned the weekend....However, it would be nice to hear each set side by side.....Either way, the boys were on fire this weekend....
-
Derick you are right. The Tunage was huge.

ya man, Ron was tearing into the song and the back and forth from Tim and Ron....... awesome
i thought the Gladys was a very close second. i looked at my cell phone for the time remaining in there set as they were already at least 10 minutes into the song and was like..... are they just going to jam the crap out of this tune till they get booted off.... and they pretty much did. and i was SUPER PUMPED when they were told they were done and i was yelling to them that it was 10 of and they proceeded to bust out a Chase. now thats the way to breath some life into the mid day.
-
Gladys had that jam, which was really nice but the Tunage duel was great. Really will need to hear both again, not sure if Sterling was recorded on audio. Strange Creek Gladys was definitely the highlight of the set and I felt they were only warming up by then.
-
When Ronnie walked up to Tim during Tunage the "duel" was the best i have ever seen. They were taking the jam and twisting it around for longer than usual. Then Adrian came in at the precise moment to drop a big ole exclamation point on the sucka........
-
i really hope a recording surfaces maybe goovenlumens knows about the recording sitch.... i wonder how his shin bone is doing to

I know that Jed from Nico Blue was video/audio taping the whole set. I am not sure when we will get a copy, but probably not till we see him again (I am thinking that outdoor show up in Syracuse)......
I did talk to Andrew regarding his shin bone later that evening. It wasn\'t broken which was good, but he definitely got a good lump.......
-
I am so pissed i could not make it to the show. I can\'t complain because i was in Hawaii but i can not belive they picked that show to bring out CMSS. I asked the trio to play it for my birthday and i got a very poor reaction and not even a tease. I hope it was fucking sweet and that they throw it up on archive. I need to hear that gladys as well.

chill braaaahseph.....they have played it in like 3 of the last 4 shows.....dont worry, slack is here to stay......
-
CMSS was a super nice treat in the Sunday afternoon daze I was in
-
these two festival sets look great! cant wait for cut me some slack
-
Steve- Its justin... did you find the tank I was talkin\' about in the lot???? I had a killer time, and I\'m glad everyone else shared shared the same feeling. The only thing that sucked was that I lost that sweet Stell Artolis glass w/ the gold rim... o well.
-
glad to see CMSS back in the rotation. love that tune.
edit: btw, this is DEFINITELY a jam > CMSS.... ;)
-
streamin this over archive right now...
just heard the intro to The Chase...The guitar work in place of the organ solo was a surprise...
