As Mandler asked in the boxes thread:
here\'s a question, do we want 1998 for the inception of the band or 2000 (I think) for the inception of the song?
Please discuss so I can post a preview and get feedback. Thanks.

Wow! You are actually doing this. Cool. I almost didn\'t bother pointing out the original, now I\'m glad I did.
Any way, seeing as Space City is mentioned in other songs, and it\'s a recurring theme in Breakfast Music, I say 1998
-
i\'d prolly guess song but want to say band

that\'s what I was thinking, I feel like it should be song, but my heart want sthe band inception

Besides the year question, I just posted a poll. This will not be going on a t-shirt for the time being. It\'s either gonna be a hoodie or long sleeved tee, with \'the breakfast\' going down the left sleeve. I think it\'ll look better on either of those, and it\'s also easier to get the band name on it somewhere rather than having just the band name across the back (as of right now no web site URL is goin on it)

nice new apparel is always a good thing. i don\'t mind either way what it\'s put on..... how about the myspace page

I want to say that with "The Breakfast" down the sleeve it would look better on a long sleeve. But I\'ve been wanting a Breakfast hoodie for a long time, so I\'d like it either way.
-
space city affair is also the name of the bands publishing company, so I think it holds a larger place than just another song. I say use the bands inception date, 1998.

For those of you who are feeling lost:

Astros= Affair
1962= 1998 or 2000
star= atomic b logo

I\'m down for a hoodie. And it should say 1998 :)
cool

I\'ll post a couple previews in a little while, I have to run to the shop before they close and order more hats for the tour (apparantely they\'re going fast, who knew).

Here\'s a few previews. I stuck with the basic red/black color scheme but it could be changed to whatever. There a few very slight differences between my artwork and the original Astros shirt, most notably I changed the pale yellow to white. As for the sleeve thing, I\'m open to other options, but feel the band name should be somewhere (or the logo alone would work too). Discuss.

Not a fan of the red. Too bright. Maybe ifd it wasn\'t so much of a firetruck red.
I really dig the way it turned out on the black though.
here\'s another question that would swing my vote. What the quality/price of the hoodie be? If it\'s gonna be super thin cheap hoodie I\'d prefer the long sleeve. But I don\'t want to pay an arm and a leg for it either. So middle ground would be good.

Black hoodie, definitely! It matches the hat :)
And, may as well ask some questions before these go into print/production:
1. How much?
2. When will they be ready?
3. Are "girlie hoodies" available?
-
-black
-1998 for the year
-not a big fan of large lettering down the sleeve
-shirt (Dying for a hoodie but holding out for a different graphic. Hoping for something embroidered and smaller. Kind of like the hat.)
Thanks for hopping on this project.

:yay: The black long sleeve es muy bueno.

Personally, I tend to wear a sweatshirt/hoodies much more than "long sleeved tshirts" - Winter\'s coming soon, so something that has pockets would be much better to keep my hands warm in would work much better than some thin cotton shirt. (imho)

1. Not sure yet. Depends on what the final decision is (hoodie/longsleeve)
2. Sooner than later, most likely before/at the freakout (crosses fingers)
3. what the hell is a girlie hoodie? so, that said, no, probably not. unless you girls want pink or something ;)

haha!! i was wondering the same thing. probably just a more feminine (less boxy) cut to show off our curves. not pink.
i like the idea of a long sleeve shirt with the name of the band on the sleeve in addition to the logo that you have on the front....that way even if i wear it under a short sleeve shirt or my fleece vest (which is common winter wear for me), you can still see the name of the band...but not SO big that it looks silly, ya know?!
-
Space City Affair, LLC (the band\'s business name) was formed in 1998, so def. 1998.
-
black hoodie would be headie

girl hoodie = shorter than traditional sweatshirts... see pic for details..... (& doesn\'t have to be pink, though it would be cute!)

1998, boyeeee

1998
I\'ll take a red one.
HOODIE!!!!
No Name on sleeve, that is overkill and looks like ass. Big band logo is all you need, keep it clean and simple.

it\'s either all red or all black from what I understand.
Th ename on the sleeve could look cool IMO, I\'d want to see a mock up.
-
if it\'s possible to order a "girlie hoodie" that would be great. if not, i\'ll take a "manly hoodie"...in RED!!
-
UGH, I hope the red doesn\'t win out. I can\'t stand it. Don\'t get me wrong I\'d get one anyway, but..........
-
Hoodie. Black. If the band name needs to be anywhere, maybe on the back. On the sleeve wouldn\'t be so bad, if it wasn\'t larger than life.
-
I\'m not a big fan of words on sleeves either...
between red or black I\'d havta say blue
-
I\'ll have to check on it sometime this week, but it may be possible to do them both red and black, they\'d just have to clean the screen and use the opposite colored ink. That said, we can probably do any color combo anyone\'s heart desires (they usually don\'t have a minimum order amount but if you want something like Orange lettering on a neon pink shirt, or something wacky that hasn\'t been mentioned, I\'m personally gonna require a 3-5 minimum request for such, I don\'t want these guys having 24 shirts/hoodies ordered and have 12 different color combos, that\'s too much to ask).
I\'ll have a mock up of a sleeve sometime tomorrow afternoon. Just got home from my first day at new job (suck already but oh well), and have to leave now to get to poker night at peck\'s.
-
Congrats on your new job!!! I think...
-
scratching the sleeve idea for now. getting a quote on tackle twilled hoodies instead of screen printed (probably gonna be too expensive for the twill but I\'m gonna see anyway).
