Ha!! I think that might be the show that Dave and I watched with the bartender and manager. Can\'t really remember, but I don\'t think anyone else was there. There was a couple staying there that came in for a brief period of time. Any help Dave?

i *think* you were there.. i know for sure that kroop was...
-
That\'s right...Kroopster was there also. Was that the place with the trampoline in the back?
-
it was!
i also remember driving kroop\'s bronco home (not sure how *i* got there), and almost hitting a deer..

 I don\'t remember that part. I think we got wasted on that trampoline...looking at the stars and satellites.

each jump brings us closer to god!

trampamaline.......Ha.
That show looks like pure silliness.
-
I wish they would play shows more like that one. IMO the element of shock and awe would roost the crowd into decadence and phishlike obsession.

you are one hundered and 10 percent correct......however there has to be a crowd there :rimshot:
If tonight goes as planned, there will be some shock and awe guaranteed.....

On every flyer... "Everyone Gets Laid" ala PCU, with Timmy\'s head on Charlize Theron\'s body ( in Monster).

It was. Adrian playing the pork tenderloins was probably one of the funniest things I\'ve seen him do.
-
this is my friend from high school (drew burns)\'s festival, he told me this the other day. i told him to join .info. everyone should go!!!
from a myspace bulletin:
I\'m glad that you\'ve expressed interest in helping with the LIBERATE Music and Arts Festival, August 3rd and 4th, 2007. The event is being held at the Stratton Mountain Resort in southern Vermont. The stage will be at the Sun Bowl, Stratton\'s beautiful natural amphitheater. We should have all the bands finalized within the next week and will begin promoting then.

looked up some more information on this festival
Price $75 (online, advanced sales, 2 day pass)
$85 (day of, at gate)
doesn\'t look like they offer a 1 day pass. since the breakfast would be playing both nights this probably wont be an issue.
Rules:
No camping in the festival grounds at Stratton Mountain
No selling food or alcohol on Stratton grounds. If you are caught selling food, you will be removed and fined 250$
Pets are allowed at the festival as long as they are leashed. Loose Pets will be delivered to the local humaine society
All vehicles, bags, etc. are subject to search upon entry to the festival site
All attendees must have bracelets to be on the festival grounds
If you are found on site without a bracelet, you will be escorted to the front gate to buy one or to leave the grounds
Re-entry to the grounds is allowed, as long as you still have your original bracelet on
No Glass
No Weapons of any kind
No Open Fires
No Fireworks
No Illegal substances
no camping is a bummer but i am sure there are close by sites available.
additional information can be found here http://www.empvt.com/

Great! Would have been really sad if they got bagged on this one. I love festivals at ski mountains!
-
wow, sweet!! i love stratton!! i practically lived there this winter. there\'s sweet hiking all around the area, especially on stratton mountain itself. the long trail (great beer, but that\'s not what i\'m talking about here...) and the appalachian trial intersect at some point at the summit. i really hope to check out this festival. can\'t wait to see what other bands are playing, but two nights of the breakfast sounds awesome enough for me.

here is a message from my friend Andrew who is running the Liberate fest:
What\'s up, Esther?
I saw those message board posts you put up. Thanks a TON! Our situation has changed a bit, I think for the better. The location is now at the Bondville Fairgrounds at the base of Stratton Mountain in Bondville, VT. There WILL be free on-site camping with a large healing-arts geodesic dome from Allard Engineering with yoga, reiki, massage, vibrational healing (w/didj), and a late-night acoustic teahouse. The band lineup is looking like this:
Soulive
the Everyone Orchestra (w/TBD special guests)
Lotus
Hot Buttered Rum String Band
Spam Allstars
DJ Harry
The Breakfast
Peter Prince & Moon Boot Lover
Gordon Stone Band
Turkey Bouillon Mafia w/ Christina Durfee
Panda Watch
and more...
Tickets will be $90 w/$5 tax, shipping, handling, available through the online store at http://www.empvt.com. We\'re working on some other exciting things, too, but I\'ll get to that later. Are you still in Boston these days or did you go west already? Anyways, I hope you\'re well.
Peace
Andrew
Everyone Orchestra, Lotus, and Hot Buttered Rum are currently not confirmed but extremely likely to play, they are waiting for confirmation from these bands within 2 days. also, tickets are available for purchase now at the website (http://www.empvt.com). definitely hitting this up and supporting my old friend.
-
nice. glad to hear about the camping change. and lineup looks cool. seriously hope (and plan) to be there.
-
definitely looks worth hitting up. just need to check and see if I can get those days off. Are the Breakfast playing 2 nights?
-
Lotus, sweet.
Lookin\' good!

yes drew said they\'re playing both nights with a 90 minute set...so there\'s your answer: definitely go!
-
The lineup and theme is incredible. However it\'s a bit of an oxymoron to fuse probably the most toxic music fanbase with a healing/arts festival. Esther does your friend still need practicioners?

as long as the cubicle fortress allows me to leave for the weekend, I\'m there. Breakfast in VT is not to be missed.

Yay...camping!! This festie keeps getting better and better!
-
ya, this is a no brainer......
-
wow, this def does keep getting better. on site camping is key. im a big fan of soulive too. ive been seeing them for about 6-7 years now and they always put on a good show. hopefully i can get back from the florida keys in time to hit this up.
-
Soulive might have just sealed this deal for me. Just need to check with work this afternoon.
-
John Brown\'s Body was just added.
-
any word on what the breakfasts time slot/stage time would be?
If it\'s like latenight 3 am to sunrise sets both nights I am totally all in. But if its like 8 - 9 pm both nights... meh.....

considering the festival ends much earlier than 3am, it is ser doubtful, although it would be headie.

Word on the Terrapin board is the festival has been CANCELLED
-
It\'s been postponed. The town of Winhall wouldn\'t let them secure the permits they needed. There is still hope yet....
-
So I guess in Vermont, you only do what you want when you have the proper permits....
BOGUS!
Didnt anyone see Wayne\'s World 2? You gotta get that paperwork filled out and approved!!!!
-
too busy hitting the dope and realizing that getting permits wasn\'t worth doing...
-
thats to bad, this would have been a fun one
-
Damn, I was really looking forward to this one!
-
now they have to actually liberate this festival of arts and music from the powers that be, makes perfect sense
-
We are not defeated but we\'re not welcome in Winhall and the town selectboard has made it nearly impossible to secure necessary permits.
From the email I recieved... Bummer. I was going to be working in the healing tent offering workshops on sound healing, reiki, and guided meditations.
-
sonofagun. they better get their shit together and get a new spot for this fest.
-
aw man. that\'s too bad. hope the festie finds a new location somewhere else in vt...
-
the fest has been cancelled =(
from their myspace bulletin:
Unfortunately, due to some new permit requirements given to us from the local town, Liberate will have to be cancelled this year. We wouldn\'t be getting the approval OR denial of the permit until July 20th, and we just couldn\'t risk that for your sakes. We will, however, be putting on a rockin\' show in the Burlington area on that same weekend. Stay tuned for more details for this show and for next year\'s event. Thanks for your understanding, folks!
was really hoping this would come to fruition, maybe next year?
-
Its that darn "bar" sometimes you eat him, other times he eats you........
Hopefully we are still part of that "rockin show" they are putting on that same weekend.....
