There is a new tightness in the Breakfast that has never been there before. The communitcation between the trio is quick, nonverbal, and seamless. I dont feel that any song has suffered from the lack of keys.
A few first time played by the new look Breakfast
WPOAC
Sundance
Late and the Great/Overexposure
Fucking SER......

made it back to work at 5:30 after a little bar hoppin with tim and a couple of cute ladies. tried to do some edits for the urban fetch record, but was nodding out in between cross fades. so i got maybe 2 hours of sleep. redbull=friend.

marathon fucking performance last night!! boy, man, god, shit. I don\'t know how they played so fluidly while keeping up with some of those waves.. although I do see why jamcruise and the moe.cruise are so hyped up- music+boat=:bounce2: the boat although small at first glance easily fit the hundred something people aboard.. holy puppetrywich batman!! bananas!! intension came out of nowhere as did fucking gravity.. gravity jam : everything about this show was pretty much HUGE. no need to continue my blabber into the second set..
-
show was great, however i woke up this morning with a toe that looks like it needs stitches and a ridiculous bump on my head, can\'t really remember how i did either to myself, regardless, very good time and good meeting you guys who i hadnt before( stephengencs, obsession, chrisf). For me wpoac was my highlight and it was a great time all around
-
wow! looks like a nice set :)
lucky bastards.
-
Jenny, you and I are flying out for the next boat cruise....savvy? :)
-
ugghhhhh..... BLACK THURSDAY LIVES ON!!!!!
i thought it was a great show, def. some moments in there when i closed my eyes and held on to the side of the boat and i seemed the music was just flowing with the waves and the rocking of the boat. i thought the movement was great it kept everyone on the dance floor moving. i thought the guys have progressed a lot since the Corner Pocket but i think they are still fine tuning there new roles, a couple moments of keys/guitar clash and some vocals issues but it think these guys have nowhere to go but up. i was asked a couple times what i thought my response...... these guys are F\'n awesome THIS (trio style) how ever long it lasts will only go to strengthen these guys because they are forced to learn each others roles and by doing so will make them more in tune with what each of the expects..... that being said
Ron is a bass laying robot, Adrian has a secret hidden arm he busts out at shows and Tim... well everyone knows Tim tares it up. i thought this show was a improvement from a couple weeks ago.
and officially the worst load in/ out i have ever been a part of...... well worth it though

sounds like a great time wish i could have been there
another boat cruise?

they seem to be pretty booked through early sept. which is when they stop for the season ( I think), so prolly not until next year, unless they schedule one for the boston harbor cruises, which don\'t seem to occur to often..
load in= piece of cake :) thanks again derick for the ride, brah...

what do you suspect the attendance was?
How did soundcheck go?

Very rough estimate, I\'d say about 100 people. honestly, i thought the crowd was just the right size for the boat. the dance floor was crowded the whole time, and everyone was groovin pretty hard. meanwhile, there was also a sizable crowd out on the deck at all times. Any more people would have been uncomfortable, imo.
sorry, no clue about sound check.
-
i saw them soundchecking see the light and the chase, not sure if thats any indication of how "it went" but its all i saw
-
The capcity on the boat is 200, I believe. I\'m not sure what the attendance was last year but I thought it was rather roomy. If the boys can attract 100 people on a Wednesday night, I imagine that a weekend gig would be close to capcity.

a little over a hunderd i\'d say
soundcheck..... needed sound checking to start off but worked out well in the end. i think Chris recorded it

yeah, man. definitely. the crowd, imo, looked on the younger side of things, meaning that they probably didn\'t have to get up early to go to work the next morning and do "real world" type of shit. maybe internships or summer camp. ya know?

or summer break from highschool by the looks of a couple of those kids

my real word life today consists of nodding off in front of my computer in between .info arcade games. god bless slow days at work.
-
as far as capacity, I heard about 110 paid.... there was def. part of a rufus during soundcheck..noooiiicee.
-
why can\'t we get one of these in boston? freakin entrain has a cruise

There were a couple of kids who, by my observation, got wasted off of a few Coronas. They looked pretty shocked/surprised to be holding beers.
And for this guy to say that kids looked like youngsters...
-
assuming your referring to me and my friends who were at one point drinking coronas, not only were we no surprised to be holding alcohol (given that last year on the boat it was not an issue) but none of us got "wasted" off of coronas. just thought id add my piece on the patronizing tone of the last post

So what, there were like 6? maybe 7 year olds drinking on the boat? :duck:
-
OMS, dont worry. drew JUUUUST crossed the threshold of being able to dish out shit like that rather than taking shit like that, so he\'s still excersizing this novelty. you\'ll be able to do the same in a few years. this is the circle of life. *cue lion king music*
-
I am 7 years old, and had no problem buying as much beer as I wanted.
